Mike Dean And Shepard Fairey Reunite For Their Second ‘Obey 4:22’ NFT Auction

Last month, well-known producer Mike Dean and noted street artist Shepard Fairey joined forces for Obey 4:22, their first NFT auction. The collection featured open-ended digital collectibles created with help from Original Protocol, and it was inspired by the duo’s experiences during the pandemic, aiming to showcase how “art and music can be personal, immersive and connecting to serve all of humanity.” Now, just a month after the first Obey 4:22, Dean and Fairey are reuniting for a sequel.

The second round will commence on May 27th at 9pm PST and last for 48 hours, ending on May 29 at 9pm PST. In this edition, the top eight bidders will each be given digital items from the rare collection, which features physical art, two never-to-be-released tracks, and exclusive experiences provided by Dean.

Items from the collection will be dished out on a tiered basis. The highest bidder will receive a unique Platinum Edition Animated NFT Art and all 7 Gold and a Silver Tier NFT Art for a total of 8 NFTs. The package also includes a one-of-one, never-to-be-released song from Dean, one song collaboration in the studio with Dean, one studio hangout session with Dean, a one-of-one unique 24×24 physical album art created by Fairey, and multitrack stems for Dean’s entire ‘4:22’ album.

The second, third, and fourth-highest bidders will get a unique Gold Edition Animated NFT Art and all Silver Tier NFT Art, which amounts to four NFTs. They will also receive a studio hangout session with Dean, a unique 12×12 Physical Earth Force Art created by Fairey, and multitrack stems for Mike Dean’s track “Earth Force.”

Finally, the remaining bidders within the top eight will earn one unique Silver Edition NFT Art made by Fairey for the never-to-be released song, “To The Moon,” made by Dean.

“School Of Rock” Star Kevin Clark Killed In Accident, Jack Black Reacts

He didn’t have a lengthy Hollywood career but Kevin Clark was still an icon for a generation of School of Rock lovers. The 2003 film starring Jack Black centered around a teacher who hilariously builds the confidences of a team of misfit children and forms them into a real rock band. Kevin Clark portrayed the drummer, Freddy Jones nicknamed Spazzy McGee, and according to TMZ, he later said he got the role because he could actually play the drums.

Although School of Rock was his only movie role, Clark was a beloved musician who was known to play gigs in the Chicago area. On Wednesday (May 26), tragic news surfaced stating that Clark had passed away following a bike accident. He was 32.

Clark was immediately rushed to the hospital but sadly died from his injuries. TMZ stated that the woman who struck Clark wasn’t arrested at the scene, however, officers issued her citations. People have flooded social media with tributes, including Jack Black who grieved in a solemn post to the fallen musician.

“Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul.,” Black wrote. “So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community.” We send our sincerest condolences to Kevin Clark’s loved ones. Read through a few tributes below.

Nicki Minaj Celebrates “Beam Me Up Scotty” Being Highest Charting Re-Release Mixtape

Hours ago, Nicki jumped back on Instagram to share her latest record-breaking accomplishment, this time celebrating Beam Me Up Scotty officially becoming the highest-charting re-release mixtape from a rapper in Hip Hop history.

Nicki penned a lengthy caption detailing why this means so much to her in today’s music climate, especially in the Rap industry. “I love you guys so much,” Nicki began. “Thank you. Can’t wait to share my album with you real soon. [red heart emojis].”

24kGoldn And Future Seek ‘Company’ From A Plethora Of Women In Their Carefree New Video

After sharing his debut album, El Dorado, earlier this year, San Francisco’s own 24kGoldn has remained quiet. That came to an end today with the release of his new video for “Company,” which sports an appearance from Future. It begins with 24kGoldn surrounded by a number of women in a room draped in gold fabrics and accessories. After walking through the house for a while, 24kGoldn lends the mic to Future, who posts up in a jewelry-filled tub with a pair of ladies as he rips through his verse.

The new album arrived months after 24kGoldn landed the first chart-topping track of his career with “Mood.” At the time, the San Francisco native celebrated the feat in a post to his Instagram post. “I’m only 19 years old, I’m not even 20 years old and we’re on top of the world, No. 1 on the Billboard charts,” he said in a video. “I did not think this sh*t was gonna happen this fast, if I’m being 100 percent honest with y’all. But I’m grateful as f*ck. I knew we could do it, and it was just a matter of time, yo.”

You can watch the new video for “Company” above.

El Dorado is out now via Columbia. Get it here.

Ariana Grande Shows Off Her Wedding Day Photos

Popstar Ariana Grande has officially tied the knot. News of the event was first reported last week to TMZ, and later confirmed by her reps. The reps stated it was a small ceremony with less than 20 people present.

On Wednesday morning, her anxious fans finally got to see what the wedding looked like, when Ariana posted 12 photos in 3 consecutive posts from the commemoration. Her “Arianators” lit up with joy for their idol, quickly making her trend on Twitter.Grande and her now-husband, real estate agent Dalton Gomez, announced their engagement back in December 2020, and have succeeded to keep the majority of their relationship private, so it’s no surprise their wedding flew under the radar as well. Grande and Gomez are seen showing their love for each other in the new photos, by way of passionate kisses, surrounded by beautiful flowers hanging from the ceiling and an outdoor patio, as the wedding venue was actually Grande’s Montecito home.

The bride was wearing her iconic high ponytail, but with a twist of curls at the end and her wedding veil at the top. The posts include comments from people like Khloe Kardashian, former Victorious castmate Victoria Justice and her doppleganger YouTuber Gabi Demartino, all sharing their happiness for her as well as good wishes for the couple.

Grande’s last post is short and sweet, just like the glimpse we get into the couple’s relationship: a blurry photo of another loving kiss with the caption “5.15.21,” the day the couple married. Grande walked down the aisle holding hands with her mother, beside her father, in a Vera Wang dress, who she first collaborated with back in 2018 for the Met Gala.

May the bride and the groom have a happy, loving marriage, and may the rest of the world blast “Thank you, Next” as Grande will no longer be saying those words. Now that the couple are married, fans will be patiently waiting for the next, hopefully music-related, announcement from the singer. Maybe she’ll accept Moneybagg Yo’s invitation to collab.

A few weeks ago, Kawhi made a rare appearance on Instagram Live where he announced that he was working on Culture Jam project that fuses together the worlds of hip-hop and basketball. “The ‘Culture Jam’ project, it’s just merging hip hop and basketball together, you know what I mean,” said Leonard. “Pretty much, coming from our background, it goes hand-in-hand. So, May 7th we got NBA YoungBoy and Rod Wave dropping a single. It’s fire.”

May 7th came and went without any sign of the single but it’ll finally be arriving in its entirety this Friday. A post on Culture Jam’s Instagram page shared a “PSA” from the Clippers star announcing the single “Everything Different” ft. Youngboy Never Broke Again and Rod Wave. The song snippet was accompanied by footage of Kawhi practicing in a gym by himself at 6 a.m.

This wouldn’t be the first time Youngboy Never Broke Again and Rod Wave have worked together. Last year, Rod Wave made an appearance on NBA Youngboy and Rich The Kid’s collaborative project, Nobody Safe on the song, “Sorry Momma.”

Check out the snippet of Rod Wave and Youngboy’s upcoming single dropping this Friday, May 28th.
