This song may not be brand new, but some fans have yet to hear it. Back in March, Benny The Butcher and Harry Fraud lit up the scene with the release of their joint project The Plugs I Met 2, and it quickly became an album that Hip Hop heads had on heavy rotation. Fraud’s production was praised as it paired perfectly with the New York rapper’s applauded lyrical prowess, and now they’re back with the official release of one of the album’s tracks, “Sink.”
For those that obtained a physical copy of The Plugs I Met 2, you’d know that “Sink” makes an appearance on the tracklist as an additional song. However, it was only recently added to DSPs, so all fans can enjoy the single on their favorite streaming service. “While it’s not ‘officially’ on the project, due to the fact that [the song] was so popular with fans who had heard it, we always intended for all of our fans to have an opportunity to hear it, and add to your library,” the pair of artists shared in a joint statement, according to 2DopeBoyz.

Two of NBA YoungBoy’s baby mamas have come together for what looks to be a relaxing vacation. Regardless of how their relationships with YoungBoy have unfolded, Yaya Mayweather and Jania Meshell are dedicated to the rapper. So much so that if they’re out at a function and a song by one of YoungBoy’s alleged foes happens to play over the speakers, the ladies have been captured either stopping themselves from dancing or yelling for the song to be changed.
It was just a little over two years ago that Jania gave birth to her son Kacey and back in January, Yaya welcomed Kentrell Jr. While other rappers’ baby mama are often at odds, these ladies look to be friends that can enjoy a little R&R while YoungBoy continues to fight his case.
Back in March, NBA YoungBoy was arrested by federal authorities in Los Angeles and has been hit with charges related to firearms possession. His attorneys have been working diligently so that the rapper can taste freedom sooner than later, and although he’s behind bars, YoungBoy has continued to release new music while keeping his fans updated.

Now that festivals are officially back, the biggest hip-hop event in Texas — where else would it be? — is expanding beyond the state’s borders come Fall 2021. JMBLYA Fest will now travel outside of its home in the Lone Star state, beginning with an initial date on Labor Day weekend near Fayetteville, Arkansas then move back to Texas for stops in Dallas and Austin, and finally begin a first-time run through hubs on both coasts in Boston, Maine and San Francisco, California with a final stop in Phoenix, Arizona.
Anchored by artists like Future, Gunna, and Lil Tecca, along with The Kid LaRoi and Flo Milli, the event has been one of the biggest and longest running hip-hop festivals in Texas since 2013. Festival organizers ScoreMore Shows are also behind Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston, and ScoreMore’s President & Founder Sascha Stone Guttfreund said a nationwide move is part of the event’s ethos.
“Our business has always been about providing something different,” he said in a press release. “JMBLYA going nationwide is the culmination of the idea of bringing an affordably priced festival experience to markets that don’t have something like it. We are known for curated events that pair big-name acts with future superstars. If you look back on our lineups, you’ll see that many of the openers we book later go on to become headliners. Save that lineup tee. See y’all soon.”

Ever since Saweetie and Quavo called it quits, the internet has been gossiping about the “My Type” rapper having a new beau. Saweetie has repeatedly been asked about her love life post-Quavo, and each time she’s insisted that she’s single and not ready to mingle. This fight may not be the most popular celebrity match-ups that we’ve seen this month, but Lamar Odom and Aaron Carter are ready to face off. In an unlikely pairing, the two stars have been displaying their skills for months as they’ve prepared to join one another in the ring. Odom is known as a Los Angeles Lakers icon who played alongside the best of the best, while Carter gained fame as a child star who also happens to be the little brother of one of the Backstreet Boys.
Just one week after Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul‘s exhibition match, Odom and Carter are slated to throw a few bows. Long before she was telling fans to “tap in” or she was rapping about her “type,” Saweetie was a high school sports star. She reportedly played several sports including volleyball, track and field, and football, but by the time college rolled around, she decided to switch things up and studied business. While she lavished in the attention that high school popularity brings, Saweetie revealed to Teen Vogue that she was nearly arrested as a teen and suggested that the incident, as well as her behaviors, could have derailed the direction of her life.
“Before I went to college, I almost went to jail because I got caught stealing,” Saweetie said of the incident that reportedly occurred when she was a sophomore. “At a young age, I just always liked the finer things — and I’m not even talking about name brands. I just like looking good.”
Instead of locking her up, officers decided to let her go and it caused Saweetie to reevaluate the decisions she was making. “In that moment, I was like, I’m not really about this life,” she recalled. “I get straight A’s, I’m a year-round athlete… I think the lesson was that [I had worked] too hard for everything to be thrown away.”

They fawn over them on social media, make huge purchases to show their gratitude, post throwback photos of younger days, and just for kicks, they make their moms the center of attention. Hip Hop fans have often received songs from artists dedicated to their mothers as they lyrically show love to the women who raised them.
On Monday (June 7), 2 Chainz shone the light on his mom during what looked to be a celebration for the rapper’s wife, Kesha Ward. In a video, a “Club Kesha” sign hangs in the background while music is blasting and 2 Chainz’s mother was filmed getting down to her son’s tunes.
“My mom will be 71 this year !!!” 2 Chainz penned in the caption of his video. “We talked today and she told me that she wants to live 20 more years just so she can she what I’m going to do next [praying hands emoji][blue heart emoji] that was the sweetest thing in the world to me #clubkesha.” Over on Kesha’s page, she shared several photos of the event, including a picture with her husband’s mama.

Abou “Bu” Thiam, said manager and who is also Akon’s brother, teased Kanye’s next album on Instagram. “WestDayEver. Album OTW.” he wrote under a post of a West’s first official release with Gap, with whom he partnered last summer for an upcoming collection.
It’s unknown if the title of West’s upcoming album is now titled West Day Ever, as the rapper was previously promoting a project under the title of Donda last summer. That effort was set to arrive on July 24, 2020, but the day came and went without any arrival. In March, after ten months of silence, frequent collaborator Cyhi The Prynce revealed that West had gotten back to work on the album around the end of 2020.
Following months of outrageous accusations of cannabilism, emotional abuse, sexual battery, and rape, it is reported that Armie Hammer is receiving professional help. Before becoming an actor, Hammer grew up as the wealthy great-grandson of an oil tycoon and the son of a successful businessman. He made a name for himself in Hollywood but at the turn of the year, rumors regarding his alleged involvement in cannibalism took over social media.
Soon, Hammer was accused of several incidents of sexual assault, and later, he was reportedly dropped by his publicist and his agent before being “forced to resign” from a movie starring Jennifer Lopez. On Tuesday (June 8), Vanity Fair reported that Hammer has now checked himself into a rehabilitation facility to address his addiction issues.
Hammer reportedly reached out to his estranged wife last month to ask her for help. He is allegedly seeking treatment at a facility outside of Orlando and has been there for approximately one week.
“Everyone looks at Armie thinking that he’s had some sort of privileged life—and that must mean there were no problems in his youth and everything was peachy keen,” a close friend of Hammer told Vanity Fair. “But that’s not necessarily the way things go. Just because you come from an upbringing where financial resources are plentiful doesn’t mean life isn’t without problems.”
“This is a clear sign that he is taking back control [of] his life and knows that this [is] a step towards his overall well-being.” Vanity Fair reports that they’ve spoken to various sources close to Hammer for the better part of four months and they have all told the publication that he struggles with alcoholism as well as substance and drug abuse.
Hammer has only addressed the allegations against him one time back in January after stepping away from the movie with Lopez. “I’m not responding to these bullsh*t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic,” he said.
