Gunna Finally Releases “9 TIMES OUTTA 10”

Ever since the release of Wunna, Gunna has continued to flood the streets with bangers. Many of them have been loose singles while others have been contributions to the YSL camp. However, in the year and some change since Gunna’s second studio album, he’s continues to expand on his sound, and fans have been eager to hear his next body of work.

It seems like the wait might not be too far away. On Wednesday, he returned with a brand new release titled, “9 TIMES OUTTA 10” alongside Taurus. The single finds Gunna weaving through the moody production with lavish flexes while detailing the resilience that’s led him to win over and over again.

The song’s official release came after it was heavily teased online. Fans hoped that it would land on the deluxe edition of Wunna but that never happened.

Quotable Lyrics
Nine out of my ten friends rockin’ them a Rollie
Fat carat on my ear, it’s hard to go unnoticed
No rosa gold, just all white got me feeling holy
Big dude, he had that soft white hoe and know he sold it

Sheff G Locks In With A Boogie & Sleepy Hallow On “Run It Up”

Sheff G is currently incarcerated, though his name stays alive in the rap game during his absence. The rapper was taken in on a felony gun charge last month and was expected to have another court hearing today (Aug. 18th). In the midst of his legal situation, the rapper came through with some more heat before the summer comes to an end. This time, he enlists A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Sleepy Hallow for “Run It Up.” Soft guitar strings and lush vocal samples clear the way for a more melodic offering that perfectly combines the styles of all three rappers.

Sheff G previously released his track, “On Go” with Polo G and “Start Some Shyt.” It looks like a new project could be underway soon.

Quotable Lyrics
Seen mine, if she friendly
I told her it’s okay, we got nines, we got Bentleys
We got 9s in our Bentley
Had a knife in my back when I wrote my first song
Put a knife to your face like a dollar and fifty

BIA’s ‘Whole Lotta Money’ Caused A Store To Sell Out Their Stock Of Bottega Veneta Heels

A successful doesn’t always just affect the artist who made it; sometimes it can also help others make money as well. A good example of this is BIA’s hit song “Whole Lotta Money.” The track, from her 2020 EP For Certain, originally gained popularity as a viral song on TikTok. But months later a remix featuring Nicki Minaj made it even bigger. And it affected others as well, as BIA recently revealed.

Fans of the rapper have been rushing to a certain store to purchase a pair of Bottega Veneta heels, the same luxury brand that BIA mentions in “Whole Lotta Money.” Apparently so many rushed to the store that they’re having trouble keeping that line in stock.

“Not the store clerk at Bottega saying the heels are sold out bc of the song,” the rapper wrote in a tweet Wednesday morning.

In the song, BIA is fulsome in her praise of these shoes. “I put on my jewelry just to go to the bodega / And I keep it with me just so that I’m feeling safer,” she raps. “Fendi on my body, but my feet is in Bottega / B*tch, I’m getting money, give a f*ck about a hater.”

Earlier this year, amid the song’s growth, BIA brought “Whole Lotta Money” to the UPROXX Sessions for a boisterous performance. You can revisit that here.

Michelle Williams Is Tired Of Being Called “Clumsy” Due To “106 & Park” Fall

At this stage in her life, Michelle Williams seems disinterested in creating new music. She had a successful run with Destiny’s Child and became an international superstar after joining the group in early 2000. She has gone on to star on Broadway as well as on television and in films, resulting in several awards in many fields. Although she has had iconic moments in her career, fans can’t seem to get over her tumble on 106 & Park back in 2004.

Destiny’s Child visited the defunct series for a live performance of their song “Soldier,” and as they were walking down the stairs, Michelle lost her footing and fell.

The infamous moment has gone down in music history and every so often, fans revisit the clip as they remind the singer of her embarrassing moment. During a recent interview with Larry Reid Live, the host made a joke about the singer landing on her feet and it gave Michelle an opportunity to address the slip and fall.

“I need people to stop saying, ‘She’s so clumsy!'” said Michelle. “I fell one time. That’s like, causing PTSD. That’s probably why ain’t gon’ do music.” Her fans are hoping that she changes her mind about making another album because Michelle mentioned in the interview that she may have the capabilities to continue her singing career but she just doesn’t necessarily want to.

Suge Knight’s Former Capo Mob James Names Biggie’s Alleged Killer

While the hunt for Biggie Smalls’ killer continues, Mob James, Suge Knight‘s ex-capo, sat down with DJ Vlad where he shared details about the night the rap star was killed. James said that Reggie Wright Jr. was under the impression that a member of the Bloods and Knight’s affiliate Wardell “Poochie” Fouse was behind the fatal shooting. When asked if he believes this theory, James gave a thumbs up and said, “right on.”

James then went on to respond to Diddy’s former security guard Gene Deal’s claim that it was a man in a bowtie who fired the gun at Big. “Reggie was there. Gene wasn’t there. Gene can’t say he seen the dude pulling the trigger. He just say he remembers seeing this guy with a bow tie around — and that’s his truth. He did see this. But that don’t say that that’s the man who did it,” he said.

Still, James added that he does believe that it was Poochie, who died in 2003, who died the gun that killed Biggie.

“Everybody in their right mind that was there knows what happened, but ain’t nobody going to say, ‘Poochie, Poochie, Poochie,’” he added. “Now that he’s dead, everybody can speak on it and whatever now. I’m surprised they haven’t came and said they know who did it. But the hood talks —  everybody knows who doing what, especially when it comes around to Death Row. Everybody knew who did it, why it was done, and some cats are still applauding the fact that it happened because we lost Tupac, so just in retaliation of that, it is what it is. That’s how they felt”
