Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Delayed Until November As Lawyers Work On Public Opinion Poll

The teen accused of the double murder at a Kenosha, Wisconsin protest won’t return to court until this November. On August 25, 2020, Kenosha residents took to the streets to peacefully protest against the police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake. A 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse crossed state lines with an armed militia and patrolled the streets with a firearm. It has been reported that Rittenhouse was protecting businesses from potential looters as he walked the streets with his AR-15, and when he was approached by bystanders, he reportedly opened fire, killing 26-year-old Anthony Huber and 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum. Another victim, 26-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz, was injured by survived.

The now-18-year-old Rittenhouse has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him including first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree reckless homicide. He’s been released on bail and has been back at home with his loved ones, often photographed out at bars and lounges with his parents and friends, some rumored to be Proud Boys. He recently angered the public by wearing a “Free As F*ck” shirt.

According to NPR, today (March 10), a Wisconsin judge officially delayed Rittenhouse’s trial. His attorneys reportedly stated that they need more time to work on a “public opinion poll ‘to get a feel for whether Rittenhouse can expect to get a fair trial in the county, or if there might be a reason to seek a change of venue or a jury pool from another county.'”

Following the Kenosha shooting, then-President Donald Trump spoke about Rittenhouse and stated that the teen was acting in self-defense against a violent attack.

Post Malone Is Giving Fans A Chance To Play Beer Pong With Him Through A New NFT Experience

Over the past month or so, NFTs — aka, non-fungible tokens — have been all the rave across the art and tech worlds. Grimes and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey are just some of the big names that have taken it up, and it looks like Post Malone will join them. The Hollywood’s Bleeding singer is teaming up with cryptocurrency group, Fyooz, to launch a new NFT experience that will allow select fans to compete with him in a game of beer pong.

The announcement is part of a larger experience from Fyooz that aims to allow token holders to get up close and personal with their favorite celebrities. The experience will allow for a direct and personal interaction that can be “one-off, multiple interactions, or indeed a ticket for ongoing events with the artists,” according to a press release. The beer pong with Post Malone is their maiden effort.

In case you’re new to the whole NFT thing, it’s essentially a one-of-a-kind digital collectible that’s created using blockchain technology. Jack Dorsey recently minted an NFT of the first tweet ever sent on Twitter. According to CNN, the CEO of Bridge Oracle, Sina Estavi, offered $2.5 million for said tweet. Elsewhere, Grimes made $6 million by selling her art collection WarNymph Collection Vol 1 as an NFT. Each digital art piece was accompanied by exclusive audio that could only be obtained by purchasing an NFT.

Timbaland Catches New Heat Over Old Interview Where He Says He Love Aaliyah

It’s his birthday so millions of Timbaland fans around the globe are listening to some of their favorite hits that have blessed the music industry. The artist-megaproducer has been topping the charts and taking over airwaves for decades as his talents have blurred genre lines, but Timbaland didn’t become a trending topic on social media today just because he’s survived another trip around the sun. His fans have instead revisited his previous controversial statements said about his collaborator, late singer Aaliyah.

It was way back in 2011 when Timbaland sat down with E!’s True Hollywood Story where he detailed his life and career. At one point, he reportedly spoke about his time working with Aaliyah as they joined together on hits including “We Need a Resolution,” “One in a Million,” “Are You That Somebody,” and “Try Again.” In the interview, Timbaland admitted that he fell in love with a 16-year-old Aaliyah when he was in his 20s. When she was 15, she married R. Kelly.

“When I first met Aaliyah—it’s time for the world to hear this, I’m gonna give a little secret. I was in love with her,” the producer said at the time. “I said, But I’m not—she’s just a baby, I’m old. I said to myself, ‘I’m just gonna be her brother.’ Oh man, I was fightin’, I was fightin’ a lot. A big war…but I loved Aaliyah.”

He also admitted that he knew his wife, Monique, was the one because she resembled the late star. “When I first met my wife, I knew I was going to marry her because she looked like Aaliyah.” The two tied the knot in 2008. Although this is news that has been shared repeatedly over the years, some people are just now finding out about this information and they’ve taken to social media to discuss it, especially in today’s culture. These Timbaland quotes are typically revisited every few years, so check out a few reactions below.

Quando Rondo Says King Von “Got [Himself] In That Situation”

The death of King Von was among the many tragedies that struck 2020. In November, the rapper was shot after an altercation with Quando Rondo’s crew that went left. Rondo didn’t fire the gun that killed Von but his affiliate Lul Tim is being accused of the crime. Initial reports claim that Rondo “feels extremely bad” about the event, but you wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell that by his social media activity and songs like “End Of Story.”

As Rondo continues to seemingly egg on the situation, it doesn’t seem like there’s any actual remorse for what went down. Earlier today, a fan commented under his post asking him to donate to Von’s family and be a “good man.” “How about you donate to Von family no more of the streets be a good man the situation happened already you can make it right if YOU want to god forgives but that mans kids will never,” @green_frog_guy commented. It’s unclear why this particular account prompted Quando to respond but he did, claiming that he was unaware of any friction he had with Von.

“Von got his self in that situation I didn’t even no cuz had pressure with me,” he wrote with a heartbreak emoji and a 100 emoji.

CyHi The Prynce Explains Kanye West’s “Slavery” Comments

Kanye West might remain one of the most influential people in the world but his likeability rating has taken a blow. Debuting his blonde hair next to Donald Trump at the Trump Towers was a red flag but it was his appearance at TMZ in 2018 that made many of his fans and peers denounce him. He claimed, “slavery was a choice.” It didn’t necessarily derail his career and he went on to release five albums as part of the Wyoming sessions but even after offering an apology of sorts, it became stained on his career.

During a recent interview with Vlad TV, CyHi The Prynce attempted to add context to Kanye’s claims, after recently explaining why ‘Ye aligned himself with Trump. “I’ll say this, nobody’s taking my mom or dad,” CyHi explained. “And I’m just gonna be Kumbaya. That’s a thing about ‘Ye. He looks at his people like kings, warriors. Great men. Men of Honor,” he continued. “He can’t understand how Lebron, 6’9″, 270lbs, let a European that just got off the Black Plague, wiped out 75% of Europe, can come colonize. They don’t even have enough soldiers to you know have a real war with us. He can’t understand how those people were taken by just these small group of people on a boat.”

CyHi added that Kanye West looked at the situation deeper than what has been taught in the history books, citing Mansa Musa of the Mali empire. “We have to look at the earth and humanity in its entirety before we can ever say who is right and who’s wrong.”

Kevin Gates Sports Outlandish Footwear In Photo With Fan

Kevin Gates is one of the most consistent figures in Southern Hip-Hop. Six years following his hit singles like “Really Really” and “2 Phones,” the Baton Rouge rapper has still been keeping a firm grip on his musical output and pleasing fans with every release. Just last week, the Only The Generals Part II secured the number two position on YouTube’s Top US Artists Chart, right below fellow Louisiana artist NBA YoungBoy. Apart from his music, however, Kevin Gates is also known for his unique sense of style, and his latest fit is definitely turning heads.

In the photo posted by DJ Akademiks, Kevin Gates is spotted at Saks Fifth Ave with a fan, but his choice of footwear quickly steals the show. The pair of shoes would put Kanye West’s futuristic sneakers to shame, as the peculiar leather shoes tightly hug Gates’ feet and give him an alien aesthetic by cutting between his first and second toes.

Naturally, social media reacted to Kevin Gates’ eccentric shoes with an onslaught of roasts. Under Akademiks post alone, one user wrote, “Let’s not normalize wearing those” while another joked, “He got them master splinter 3000.” Of course, fans also took to Twitter to get their jokes off, with one saying “Kevin Gates is a menace to society for this.”

Kevin Gates has a history of going off on fans for mocking his appearance, so tread lightly with any Kevin Gates jokes let loose on social media.
