Wack 100 Says The Game Will Soon Release a Diss Aimed at Eminem

The Game to young rappers advice

Last month, The Game stated he was a better rapper than Eminem. Today, his manager Wack 100 states the Compton rapper has a diss toward Slim Shady tucked away.

Hopping on Clubhouse, Wack says fans will hear the shots toward Eminem in The Game’s next single.

“We startin’ a fire, the Black Slim Shady is coming,” Wack said. “That nigga better be ready, because this nigga done went crazy.”

Wack was asked to confirm if it was a target toward Em, which he did, stating that the legendary rapper would want to respond and citing that The Game had no boundaries in his diss because Eminem is comfortable dissing his mother and the mother of his children.

In March, The Game’s appearance on Drink Champs had all of Hip-Hop going crazy. Speaking with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, the Compton legend had a lot to get off his chest. One of those statements was directed toward Eminem, who he wants to see in a V.E.R.Z.U.Z. battle.

The Game honored Eminem as one of the great MCs before he would take the chance to boost himself, “I used to think Eminem was better than me.” After N.O.R.E. as The Game to expound, he let off a confident statement: “He’s not.”

The Drink Champs host challenged the notion, leading to The Game confidently stating he could go head-to-head with Marshall Mathers. You can hear it from The Game below.

Meanwhile, someone else has decided to dead his beef with Eminem.

Today In Hip Hop History: M.O.P. Dropped Their Debut Album ‘To the Death’ 28 Years Ago

Screen Shot 2022 04 05 at 5.06.53 AM

April 5 is an interesting day in Hip-Hop music. Rarely is a rap record released on this day — we did the research, but feel free to prove us wrong! There was one influential LP that jumpstarted the careers of two Brownsville natives and completely shook the game up in 1994. Yes, we’re talking about the Mash Out Posse, who you may know better as M.O.P.. and today we show them love as their debut album To The Death turns 28.

Select Street Records

Released on April 5, 1994, To The Death was yet another milestone in the domination that New York had on the rap game, with Lil’ Fame and Billy Danze both representing Brooklyn with the ruggedness and street appeal that shaped the attitude, look and overall sound of Hip-Hop at this time. The album itself was a precursor for rappers like Nas (Illmatic), Outkast (Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik), Da Brat (Funkdafied) and The Notorious B.I.G. (Ready to Die) amongst others that also debuted in 1994, with M.O.P. coming out swinging with three singles and a modest peak at #68 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

The album was produced entirely by legendary East Coast rap producer and fellow Brownsville native DR Period, aside from the closing track “Guns N Roses” which was handled by Silver D and executive producer creds going to silent M.O.P. member Laze E Laze. The musical themes highlight the climate of life in hoods throughout America in the ’90s — gang violence, “fake ass gangstas,” staying fresh and just surviving the “rugged neva smoove” streets of New York City.

Of all the singles released off this shining debut, the highlight would of course be the anthem cut “How About Some Hardcore.” It was the most successful performance on the charts and amongst the hardest of Hip-Hop fans, peaking in the Top 40 on the US Hot Rap Songs chart at #36. For those that liked it raw, M.O.P. provided that effortlessly on this record with impressive lyricism, dope production and a tenacity to make it big that we’d see the duo accomplish even greater on the DJ Premier-produced follow up album and the 2001 smash hit “Ante Up (Remix).” And to think: all of this originated from a chance standout appearance on the soundtrack to House Party 3!

Kanye West Pulls Out of Coachella One Week Ahead of Opening Weekend

Kanye West Italian Wedding

Kanye West was scheduled to perform at Coachella starting next weekend. That plan has been nixed. According to TMZ, Ye has canceled his appearance and headlining performance.

Kanye West was to join Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and Swedish House Mafia as headliners.

TMZ notes Travis Scott was scheduled to join Ye on stage during the performance, which is also believed to be called off.

Travis Scott was scheduled to participate in the 2022 festival but was pulled after the Astroworld Tragedy that claimed the lives of 10 people and injured over 300 others.

In February, YE threatened not to perform at Coachella until Eilish delivered an apology to Travis Scott. At a recent show, Eilish stopped to check on a fan who reportedly couldn’t breathe. According to Complex, Eilish said, “I wait for people to be OK until I keep going.” If you didn’t pick up the reference, Eilish is calling out Scott for the Astroworld Festival tragedies where Travis Scott performed through the outcries of fans who were trampled during the show. Hearing the words, Kanye hit Instagram with a message for Eilish.

“Come on Billie we love you,” Ye wrote. “Please apologize to Trav and to the families of people who lost their lives no one intended this to happen.”

Ye added, “Trav didn’t have any idea of what was happening when he was on stage and was very hurt by what happened and yes Trav will be with me at Coachella.”

Before ending the post, Ye asked for an apology. “Now I need Billie to apologize before I perform.”

Eilish chimed in at the comments: “Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan.” She has not issued an apology to date, but there is no direct association between the incident and Kanye’s recent decision.

Just last month, thousands signed a petition to remove Kanye West from the Coachella lineup. The Change-dot-org document was posted in response to Ye’s relentless targeting of his estranged ex-wife Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Pete Davidson. West was suspended from Instagram for 24 hours last week for posting racial slurs under a photo of “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah. He was also removed from the Grammys lineup due to his “concerning online behavior.”

The Grammy Awards Belittle Virgil Abloh’s Legacy During Memoriam Tribute

Virgil Abloh Dead at 41 After Battling Cancer

The Grammys always had a rocky relationship with the Hip-Hop culture, and it’s safe to say they made it worse. Yesterday during the 2022 Grammy Awards show’s “In Memoriam” segment, Virgil Abloh was described simply as ” “Hip Hop Fashion Designer.”

Virgil’s influence plays a significant role in the rap community, but his legacy goes beyond just Hip-Hop. Virgil Abloh, 41, died in November of 2021, and already he served as the artistic director of menswear for Louis Vuitton. He started his label, Off-White. He is often a collaborator with Kanye West and Travis Scott. Virgil also impacted music. Abloh was also nominated for a Grammy for his work on the recording package of Watch the Throne.

Fans found it confusing why the Recording Academy labeled Virgil as a “Hip-Hop designer,” and it didn’t sit well with them. On Twitter, you can find the response of many angry people.

This statement made by the Grammys is another example of the organization failing to recognize and adequately acknowledge the impact of Black people. This is the leading cause of the tension between the Grammys and the culture.

Today in Hip Hop History: Big Pun’s Posthumous Sophomore Lp ‘Yeeeah Baby’ Dropped 22 Years Ago

Screen Shot 2022 04 04 at 8.59.32 AM

On this day in 2000, the first posthumous L.P. to be released by the first “Latin to go platinum” entitled Yeeeah Baby was released on the Loud/Terror Squad imprint.

Christopher “Big Pun” Rios passed away just shy of two months before his sophomore L.P.’s release and anticipated success, which came on the heels of his debut album, Capital Punishment. With appearances from the entire Terror Squad and executive production by the T.S. general Fat Joe, the 16-track album showed Pun’s acute diversity in his lyricism and approach to song-making, which yielded some of the most memorable songs of his career. The album took longer to record because of Pun’s extreme obesity since his breathing problems couldn’t permit him to spit his custom, rapid-fire flow freely.

Some of the L.P.’s favorites are the Puerto Rican anthem “100%” with Terror Squad crooner Tony Sunshine on the hook, “New York Giants” featuring M.O.P., “Ms. Martin,” an ode to his protege Remy Ma and the touching single “It’s So Hard” featuring Donnell Jones.

Salute to Big Pun, Pun Jr., and the entire Terror Squad for this remarkable piece of Hip Hop History!
