Safaree Causes A Scene & Storms Out Of His Own Baby Shower: Watch

Safaree Samuels must not want people to like him, because he’s portraying himself as a jerk yet again by storming out of his own baby shower on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, causing a scene and allegedly ignoring Erica Mena and his daughter.

The entertainer is being called out for his behavior on last night’s episode of LHHATL, where he was shown storming out of a baby shower that was organized for him and Erica Mena.

“Here we are at a baby shower my friend threw for us and he’s not even acknowledging me or his daughter,” said Erica Mena in a filmed confessional.

“The energy here, it’s not right,” said Safaree in his own confessional. “I can see and feel and hear all the little knacking and tacking behind my back. So we’re at a disgusting place right now.”

After Erica accused Safaree of “disrespecting her emotions” during another confessional, Safaree ended up leaving the baby shower, explaining, “She wanna do all that extra shit for a crowd, so I’m just gonna get out of here before I end up saying some shit that can’t be taken back. I’m out of here, I’m going to the airport, I’m going to Miami. I ain’t trying to be around all this bad energy.”

Erica and their daughter were supposed to join Safaree in Miami, but he asked Erica to cancel their flights.

You’ve got to give Safaree some credit… at least he’s consistent with his antics. What do you think of the below clip?

Kevin Feige Responds To Disney’s “Experiment” Comments On “Shang-Chi”

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and the polarizing comments made by Disney boss Bob Chapek regarding the film. Chapek described Shang-Chi as an “interesting experiment” in a recent earnings call.

“We are not an experiment,” Shang-Chi star Simu Liu said on Twitter afterward. “We are the underdog; the underestimated. We are the ceiling-breakers. We are the celebration of culture and joy that will persevere after an embattled year. We are the surprise.”

The film premiered in Los Angeles on Monday, which is where Feige addressed Liu’s tweet and the controversy as a whole. He described the interpretation of Chapek’s comments as a “misunderstanding.”

“He is not a shy man,” Feige said. “I think in that particular tweet you can see and I think everyone does, a misunderstanding. It was not the intention. The proof is in the movie and we swing for the fences as we always do. With the amount of creative energy we put in and the budget, there’s no expense spared to bring this origin story to the screen.”

Shang-Chi will hit theaters on September 3, 2021.

Atlanta Falcons First NFL Team To Reach 100% Vaccination: Report

The Atlanta Falcons are the first team in the NFL to reach 100% vaccination rate for its players. The news was announced Monday night by the NFL, who applauded the Falcons for listening to basic science and doing whats best for everyone.

“Each player will now enjoy the benefits of being able to work out and eat together,” the Falcons said in the news release. “They won’t have to test daily, won’t have to wear masks around the facility and won’t have to quarantine following a close contact with someone who tests positive.”

The news comes after the league released a memo in July warning all 32 clubs that COVID-19 outbreaks can cause games to be canceled, adding that teams responsible for the cancellations will have forfeit contests and lose weekly checks.

NFL Network’s Judy Bautista reported on Aug. 11 that 91.7% of the league’s players were fully vaccinated, well above the 59.4% vaccination rate among eligible Americans (12 years of age and older) reported by the CDC as of Monday.

The Falcons join the Ole Miss football team in reaching 100% vaccination rate after head coach Lane Kiffin announced last week that every player and staff member had been vaccinated. Lets hope more teams follow suit here moving forward.

Good work Falcons players.

Lil Tjay’s Tribute To Deceased Friend Taken Down Over Uncleared Giveon Sample

It’s almost impossible to find a Lil Tjay song that doesn’t include a reference to “Smelly,” Lil Tjay’s childhood best friend who passed away in 2016. While Esmerlyn “Smelly” Toribio’s legacy has survived thanks to the consistent respect and homage Lil Tjay pays to him through lyrical name drops, the Bronx rapper released “Forever In My Heart”– a tribute song and video about his late friend, this week for the fifth anniversary of Toribio’s passing. Though the song was never released on streaming services, Lil Tjay announced on Instagram today that it has been pulled off of YouTube after a Giveon sample in the beat wasn’t cleared by his label, leaving the rapper distraught.

“They took down ‘Forever In My Heart’ because I ain’t cleared the Giveon sample,” a hoodied up and somber Lil Tjay said on Instagram. The Bronx rapper then explained why the sample, from Giveon’s “Heartbreak Anniversary”, wasn’t cleared: “I ain’t put it on platforms I really made that sh*t probably 2-3 days before I even dropped it. So I couldn’t clear it or even try to clear it but I just put it on YouTube.” Clearly, Tjay was more focused on sharing the message and honoring his friend than any industry formalities. “I wasn’t even trying to really like sell a song or put it on platforms. it was just for the art, you feel me?” the rapper said.

Apparently, Lil Tjay found the beat on YouTube as well. The rapper finished the video by tagging Giveon and asking him to clear the sample, claiming that he was just trying to “let sum live.” Fans flocked to Tjay’s comments to offer support for the devastated rapper, while others claim he should’ve known better.

SAINt JHN Announces “In Case We Both Die Young” Tour Dates

In the time that live entertainment has been sidelined because of the pandemic, we’ve seen a few of our favorite artists morph into complete superstars. SAINt JHN is one of the vocalists that came out of the health crisis with more of an elevated profile, and much of that has to do with the success of his Imanbek-backed “Roses” remix, which completely blew up on TikTok. The track, which was nearly a half-decade old when the then-unknown Kazakhstan-based producer remixed it, prompted millions of people to play it on repeat for the better part of a year.

During the most uncertain time of our lives, SAINt JHN released his acclaimed album While The World Was Burning, which featured Kanye West, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, and others. Because of strict social distancing guidelines around the country, SAINt JHN was not able to perform his new music, but we’ll all experience the rush of one of our favorite artists entertaining a live crowd again when he hits the road for the freshly-announced In Case We Both Die Young tour.

Announcing the tour on Tuesday, the GRAMMY-winning rockstar revealed that he will kick off the dates in Phoenix on October 19, completing the tour leg in Los Angeles on November 30. Throughout the month-long stretch, SAINt JHN will perform in Miami, Atlanta, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Portland, and other major markets across North America.

UK rapper Little Simz has been steadily releasing mixtapes and EPs since 2014. She received much critical acclaim for her latest 2019 album Grey Area, and she’s currently gearing up for her next LP. To celebrate, Little Simz took over late-night TV for a performance of her single “Woman” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Illuminated by elegant chandeliers, Little Simz took the stage sporting a fitted suit for her US TV debut. Accompanied by a full band and a trio of backup singers, Little Simz rhythmically delivered her “Woman” lyrics, which describe the qualities of beautiful women across the world. The Cleo Sol-featuring song originally debuted back in May as the second single off her upcoming album, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. The rapper has also previewed the effort with the tracks “Introvert,” “I Love You, I Hate You,” and “Rollin Stone.”

Young Nudy Is A Science Experiment Subject In The Surreal ‘Green Bean’ Video

In the video for Young Nudy’s latest Rich Shooter single, “Green Bean,” the Atlanta-bred rapper relaxes on a bed of green pellets as scientists take notes, explores the solar system, and gets lost in an extraterrestrial rain forest, all while he reels off the details of his illicit activities over a bouncy beat provided by Pi’erre Bourne.

Rich Shooter, released on August 4, is Young Nudy’s second project of the year after the horror-themed Dr. Ev4l. He’s currently in the middle of a tour promoting both projects, the Dr. Ev4l vs. Rich Shooter tour, pitting both of his alter egos against one another through 10 cities including his native Atlanta, with dates remaining in Silver Springs, New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.

If we just went by singles, Dr. Ev4l would be ahead in that competition, with videos out for the title track, “2Face” featuring G Herbo, and the haunting “Soul Keeper.” Nudy also explained why it’s harder for him to collaborate with other artists in a July interview, saying, ““You gotta go in there and fake smile with somebody… They not just going to let you in the door.” With two personas to choose from, it’s less of a problem, although something tells me his real breakout will come when he gets over that social anxiety and starts working with some bigger names.
