Before they even released the full track, the City Girls found massive success with their single, “Twerkulator.” a snippet of the song hit TikTok and before the Rap duo knew it, there were over 1 million creations on the app, and now Yung Miami and JT have returned with the full song. What was meant to be a normal release turned into controversy after City Girls shared a clip of themselves behind the scenes at the photoshoot for the cover art. One of the Clermont twins took to social media to call the rappers out, accusing them of stealing a pose the twins used during a previous photoshoot.

After a bit of online squabbling, it seems that the drama has been laid to rest. City Girls are known for their club-ready hits that are beloved by fans, and with summer right around the corner, it’s clear that they’re hoping that “Twerkulator” becomes a staple in nightclubs around the globe. Lil Nas X Gets Vulnerable About Childhood Fears On “Sun Goes Down”

He rocked the industry with “Old Town Road” and caused havoc after releasing the music video to his “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” single, and now Lil Nas X has returned with a song that he has called his most “vulnerable” to date. The 22-year-old artist has been enjoying all that fame and riches can bring, but he still struggles with issues that he’s faced since his childhood. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Nas X explained the inspiration behind his latest single, “Sun Goes Down.”

“I definitely tell about some of my upbringing and it’s also just a really great song,” he said. “And the video goes back to my past, to 2017 Lil Nas X in his prime. Like he was at prom, working at Taco Bell, and what he did in his room, praying his sexuality away. Like all these things that I experienced that I wanted to share with my fans.”

Sean Kingston Is Thankful For Support On “Darkest Times” Ft. G Herbo

Following an eight-year hiatus, Sean Kingston is returning to the spotlight. The singer is known for his classic hits like “Beautiful Girls” and “Take You There,” but for the last eight years, he’s busied himself by working with artists behind the scenes. Kingston recently caught up with us for an exclusive interview where he spoke about his upcoming album, Deliverance, as well as his new G Herbo-assisted single, “Darkest Times.”

In our interview, Kingston shared the meaning behind the single. “It’s basically just me explaining when I’m going through something—whenever somebody go through what they go through, trials and tribulations—[just] having somebody there as your rock and your stone,” he explained. “Being there for you through the darkest times.”

T.I. Pleads His Case On “What It’s Come To”

Following the repeated denials coming from T.I., Tiny, and their legal team, the rapper is now expressing himself on wax. T.I. and Tiny are facing accusations of drugging, sexual misconduct, rape, and sexual assault from two dozen women. They’ve faced ridicule in the court of public opinion and their former friend, Sabrina Peterson, claims that she even helped them pick up women for bedroom rendezvous, but the couple continues to vehemently deny the allegations.

On Thursday (May 20), T.I. surprised the world with a social media post that said he’d be releasing a new song in less than 24 hours, and it has arrived. “What It’s Come To” addresses the couple’s current controversy and T.I. makes it clear that both he and his wife have no intention of settling with any of the accusers. He suggests that he’s being targeted and states that if it comes down to pleading his case in court, he’s prepared to go the distance.

T.I. Goes Off On His Sexual Assault Accusers On His New Track, ‘What It’s Come To’

Earlier this week, the LAPD revealed that they are investigating claims made against T.I. and his wife Tiny which allege that the two drugged and sexually assaulted multiple individuals between 2005 and 2010. While some who are dealing with similar accusations would normally stay quiet and let their lawyer do the talking, T.I. has opted to deliver a piece of his own mind through his new track, “What It’s Come To.” The song takes aim at the sexual assault accusers and sees the rapper emphatically deny the claims against him.

“Go put yo face and reputation on it / These kind of claims deserve more than anonymous provocative conversation, don’t it?” T.I. raps. “Willing to face whatever consequences for his vision … while I’m up against some lyin’ ass b*tches/Damn, this is what it’s come to.”

Allegations against the rapper and Tiny were first brought forth by The New York Times back in February. In it, the publication revealed lawyer Tyrone A. Blackburn represented eleven women who said they were victims of the couple’s acts. Two additional women would eventually come forward with allegations against T.I. and Tiny, both of who were also represented by Blackburn. One of the victims claims T.I. drugged her drink and took her to a hotel where she was sexually assaulted despite refusing the couple’s advances.

Rapper Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla’s Death Ruled A Homicide: Report

A mystery out of Milwaukee involving a local rapper has turned into a murder investigation. A local news station reports that just two days ago (May 18) police came across a grisly scene when they discovered a body inside of a vehicle that was set ablaze. A preliminary investigation identified the victim as 42-year-old Lamonn C. Young, better known by his Rap moniker, Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla. The rapper lost his life in his hometown and it’s being reported by CBS 58 that a medical examiner has now ruled his death as a homicide. However, it’s unclear what caused his death at this time.

Earlier this year, Young released his latest album Hustle Hard and his family reportedly wants the world to remember him as a loving “father, husband, artist and entrepreneur.”

Activist Tracey Dent spoke with the outlet about Young’s death while denouncing gun violence. “A lot of talent is gone, it’s gone way too soon,” said Dent. “It’s a sense of urgency right now because people are scared, you know, they’re scared to come out of their house, because someone is getting shot or killed every single day.”

“We’re just trying to build unity across the county and everybody start working together, sharing resources and so we can start reducing the violence in our city,” Dent added.

The status of the homicide investigation is unknown, but it’s reported that there haven’t been any persons of interest or suspects publicly named. Kimora Lee Simmons Calls Russell Simmons’s Lawsuit “Harassment”

No one wins when the family feuds but the Simmons crew doesn’t care about Jay-Z lyrics. Russell Simmons and his ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons have long touted their blended family as being at peace as they’ve introduced new partners and children, and the most recent match-up is Kimora and Tim Leissner, who she married back in 2014. The couple welcomed a child together, adding onto the growing family that includes Kimora’s two daughters with Russell, her son with actor Djimon Hounsou, and a reported adopted son.

This week, we reported on the news that Russell was suing his ex-wife after he claims she illegally transferred his Celsius energy drink stock to her and her husband. The Def Jam icon claimed that Kimora was using the money to help pay off legal issues that have arisen for Leissner after he reportedly pleaded guilty in the $200 million fraud case. Kimora quickly clapped back with the help of her legal team.

TheJasmineBrand reports that they received a statement regarding the allegations and it reads as follows:

“Kimora and her children are shocked by the extortive harassment coming from her ex-husband, Russell Simmons, who has decided to sue her for shares and dividends of Celsius stock in which Kimora and Tim Leissner invested millions of dollars. This is an ill-advised attempt by Russell to use the legal system to access funds he is in no way entitled to, and which his own legal team confirms Russell did not pay for.

“Russell’s continued aggressive behavior not only blatantly distorts the facts, but is simply a desperate PR ploy ignoring the years of mental and emotional anguish, gas lighting, and ongoing harassment he has inflicted on Kimora.

“Russell will be held accountable for his serial abuse and we will confront his baseless claims that he is warranted Celsius stock dividends despite his self-admitted zero contribution. This extortion attempt is especially egregious given that Russell remains contractually in debt to Kimora for millions of dollars in unpaid business loans. Our team is actively working to put a firm end to his harassment, which continues despite Russell having fled the country – he will face his own reckoning in the US court.”

Russell Simmons hasn’t yet responded to this latest update from his ex-wife.
