Lil Uzi Vert Says He’s ‘Going Back To Classic Mode’ For His New Music

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve received a solo project from Lil Uzi Vert. While he’s given us several fire features, as well a collaborative mixtape with Future, Uzi hasn’t given us a full-length project of his own since 2020’s Eternal Atake. Yesterday, Uzi took to his Instagram story to give us an update on his new music.

“This time less talkin’ more working,” said Uzi. “Going back in classic mode. I been [through] 2 much this time around. Nothin’ can break me.”

Uzi may be referring to The Pink Tape, his long-anticipated follow-up album to Eternal Atake. He first announced The Pink Tape last year, teasing it all throughout 2021. While attending an event at the 40/40 club last year, Uzi said of the album, “…it’s going through the mixing process right now because last time I dropped an album, it did really well,” Uzi said. “[Eternal Atake] was actually my highest-selling album but it was a little bit experimental on the mixing part, not the actual music, so this time, I went experimental with the music and traditional on the mixing.”

While it was originally planned for October of last year, Uzi revealed he is deciding to take his time on The Pink Tape to make sure “it won’t suck.

Post Malone Teases ‘Cooped Up,’ A Roddy Ricch Collaboration That’s Coming This Week

A few weeks ago, Post Malone took to Instagram Live to share quick previews of some upcoming music. One of those was “Cooped Up,” a collaboration with Roddy Ricch. Now, Malone has offered a more official teaser and noted the song is coming this week.

The 30-second teaser video doesn’t reveal much: None of the song can be heard and it mostly features footage of Malone smoking in the dark. The caption is where the info comes from, as Malone offers the song’s release date, writing, “Cooped Up with @RoddyRicch Thursday 12pm ET.”

The song is a meeting of chart champions, as Malone has four No. 1 singles to his name, his latest being 2019’s “Circles.” Ricch had his first (and so far, only) No. 1 single the next year when “The Box” topped the Hot 100. This won’t be their first collaboration, as Ricch (and Tyga) featured on a remix of Malone’s “Wow.”

The new single is set to appear on Twelve Carat Toothache, which currently has a June 3 release date. That’s not the only major life event Posty has on the horizon: He’s getting ready to perform on Saturday Night Live and become a father.

Former Jaguars Kicker Sues Team Over Urban Meyer’s Alleged Abuse

Urban Meyer’s time in Jacksonville was short-lived. He was a terrible, incompetent coach who no one seemed to like. Now, according to the Tampa Bay Times, Meyer’s tenure with the team is leading to a full-on lawsuit involving former kicker Josh Lambo. Lambo had been released from the team back in October and he believes that Meyer’s conduct actually led to the decline in his play.

In the lawsuit, Lambo states that Meyer kicked him while he was stretching and said “Hey Dips**t, make your f**king kicks!” followed by “I’ll kick you whenever the f**k I want.” Lambo is adamant that he lost sleep over this incident and that he couldn’t even practice properly because of the inappropriate conduct.

Back in December, Meyer had addressed all of Lambo’s accusations, claiming that the kicker was not giving a proper account of what happened. Needless to say, the Jaguars believe Lambo is simply overexaggerating the situation.

“There are eyewitnesses to refute his account,” Meyer had stated. “[General manager] Trent [Baalke] and I met with him on multiple occasions to encourage his performance, and this was never brought up. I was fully supportive of Josh during his time with the team and wish him nothing but the best.”

This is a developing story so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates.

Uzi has been teasing the follow-up to his 2020 albums Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World 2 and Eternal Atake since last year. In August, he claimed that the project was mostly finished and he was in the mixing process.

“Well, it’s going through mixing process right now because last time I dropped an album, it did really well,” he said at the reopening and 18th-anniversary celebration of JAY-Z‘s 40/40 Club. “It was actually my highest-selling album, but it was a little bit experimental on the mixing part, not the actual music, so this time, I went experimental with the music and traditional on the mixing.”

Uzi also said that The Pink Tape would release before Halloween of that year, but the holiday came and went with no Uzi album.

Over the last year, he’s teased working with Travis Scott, Grimes, Charlie Heat, and more.

DJ Khaled Channels Drake By Giving Erik Spoelstra A Sideline Massage

When the Toronto Raptors went on their infamous title run three years ago, Drake was there to see it all take place. He could be seen courtside at all of the games, and he was particularly bothersome during the Eastern Conference Finals when the Raptors took on the Bucks. The Bucks were a team that was favored to win the series, but once Drake started to get involved on the sidelines, they seemed to get a bit out of sorts, especially once their coach talked about the ordeal in the media.

Perhaps Drake’s worst infraction during that series was when he went up to Nick Nurse and gave the Raptors head coach a back massage while coaching. It was a pretty hilarious, but it did rub some people the wrong way, no pun intended.

Last night, DJ Khaled did the very same thing while sitting courtside during the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers game. The Heat steamrolled the Sixers and Khaled was pretty excited. He ended up going over to Heat coach Erik Spoelstra and then gave him a nice shoulder rub before going back to sit down.

After the game, Spoelstra spoke about the back rub, saying “That was funny. I didn’t even notice him until the end, what he was doing to get the crowd fired up.”

The Heat now have a 3-2 series lead, and we’re sure Khaled will continue to be a huge mainstay at these Heat games as the playoffs go on.

Gunna Surrenders To Authorities, Mugshot Surfaces After YSL Indictment: Report

Gunna has officially turned himself into authorities after he, Young Thug, and 26 other people were indicted on RICO charges on Monday. Gunna, real name Sergio Kitchens, is charged with one count of Conspiracy To Violate the RICO act.

Per Complex, Gunna’s name was listed on five different counts in the RICO indictment against YSL. They claimed that he committed felony acts of drug possession (methamphetamine, marijuana, and hydrocodone) with the intent to distribute. Gunna’s name was also listed in counts of theft by receiving stolen property. However, the merits of the charges largely rely on social media activity, such as the rapper donning a YSL chain and promoting the YSL brand across social media.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis said that members of street gangs will be prosecuted to the “fullest extent of the law.”

“As the District Attorney of Fulton County my number one focus is targeting gangs, and there’s a reason for that, they are committing conservatively 75 to 80% of all of the violent crime that we are seeing within our community and so they have to be rooted out of our community,” she said. “It does not matter what your notoriety is, what your fame is if you come to Fulton County Georgia and you commit crimes, and certainly if those crimes are in furtherance of street gangs that you are going to become a target and a focus of this district attorney’s office, and we are going to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”

We’ll keep you posted on any more updates regarding the YSL case.

Zion Williamson Excites Fans After Workout At Duke

Zion Williamson did not play a single game this season. He was dealing with a pretty bad foot injury and at every turn, it felt like things were just getting worse and worse. This became extremely frustrating for all of the Pelicans fans out there who just wanted to see Zion play some high-level basketball.

In the end, the Pelicans were able to make the playoffs which was surprising given Zion’s absence. Needless to say, fans believe this Pelicans team will be very scary once Zion gets back on the court. Luckily, Zion’s latest public appearance is hinting at a huge comeback.

Just yesterday, Zion found himself at Duke University where he got to workout at the K Center. As per the Duke Twitter account, Zion was showing off his dunk package, and it he seemed to be all smiles while walking around his alma mater. This should come as great news for all of the Pelicans fans out there because it means that Zion is getting closer and closer to being 100 percent.

We are about four months away from the Pelicans hitting the court for the regular season, so barring any major setbacks, Zion should be able to return. Hopefully, this will signify a huge turning point for the Pelicans franchise, which is looking to be on the up and up.

Vince Staples Says Lil Baby Waived Massive Fee To Collaborate On “East Point Prayer”

Vince Staples says that Lil Baby waived his fee for his work on “East Point Prayer” off of Staples’ newest album, Ramona Park Broke My Heart. Staples discussed the collaboration during a recent interview with Big Boy.

“He did it for free,” he said, before recalling the time he met him. “And I don’t believe in asking nobody to do nothing for free. I believe in whatever you charge – you gotta feed your family, and he did it for free. And you already know, he can charge whatever he wants. It’s funny because I met him at a Motown thing. We was cool and we ain’t really talk like that. And I was like, ‘Lil Baby would sound good on this.’ And I was tryna get it so where we could talk about it. He said, ‘We don’t even have to talk, I’ma do it.’ He just went and did it … he looked out.”

Back in June 2020, it was reported that Baby was charging $100,000 per verse. Seeing how his popularity has only grown in the two years since, the fee has likely gone up.

As for why he went with Baby for the track, he explained to us back in April that “[It] just sounded right.”

He continued: “It wasn’t much past that. Just thought it would sound good. That’s pretty much my only reasoning to ever do musically is ‘cause I think I’ll like it. He’s a good dude and a good artist and a very, very, very, very hardworking person. Everybody likes Lil Baby. I think that’s self-explanatory but just sounded like it would be a good pairing. Just trying to put the music first.”
