Trey Songz Responds Woman Apologizes For Leaking Video Of Him Sleeping

There’s hardly a month that passes where Trey Songz doesn’t end up making headlines. The singer nearly found himself in yet another controversial internet moment when a video of him sleeping hit the Internet. Now, it wasn’t a video of the singer simply nodding off captured by one of his homeboys. It was a video shared by a woman which led to immediate speculation that they might be more than friends.

Shortly after the video started making rounds, a woman named Dime Racks cleared the air and stated that she did not share the video with any malicious intent. In fact, she said that she really didn’t think that it would cause this much blowback.

“I want to publicly apologize to Trey. I never really meant for anything to, like, go to the extreme to The Shade Room, like, that’s runnin’ out,” she explained. “I never posted it to Facebook. Somebody took it to Facebook and that’s how it blew up and it got to The Shade Room. And I post things to my Snap all the time with different celebrities that’s never gotten to The Shade Room. So, I don’t know how the situation with Trey got there but I wanna apologize.

Trey has yet to respond to the apology, at least publicly but he did make a concerted effort to address the video with a little bit of help from Shaggy. The rapper shared a video to his story with “Wasn’t Me” playing in the background, right when Shaggy sings, “But she caught me on the counter (wasn’t me)/ Saw me bangin’ on the sofa (wasn’t me).”

Safaree Samuels Denies Lovechild Rumors As Erica Mena Responds To Divorce Requests: Report

She recently asked for “peace” during this time, as she’s facing both the arrival of her third child and divorce, but Erica Mena’s split from Safaree Samuels is receiving pop culture attention. The Love & Hip Hop couple shared the development of their romance for reality-television audiences on several shows, and fans even got a first-hand look at the pair’s emotional wedding ceremony. However, not even two years into their marriage, Safaree and Erica are calling it quits.

Not long after sharing with the world that they’re expecting their second child, Samuels and Mena announced their divorce. We previously reported that Mena allegedly wants primary custody of their children, while Samuels argued for joint custody.

It was also recently reported that Safaree wanted to be in the delivery room during Erica’s labor, but TMZ states that the pregnant mother and her doctor should be the people who make such a decision. Mena has taken to her social media accounts to share videos and images of herself in the hospital, and in court documents, she reportedly stated that the stress that Safaree has caused her was the reason why she had to be admitted.

In court documents, Mena is said to have accused her estranged husband of failing “to be involved in her care or to visit her at the hospital during her most recent stay, where she remained overnight for many days related to her pregnancy.” She reportedly accuses Safaree of making certain divorce requests “in hopes of obtaining ‘good publicity’ and painting [Erica] as the instigator, while in actuality, [Erica’s] the only parent ensuring the parties’ children’s safety and acting in their best interest.”

Additionally, Safaree faced accusations that the root cause of his divorce stemmed from allegations that he impregnated another woman. He took to his Instagram Story to deny the gossip. Check it out below.

Lil Dicky Said His Chris Brown Collaboration Let The R&B Star ‘Use His Talent For Good’

The name on everybody’s lips today is Lil Dicky (aka Dave Burd).

He’s back to tell everyone about why he personally hates concerts and earn comparisons to Larry David in a profile with GQ. Of course, Dicky has been a semi-joke-y rapper around for several years now, but the surprise success of his TV show Dave is really what spurred him to heights such as a massive profile in a fashion magazine like GQ.

Speaking to them about one of his “joke-y” songs from a few years ago, Dicky let the music world know why he felt collaborating with Chris Brown was a good thing to do. Their 2018 song “Freaky Friday” featured the two rappers switching places for the day and was deemed problematic for any number of reasons, facing serious backlash at the time, but also became a No. 1 hit. Dicky said he thinks letting Brown “use his talents for good” is the right choice with Brown.

“With Chris Brown, we can do one of two things,” Dicky explained. “We can never hear from him again and say ‘I won’t accept any Chris Brown whatsoever,’ or I feel like we can allow him to use his talent for good. When I see people react to the song, I really think that it makes people laugh and it makes people happy. I don’t think it’s the type of thing that really is making the world a worse place, on a micro-specific, talking-about-the-song level.”

He later added: “A song like ‘Freaky Friday,’ let’s be honest about it — it’s a f*cking global smash hit. It sounds like a hit. If you’re not even listening to the lyrics, it literally has the palette of a hit.”

And finally clarified that when he offends people, it really does hurt him “I’m aware of how insensitive my art can be, but I’m a very sensitive person and I hate offending people,” he said. “If I see anybody that’s offended by something I’m doing, it really hurts my heart, truly. I’m very confident that if I had 10 hours to spend with somebody, that they would like me. There have been very few instances in my life where someone has known me and disliked me. Yet a ton of people, understandably so, would dislike me as an artist or me as a comedian.”

And that last part is probably why the extended narrative of Dave has changed the perception of Dicky in culture quite a bit. Check out the full profile here to continue getting to know him.

Polo G Recalls Fallen Friends In The Somber ‘Painting Pictures’ Video

Polo G’s latest video from his new album Hall Of Fame, “Painting Pictures,” is a prime example of the evocative appeal of the young Chicago rapper’s music. The video, which is shot in his hometown, employs a simple concept to highlight the tales of brotherhood that run through the somber track, on which he reminisces about fallen friends and compares his early days of struggle to his current fame and ability to give back.

“Painting Pictures” is the opening track from Polo’s third album Hall Of Fame, which is currently on track to become his first No. 1 album. Before the project’s release, his song “Rapstar” became his first single to top the Hot 100 chart, debuting there in its first week then returning for a second straight week on the next edition of the chart. Other singles from the album include “Gang Gang” featuring Lil Wayne and “No Return” with The Kid Laroi and Lil Durk.

Unfortunately, Polo’s recent success was unable to immunize him from the effects of biased policing. Polo was arrested over the weekend after his release party in Miami for battery against a police officer and criminal mischief. He later tweeted that he believed the officers had been following him since his arrival in Miami, writing, “They playin foul in Miami & dat shit been like that for a minute.”

Kyrie Irving To Miss Game 5 Vs. Bucks With Right Ankle Sprain

Despite having a 2-0 series lead on the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the playoffs, the Brooklyn Nets find themselves tied with the Wisconsin-based team after losing two games in a row on the road. While Game 3 was fairly close, Game 4 was more of a blowout due to Kyrie Irving’s unfortunate injury. After landing awkwardly on the court, Kyrie rolled his right ankle and was immediately forced to come out of the game.

Since last night, Kyrie has received x-rays on his ankle which came back negative. Fans were hoping this was good news for Game 5 which goes down on Tuesday, however, the prayers of Nets supporters were not answered. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Irving has been ruled out for Game 5 and his status for Game 6 remains unknown.

This is especially bad news when you consider how James Harden is also out with an injury. If Harden isn’t cleared for Game 5, then Kevin Durant will have to take on all of the work himself, which is certainly going to be a tough task. While he might have players like Blake Griffin on his side, the Nets are still going to be at a huge disadvantage.

Stay tuned for more updates on Kyrie’s condition as we will be sure to bring them to you.

Saweetie Names Her Favorite J. Cole And Nicki Minaj Songs

Saweetie is still aiming for a summertime release for her long-awaited debut album, Pretty B*tch Music, and continued her seemingly everlasting media tour with a cover story for Complex and an appearance on the outlet’s interview show GOAT Talk. In the latter, she named her favorite culinary concoctions (for which she’s garnered almost as much attention as her music), as well as her favorite songs from her prime influences, J. Cole and Nicki Minaj.

Long before she’d released her breakout single “ICY GRL” and become a household name, Saweetie rapped for J. Cole outside one of his shows, receiving a bit of encouragement from the older rapper. When asked which of his songs is his greatest of all time, Saweetie chose “Cost Me A Lot” from Cole’s 2010 mixtape Friday Night Lights. In the interview for the cover story, she’s asked whether she’d want to collaborate with her underground hero and replies in the affirmative… with one caveat. “On production, yes,” she says.

When it comes to her favorite Nicki Minaj song, Saweetie can’t settle on just one. “I feel like we have to go into two different libraries,” she argues. “There’s mixtape Nicki and mainstream Nicki… For mixtape Nicki, ‘Itty Bitty Piggy‘ [from 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty] is the obvious choice, but a song I just loved from the depths of my soul was [Lil Wayne-featuring 2008 Sucka Free cut] ‘Higher Than A Kite.’” Saweetie picks “I Wanna Be With You” from DJ Khaled’s 2013 album Suffering From Success because of the velocity Nicki’s flow reaches.

Watch Saweetie reveal her “GOATs” in the latest episode of GOAT Talk above.

Saweetie is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

ASAP Rocky Says Trump’s Efforts During His Swedish Assault Case ‘Made It A Little Worse’

In ASAP Rocky’s documentary Stockholm Syndrome, the Harlem rapper reportedly addresses the efforts of Donald Trump to get him out of Swedish prison in a preview shared by Rolling Stone, saying that Trump’s efforts had the opposite effect of helping.

According to Rolling Stone‘s preview of the documentary, which premiered during the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend, Rocky talks about finding out about his unexpected supporter, “I’m sleeping in my halfway dream. I heard my name. I kind of opened my eyes and closed my eyes again and then they said my name again. And I opened my eyes and I’m like, ‘Yo, what the f*ck?’” At the time, Trump inserted himself in what was later revealed to be a PR bid to clean up his image among Black voters, cajoling the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven to intervene on Rocky’s behalf after the rapper was arrested for a fight on the streets of Stockholm and charged with assault.

“I said ‘Aw shit,” Rocky jokes. “Look like I might do a bid.”

Elaborating on his thoughts about the situation, Rocky explains, “I kinda was scared that Trump was going to f*ck it up. But then on the other hand, I’m just like, ‘That’s what’s up, man.’ You want the most support you could and it’s like, ‘Oh, the president supports you.’ That felt good. Cause for the most part, I don’t think he ever knows what’s going on in the urban communities … I was thankful for that, I can’t lie. I was also scared that it would jeopardize me being in [jail] longer.”

Rolling Stone reports that toward the end of the film, Rocky addresses the Trump administration’s insistence that he never “properly” thanked the man for his efforts. ““It was a chess move and they tried to strong-arm a lot,” he says. “In reality, I had no problem saying thank you to the man, especially if he helped me. That’s the narrative they pushin’: That he got me out. And he didn’t free me. If anything, he made it a little worse.“

Devin Booker Is Looking For The Infamous “Suns In 4” Fan

Just a few nights ago on Friday, the Phoenix Suns defeated the Denver Nuggets in a game that gave them a 3-0 series lead in the second round of the playoffs. While the game itself wasn’t anything special, it immediately went viral thanks to a fight between one Suns fan and two Nuggets fans. The Suns fan ended up winning the 2 V 1 and at the end of the viral clip, he shouted “Suns in 4” at the Nuggets fans.

This slogan became a rallying cry for the Suns on Sunday night as they looked to officially complete the sweep of the Nuggets. In the end, the Suns did just that as they propelled themselves to the Western Conference Finals, where they will play either the Los Angeles Clippers or the Utah Jazz. Now, with the Conference Finals just days away, Booker is putting out a call for the “Suns in 4” fan, as he wants the mans information.

It remains to be seen what Booker plans on doing with this information although perhaps he is either trying to get the man some tickets or even some merch. After all, this fan is now the unofficial mascot of the entire team, and when it comes to the city of Phoenix, this man is a certified legend.

If the Suns bring him out for a few games, perhaps he will be a good luck charm that can propel them to the NBA Finals.
