Steve Nash Breaks Down How The Nets Plan On Shutting Down Giannis

Steve Nash was gifted the opportunity of a lifetime when he became the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. At the start of the season, there were lofty expectations due to the fact that this was Kevin Durant’s first season back in over a year. Alongside Kyrie Irving, these two were going to be a dynamic duo and Nash was in charge of making sure they built chemistry with the rest of the team. Early in the season, James Harden was traded to Brooklyn, which immediately made the Nets that much better.

Since then, Nash has seen a ton of success as a head coach, and it’s pretty easy to see why. Now, the team is heading to the second round of the playoffs where they will face off against the Milwaukee Bucks, who boast the talents of Giannis Antetokounmpo. The two-time MVP is a monster on the court, and as Nash told reporters recently, the team has a plan in place to stop him.

“I think the strategy we’ll probably start with is probably similar from a team-defending standpoint,” Nash said via Nets Daily. “It’s also the type of thing we have to work our way through as the series goes on and have a better feel for it, have more and more of an understanding collectively, and also be able to adjust and adapt within our schemes, not just change our schemes. The team concepts will be the same regardless.”

With the series starting on Saturday, fans are in for a whole lot of fun, and considering just how great each team is, the winner of the series could very well be the team that ends up winning it all.

Dwight Howard Gives An Update On Joel Embiid’s Injury

Joel Embiid had himself a phenomenal season with the Philadelphia 76ers and as a result, the team ended up first in the Eastern Conference standings. They played great together in the first round against the Washington Wizards, and eventually won in just five games. Unfortunately, Embiid ran into some injury issues throughout the series and now, he has been diagnosed with a small lateral miniscus tear. For now, it remains to be seen whether or not he will be able to return in time for the start of the team’s second round series against the Atlanta Hawks.

According to Dwight Howard via reporter Tom Moore, Embiid has actually been looking quite good in practice, and there is a chance he could be available in Game 1. Of course, Howard isn’t making such decisions, although he does get to see Embiid everyday while they train.

“(Embiid) looked good,” Howard said. “His movement looked good laterally. I think he should be ready to go, (but) we don’t want to rush him back. … He looked like his old self.” Head coach Doc Rivers stated that Embiid is making progress although they can’t make any real guarantees ahead of Game 1.

The first game of the series will go down on Sunday, which gives Embiid another day of rest before the second round officially begins. Stay tuned to HNHH for updates on Embiid’s condition.

Jay-Z Says Blue Ivy Wasn’t Impressed By Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction

Since the day she was born, Blue Ivy Carter had it etched in stone that she would be a baby diva — you can say it was her “destiny.” Corny music jokes aside, what we mean is that life must be pretty charmed when your parents are Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

You might assume that “baby Bey” would be pretty hard to impress, which Hov confirmed himself during a recent visit to HBO’s The Shop: Uninterrupted.

While visiting LeBron James and the crew for a little shop talk, Jay-Z was practically gushing over his adoration for Blue Ivy’s maturity. Describing how she influenced him to learn how to swim, the father of three said of his oldest child, “If she ever fell in the water and I couldn’t get her — I couldn’t even, like, fathom that thought. I got to learn how to swim. That’s it.” He went to explain how that instance was the beginning of their father/daughter relationship, and it also reminded him of just how much personality she has overall.

Blue’s true diva moment happened not too long ago though. Jay went on to add during his talk with The Shop, “I was taking Blue to school…I was like, ‘This ain’t no celebration!’ [Laughs] She walked away and I was like, ‘Yo! I can’t get a kiss? I’m in the Hall of Fame!'” Blue’s response? “Bye, dad,” according to papa Hov. Young savage, indeed!

Of course we say this all to be facetious and it’s more likely that Blue Ivy Carter is an ego-free nine-year-old that’s just trying to navigate through the world as a child of two of music’s most successful acts of all time. We pray for the kid!

Peep Jay-Z reminiscing on his moments with Blue below in the clip provided by The Shade Room:

Magic Johnson Offers Scathing Critique Of Dennis Schroder

Magic Johnson is one of the most legendary players in the history of the Los Angeles Lakers and he is definitely one of if not the best point guard of all time. With that being said, he certainly has the authority to speak on the point guards who play for the Lakers. Throughout the postseason, the Lakers seemed to struggle at the point, especially when Dennis Schroder was on the court. Schroder was supposed to be a huge addition this year, but turned out to be a bit of a bust.

Prior to Game 6, Schroder took the Lakers out of his IG bio, which raised some eyebrows. After the Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs, Johnson went on 570 AM radio in Los Angeles and roasted Schroder for his lack of effort and winning spirit. Needless to say, Magic doesn’t want to see him back in the purple and gold next season.

“I don’t think he’s a Laker. I don’t know if they’re gonna sign him back or not, but I don’t think he brings the winning mentality and attitude we need. To me, he failed in this series,” Johnson said.

Schroder is a free agent in the offseason and based on everything that has gone down, it seems like he probably won’t be back in Los Angeles next season. Even though Magic is no longer an executive with the team, his word holds a lot of weight, and we’re sure the Lakers front office is listening.

Kodak Black Is All About Going On Cute Dates In Video For “Don’t Leave Me”

Ever since coming home from prison, Kodak Black has been looking to reinvent himself artistically. Fans are always anticipating new Kodak tracks and with his latest project Haitian Boy Kodak, he gave his supporters eight new songs to listen to. The last song on the album is called “Don’t Leave Me” and one could make the argument that this is the most emotional track on the entire project. Throughout the song, he raps about his love life and his current partner who he wants to give the world to. This kind of emotional honesty is refreshing to hear from Kodak and it has now translated into a cute music video, which can be seen above.

As you can see, the music video is filled with lovely montages of Kodak going on nice dates with his girl. From a dinner in the park to an evening at Top Golf, Kodak seems to be living the life alongside his queen. The instrumental is filled with piano lines and lyrically, Kodak seems to be in love, although he knows things can go awry at any moment. Regardless, this is a new side of Kodak and it’s one that will surely be appreciated by those who want to see him grow as both an artist and as a person.

Juicy J Snaps On Marshmello’s New Single “Hitta”

In probably one of the most unexpected collaborations of the week, Marshmello, Eptic, and Juicy J have teamed up for a blazing EDM-rap crossover. Having previously lent beats to Hip-Hop acts like Wacotron and 2KBABY over the past handful of months, the DJ, producer, and Philadelphia native has now linked up with one of the most prolific and unstoppable rappers ever: Juicy J.

Titled “Hitta,” Marshmello’s new team-up with Eptic and Juicy J builds upon a sample of DJ Paul’s chorus from the classic Three 6 Mafia cut “One Hitta Quitta,” and the end result is a booming three-minute track that will undoubtedly make crowds go insane at music festivals later this year.

In addition to having one of his most famous tracks sampled, Juicy J also gets the honor of spitting a verse on “Hitta,” and the Taylor Gang artist comes through with a vengeance. Listen to Juicy J’s impressive verse on Marshmello’s “Hitta” below.

Quotable Lyrics

Pullin’ up and rollin’ up, smoked out in exotic trucks
Model chicks that like to suck with lots of spit like Daffy Duck
Halo on me, I’m too high, take two puffs and touch the sky
Weed strong, money long, got more cakes than Duncan Hines

Yo Gotti & DaBaby Are Surrounded By Twerking Models In Visual For “Drop”

Memphis juggernaut Yo Gotti has always had a knack for coming through with catchy songs that are going to make people want to twerk. Every summer, it feels like Yo Gotti has yet another club-friendly hit on his hands, and in 2021, he is keeping the streak alive thanks to his collaborative new track with DaBaby, “Drop.” The song dropped on Thursday and it has received quite a bit of praise as both Yo Gotti and DaBaby sound as focused as ever on it. Just a day after the song’s release, the two are back with a music video for the track, and it’s clear these two had a lot of fun filming it.

As you will immediately realize, the video is filled with various models who are all twerking near a pool. There are various close-ups of the dancers and there is no doubt that this video was meant to be provocative and fun. As for DaBaby and Yo Gotti, they are having the time of their lives while the dancers twerk around them. They can also be seen popping bottles of D’USSE Cognac and Ace of Spades, which certainly helps liven up the mood.

Overall, it’s an over-the-top video although considering the summer is just a few weeks away, you’ve got to love it.
