Vanessa Bryant Posts Court Docs & Names Of Deputies Who Took & Shared Crash Photos

It’s no holds barred for Vanessa Bryant who decided to give a few sheriffs a little publicity. We previously reported on Vanessa scoring a victory in court against the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department after a judge ruled in her favor, stating that the department couldn’t keep secret the names of certain officers involved in a scandal. Back in January 2020 when Kobe Bryant, 13-year-old Gianna Bryant, and seven of their friends tragically died in a helicopter crash in Southern California, several officers reportedly took photos of the gruesome site, including pictures of remains, and reportedly showed them to others.

A judge recently stated that the sheriff’s department couldn’t keep the names of the officers under wraps, even though the department reportedly argued that the publicity itself could be damaging. On Wednesday (March 17), Vanessa set aside some time to share screenshots of court documents that listed the names of the officers involved.

Both the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department and the L.A. County Fire Department are shown as plaintiffs along with Joey Cruz, Rafael Mejia, Michael Russell, and Raul Versales. The document states: “Deputies who responded to the crash scene used personal cell phones to take and share gratuitous photos of the dead children, parents, and coaches.” It adds that one deputy took anywhere from 25 to 100 photos on his personal phone, citing that none of the pictures were saved with investigatory intent.

It further alleges that deputies began sending the photos to one another via AirDrop and soon, people outside of the department began to receive them, as well. The paperwork also details how each named deputy was involved in the scandal and how they gossiped about and-or shared the pictures with family, friends, and colleagues. So many deputies and officers reportedly saw the photos that a detective couldn’t even tell investigators who sent him the pictures.

You can read through Vanessa Bryant’s posts below in the order that she shared them to receive the official story in full.

Soulja Boy Laughed Off Drake’s Recent Comments About Bow Wow’s Influence

Just a little over two years ago, Soulja Boy had his infamous “Drake??” moment on The Breakfast Club, where the “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” rapper claimed he helped influence Drake’s early success. Fast forward to the present and it’s clear that his sentiments have not changed.

Souja recently took to Twitter to share his displeasures with Drake’s recent comments about Bow Wow’s influence on him, which he had posted on Instagram. “I had to link with Wizzle,” Drake said. “Everybody wants to have drinks and everybody wants to celebrate and turn up and, you know, I just had to see Wizzle. I had to see Wizzle in person. If it wasn’t for you, there wouldn’t be no me. That’s why I’mma rock with y’all forever.”

But Souja had said he was lying. “That n**** drake is hilarious. Dude stole my whole bar then thanked bow wow,” he said. Drake showed love to Bow Wow after the three songs on his EP Scary Hours 2 debuted within the top three positions of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. As a result of the feat, he held a party to commemorate the accomplishment, which Bow Wow attended.

Despite all this, it’s likely the two rappers will stay on good terms. After his 2019 The Breakfast Club appearance, Soulja shared an Instagram direct message conversation between him and Drake, in which the Toronto rapper wrote, “You know it’s always been love all jokes aside.”

Cardi B & Rah Ali Reignite Feud Over Rapper Dissing Kulture: Report

The animosity between Cardi B and Rah Ali dates back years—all the way to the infamous 2018 New York Fashion Week shoe-flinging drama that involved Nicki Minaj. Following the incident, the pair traded insults and Nicki even took to Queen Radio to give details on the fight, claiming that her good friend Rah punched Cardi repeatedly. After engaging in a highly-publicized online spat, the arguing dissipated and everyone involved left the chaos behind and went about their lives. However, Rah stirred the pot when she posted a diss track to her It’s Onsite account from an artist who took aim at Cardi and included a line about her young daughter, Kulture.

It didn’t take long for Cardi to catch wind of the post and she called out Rah Ali. “B*tches post me on they sh*t everyday and I haven’t said a word and that’s what bothers them soo they try to play wit the person I don’t play about and that’s my child,” wrote Cardi. “Yet, victimize themselves when some1 says they beating the baby out of them after months of her harassing a b*tch.” The “baby” mention is about Rah Ali’s previous argument with Ari Fletcher.

The rapper’s fans came forward to call Rah Ali “obsessed,” causing Cardi to continue her rant. “She’s disgusting .Blocking and deleting people telling her she’s wrong for posting something mentioning my child …but she only try me & Ari  for clout but on my life imma handle her in person,” Cardi added. “Say wat you want but you not going 2 try me wit my kid.” The rapper also accused Ali of “gaslighting” her in order to get a response.

Rah didn’t hesitate to clap back.. “Cardi, shut yo dumb non English speaking ass up,” Ali replied. “I’m tired of trying to sound out your sentences. If you have a problem, take it up with the person wwho wrote the diss track not me because my media company @Its_Onsite posted it.” She added, “I didn’t mention your child nor would I ever. The person who wrote the diss track did. You are a BOZO! and you’re not going to do SH*T. Why don’t you pick up a pen and write back? That’s not an option huh?”

Ali returned to once again insult the way Cardi speaks and added that she’s not afraid of the rapper’s sister, Hennessy Carolina, either. It seems that when Hennessy heard the diss, she promised to resolve this issue in-person. Check out the exchange and reactions from fans below.

Kobe Bryant’s Family Look To Trademark “Mamba” & “Mambacita” For Apparel: Report

There may be new official apparel coming from Kobe Bryant’s camp. The late sports icon tragically lost his life in a helicopter accident alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven of their friends just over a year ago, and the Bryants’ loved ones have been working diligently to preserve their legacies. Widow Vanessa Bryant recently scored a victory in court against the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department after a judge ruled that the authorities could not shield the names of officers who reportedly passed around photos of the helicopter site. A report now states that the Bryant family has taken legal action once again, this time as it pertains to trademarking Kobe’s signature labels.

According to TMZ, on March 10, the attorney for Kobe Bryant LLC filed paperwork to trademark “Mamba and Mambacita,” and the outlet states it was done “with the intention of using it for clothing and shoes” as well as workout attire. It isn’t specified that the Bryants are looking to use the labels for an apparel brand and it’s suggested that they just may want to lock things down legally to keep others from profiting from the family’s devastating losses.

The Mamba brand is a staple for Kobe Bryant and Co., so it’s not surprising that the family would want to keep those related brands close to the chest. There have been plenty of companies who have turned a profit following Kobe and Gianna’s deaths by selling “Mamba” items sporting purple and gold Los Angeles Lakers colors. Meanwhile, sneakerheads are ready for new Mamba kicks.

Kanye West’s Yeezy And Gap’s Deal Is Reportedly Worth Nearly $1 Billion

Back in June 2020, Kanye West announced that his brand Yeezy landed a deal with Gap. While he didn’t share too many details about the joint venture, some specifics about the partnership were revealed by The New York Times. According to “a person familiar with the negotiations, who was not authorized to speak publicly,” the deal holds a term of ten years, with the option to renew after five. Almost nine months later, Yeezy and Gap’s partnership seems to be a successful endeavor.

Bloomberg reports that the collaboration between the two brands, which is set to be available in stores later this year, could be valued as high as $970 million. The publication also reported that Yeezy itself is valued between $3.2 billion to $4.7 billion, thanks to estimates from UBS Group. West also has $122 million in cash and stock, $110 million from his music catalog, and $1.7 billion in other assets, including Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS brand. If the reported numbers are correct, it would bump West’s net worth to somewhere between the range of $5.1 billion and $6.6 billion — a sharp increase from the $1.3 billion that Forbes reported last year.

In other news, last week collaborator Cyhi The Prynce said that West got back to work on his upcoming album Donda, which was originally set to arrive last summer.
