Ty Dolla Sign And 070 Shake Join Swedish House Mafia’s Moody ‘Lifetime’ Performance On ‘The Tonight Show’

Just hours after debuting their new single “Lifetime,” Swedish House Mafia appeared on The Tonight Show to deliver a moody performance of the new track with Ty Dolla Sign and 070 Shake, as well as their prior single “It Gets Better.”

All of the performers appear in silhouette in a darkened room. During the Swedish House Mafia parts, each of the three members appears in one of three orange-tinged “portholes” playing their respective instruments. During Ty and Shake’s appearances, the two R&B futurists are tripled to appear in all three of the circles of light.

“It Gets Better” and “Lifetime” are the lead and second single from Swedish House Mafia’s upcoming debut album Paradise Again, respectively, while Paradise Again is the Stockholm trio’s first full-length project since the 2012 compilation Until Now.

070 Shake, who the band said they would put “on every single record we did” if they could, made her splashy debut last year with Modus Vivendi after writing for Kanye West on his GOOD Music albums in 2018. Meanwhile, Ty Dolla Sign is also closing in on a year removed from his own 2020 album, Featuring Ty Dolla Sign.

Skip Bayless Finally Gives Giannis Antetokounmpo Some Credit

Skip Bayless is one of the biggest haters in sports media and over the years, he has chosen certain superstars as his targets. For years, his main foe was none other than LeBron James and even to this day, Bayless struggles to find good things to say about James. These days, however, Bayless has mostly focused on Giannis Antetokounmpo who is one game away from winning his first-ever NBA Championship.

Bayless has been unimpressed by Giannis and isn’t sold on the Greek Freak as a superstar in the NBA. At times, Bayless’ criticisms of Giannis have been overly harsh and non-sensical, however, Skip finally changed his tone today as he hit Giannis with some compliments.

“Giannis is playing harder more consistently than anybody I’ve ever seen. And I’m gonna give it up to him. This series boils down to Giannis consistently, routinely, outplaying Deandre Ayton,” Bayless said before adding “The respect I’ve gained for Giannis in this Finals run is that I’ve never, ever seen a player get more hustle bunnies, just outwork everybody else on the floor for the basketball.”

Antetokounmpo has been a beast on the court in the Finals and in Game 4, he showed his athleticism with a huge block on DeAndre Ayton which ultimately helped secure the win for the Bucks. Meanwhile, he had the game-winning alley-oop in Game 5, which now has his team one win away from basketball supremacy.

If the Bucks pull off this title, Giannis’ critics will surely be at a loss for words.

Texas Passes Bill That Drops Requirement To Teach That KKK Is “Morally Wrong”

Texas, a notoriously Republican state, recently passed Senate Bill 3, to get rid of a certain educational requirements for students when it comes to teaching the “history of white supremacy, including but not limited to the institution of slavery, the eugenics movement, and the Ku Klux Klan, and the ways in which it is morally wrong.” Briefly put — Texas will not require teachers to instil information about KKK “morally wrong,”

Not only did the bill seemingly refuse to denounce white supremacy, the Texas Senate also decided to drop the history and contributions of notable women and people of color from their public school curriculums as well.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s I Had A Dream speech and his part in the Civil Rights Movement is just one of the two dozen requirements that were dropped from Texas public schools. Other specifications to be dropped from the curriculum include the history of Susan B. Anthony and her contributions to the Women’s Suffragist Movement, as well as the works of Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers, and Native American history.

Senate Bill 3 also forces teachers into a precarious position when they are educating. According to a Dallas Morning News report, teachers are not necessarily “compelled” to discuss any present-day news events or “controversial issue[s] of public policy or social affairs,” however if they do discuss issues of this sort, they are not allowed “deference to any one perspective.”

In response to this, Democratic state Senator Judith Zaffirini posited:

“How could a teacher possibly discuss slavery, the Holocaust or the mass shootings at the Walmart in El Paso or at the Sutherland Springs Church in my district without giving deference to any one perspective?”

Although Senate Bill 3 does not mention critical race theory, it’s concluded that Texas is making it their mission to ban any teachings related to the topic.

Pooh Shiesty Goes Viral With Aloof Energy During Rubi Rose & Flo Milli XXL Interview

Right after XXL shared Pooh Shiesty, Rubi Rose, Flo Milli, and 42 Dugg’s cypher for the 2021 Freshman list, the publication dropped their roundtable interview, which is definitely pretty awkward at times. During the conversation, Rose, Milli, Shiesty, and Dugg sat in a circle and answered what their experience was like participating in the annual hip-hop tradition.

“The cypher was a little scary,” honestly said Rubi Rose. “Everything else was a breeze. It was fun and it was cool to meet my fellow freshmen.”

When it came time for Pooh Shiesty to answer the question, he looked completely disinterested, as though he would have rathered to be anywhere else in the world. “They cool, fosho,” he said about his fellow Freshmen. “History in the making.”

People have been making fun of Pooh’s demeanor during this interview, acting aloof and showing clear signs of boredom. Sitting down with a blank expression on his face, it’s possible that Pooh was thinking that this interview should have been an email, and not an in-person thing.

This year’s XXL Freshman class has been criticized from all corners. Whether people are laughing at Pooh’s interview, Coi Leray’s cypher freestyle, or iann dior’s no-show for the freestyle portion, the world has definitely had something to say about this list. Watch the viral video below.

LeBron James Reveals The Worst Injury Of His Career

LeBron James is easily a top 3 NBA player of all time and despite being 36 years old, it still looks like LeBron has a few solid years of basketball ahead of him. Heading into next season, the Los Angeles Lakers promise to be a healthy roster and if they can acquire some new pieces, there is no doubt that they will be a juggernaut in the Western Conference. Not to mention, LeBron is coming off of his performance in Space Jam, and fans will expect him to play like a man who is getting superstar movie roles.

To promote Space JamLeBron recently went on the “Smartless” podcast with Jason Bateman and Will Arnett. During that interview, LeBron was asked about the worst injury of his career and whether or not there was an injury that stood out to him. LeBron ultimately harkened back to the 2018-19 season, when his groin became a problem for not only him, but the Lakers as a whole.

“I tore my groin two years ago playing on Christmas Day in Golden State … I could not keep playing … it was over with,” LeBron explained. For those who might remember, LeBron was out for a couple of months with this injury and during that time, the Lakers were unable to hold their position in the Western Conference. Despite coming back late in the season, the Lakers were unable to make the postseason and it led to a huge overhaul as players like Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart were all traded to New Orleans for Anthony Davis.

In the end, the injury worked out for LeBron and the Lakers, however, it’s still a season that James would probably like to forget about for the rest of his career.

Homeboy Sandman & Aesop Rock Link For “Lice Team, Baby”

Homeboy Sandman and Aesop Rock are two lyricists who really make you think. It’s why they make for such a compelling duo whenever they connect on wax, as they have for the brand new duet “Lice Team, Baby.”

Being that the title is a real head-scratcher, no pun intended, it’s important to note that the single’s cover art sheds some light on what we’re dealing with. “Lice was actually the first-ever inter-racial Siamese twins ever,” it explains, a screencap from Aes and Sandman’s iMessage chat. “Scientists separated them at birth, but they were drawn to each other later in life.”

The song itself is an absolute barn-burner, a raw instrumental over which the elite lyricists put on an absolute clinic. By now, if you came here you likely know what both Homeboy Sandman and Aesop Rock are all about, and rest assured that they both deliver with impressive dexterity. Check out “Lice Team, Baby,” and look for Sandman to strike again on his upcoming Anjelitu EP, as well as his final studio album Don’t Feed The Monster.
