“Some films touch people… and this affects those in Minamata and people who experience similar things,” Depp said in a new interview witht he Sunday Times. “And for anything… for Hollywood’s boycott of, erm, me? MGM issued a statement in July, explaining that the release date for the film is still unconfirmed: “Minamata continues to be among future [American International Pictures] releases and at this time, the film’s U.S. release date is TBA.”

Minamata follows a photojournalist who reports on the damage industrial pollution has had on the people of Minamata, in Japan.

“We looked these people in the eyeballs and promised we would not be exploitative,” he said of the people of the city. “That the film would be respectful. I believe that we’ve kept our end of the bargain, but those who came in later should also maintain theirs.”

Erykah Badu Apologizes For Being The ‘Terrible Guest’ At Barack Obama’s 60th Birthday Party

Earlier this month, Barack Obama celebrated his 60th birthday with a star-studded celebration at Martha’s Vineyard. The party made headlines days before it began after the former president and his team were forced to cut back on the number of invitees due to COVID-19 concerns. Some, like the hosts on Fox & Friends, were quite happy that Obama had to scale back his party, while others let Curb Your Enthusiam jokes fly after Larry David was uninvited from the event.

The bash made headlines again after Erykah Badu posted, and quickly deleted, a video from the event to her social media page. The clip showed attendees without masks, which caused many to criticize the former President and First Lady for not practicing safer measures for the party — despite the presence of a medical professional who was enlisted to make sure all CDC, state, and local pandemic protocols were followed, according to People.

Due to all the commotion that came as a result of her video, Badu hopped on Twitter to apologize for her actions. “Mr. And Mrs. Obama , Please forgive me 4 being the ‘terrible guest’ at such a sacred event for your family,” she wrote. “I was so inconsiderate, Thank you for all your love. What an example of ‘how NOT ‘ to be …… erica.” When someone asked if the Obamas forced her to remove the video and apologize publicly, she replied, “Naw sis. It’s just right thing.”

Cardi B Defends Lizzo After She Broke Down On Instagram Live

Cardi B has come to the defense of Lizzo after the “Good As Hell” singer was seen breaking down during an Instagram Live session while reading negative comments. Cardi described the haters as “nerds looking at the popular table” on Twitter, Sunday.

“When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive,” Cardi explained. “When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you. Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.”

The hateful comments were directed at Lizzo in her response to her new song with Cardi, “Rumors.” Lizzo says users’ comments included fat-shaming, racism, and accusations of catering to white audiences.

“For the most part, it doesn’t hurt my feelings. I don’t care,” she said during the live stream. “I just think when I’m working this hard, my tolerance gets lower, my patience is lower, I’m more sensitive and it gets to me.”

After the clip began circulating online, Lizzo tweeted about being in a world “that don’t love u back.”

“Loving yourself in a world that don’t love u back takes an incredible amount of self awareness & a bullshit detector that can see through ass backwards societal standards… if u managed to love yourself today I’m proud of u,” she tweeted, Sunday. “If u haven’t, I’m still proud of u. This shits hard.”

Lizzo Shares Her Reaction To Cardi B Asking To Eat Her WAP

This past Friday, Lizzo returned to the forefront of the music industry with her first new song in two years: the Cardi B-assisted single “Rumors.”

While promoting her latest release during an interview with The Breakfast Club, Lizzo went into deep detail discussing the new song as well, the Greek mythology-inspired visuals, and what it was like working with Cardi B. Apparently, it was incredibly raunchy because according to HipHopDX, the “WAP” rapper hinted at wanting to take part in some sexual foreplay with the “Truth Hurts” singer.

After Angela Yee brought up the rumor about Cardi B, Lizzo gasped and responded, “Let me tell you something. This is the funniest person.”

She continued telling the story, saying, “Like we were sitting there and she was like, ‘Ok, now whisper into Lizzo’s ear,’ and this is the first time we had to do that because at first, we were just kind of chatting. And she was like, ‘I want to eat your pussy,’ when I say I died laughing, this girl is so funny to me. After that the director split us up. She said, ‘Alright y’all can’t stand together anymore we’re going to have to do this in post.'”

Charlamagne Tha God asked Lizzo how she knew that Cardi B was actually joking with her, prompting the Cuz I Love You artist to admit that she wasn’t 100% sure. “To be honest with you, I can’t tell if she was joking or not,” she said, laughing. “Because you know she is always talking about big girl pussy. She always talking about it. She say, ‘Pussy stay wet/Like a big bitch, remember that?”

“Listen, I been keeping track records of this, you know, she talks about it all the time,” Lizzo continued. “She said, ‘You know how big girls have wetter vaginas?’ she talks about fat girl pussy all the time and she has that tongue, so who knows. Maybe the rumors are true.”

Watch the video below to hear Lizzo tell the story about her x-rated verbal encounter with Cardi B. Are you surprised that the “Up” rapper whispered that in your ear? And do you think that it was appropriate?

Cardi B Defends Lizzo After She Had An Emotional Breakdown About Negative Comments

Lizzo should be celebrating a good moment in her career as she just released “Rumors” with Cardi B, her first single in almost two years. Unfortunately for her, however, negative comments Lizzo read on social media pushed her to tears that were captured during a recent Instagram Live session she held.

“For the most part, it doesn’t hurt my feelings. I don’t care,” she said during the livestream. “I just think when I’m working this hard, my tolerance gets lower, my patience is lower, I’m more sensitive and it gets to me.”

The Cuz I Love You singer continued to address the “people who have something mean to say about you” for the remainder of the livestream. Once a clip of Lizzo’s words landed on social media, Cardi B arrived to defend her on Twitter.

“When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive,” the rapper wrote. “When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you.” Cardi added, “Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.”

Mulatto Confirms She Recently Got Her Breasts Done

This weekend, Latto popped out at the UPROAR Hip Hop Festival in Los Angeles, California, alongside other industry giants like Lil Wayne and Polo G. Latto’s performance at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Friday further cemented her rise in the Hip-Hop community, especially considering that special guests Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, and The Game also made surprise appearances.

Following her UPROAR set, Latto hit social media to share some pictures and behind-the-scenes footage of her festival appearance, and upon seeing her posts, one fan decided to call out the Atlanta rapper over her physical appearance.

Just a matter of days after fans were attacking the Queen of Da Souf artist about her biracial looks, a fan proceeded to try and roast Latto even further. Alluding to the rapper’s breasts, the fan wrote, “Y’all be fresh off the operating tables let them settle in [crying emoji].”

Rather than sit back and ignore the Twitter user’s joke or deny her claims altogether, Latto responded by confirming that she has in fact undergone plastic surgery, just not as recently as the disrespectful fan may have thought. “Girl these titties is 5 months old but go awf,” the “Go Crazy” femcee wrote back on Twitter.

As plastic surgery becomes more and more popular, you have Hip-Hop artists like Boosie criticizing surgical enhancements and others like Cardi B saying that plastic surgery has helped her feel “super confident.” As a result, it’s interesting to see that Latto has been so transparent with her followers by publicly confirming that she had her breasts enhanced.

Let us know how you feel about Latto’s openness about her plastic surgery in the comments.
