TikTok Bans User Who Told Immigrants To Steal And Squat In Homes

In the ever-evolving landscape of social media, where influence can be wielded with a tap and a swipe, the power of a single viral video can sometimes leave lasting reverberations. Recently, a Venezuelan immigrant, Leonel Moreno, known as “Capichi” on TikTok, found himself at the center of a storm after a resurfaced video went viral, prompting widespread outrage and eventually leading to his ban from the platform.

In the now-deleted video, Moreno, with a following nearing 5 million, brazenly shared advice on exploiting squatter’s rights in the United States. “My people,” he proclaimed, “I’ve thought about invading a house in the United States because I’ve learned that there is a law that says that if a house is not inhabited, we can seize it.”

Watch the latest video at foxnews.com

The video quickly amassed over 4 million views before TikTok intervened, removing Moreno’s account from the platform. But the damage was done, sparking fury among Americans who viewed his message as a threat to their property rights and a brazen disregard for the law.

What further fueled the firestorm were Moreno’s other exploits showcased on his TikTok channel. He boasted about his infant daughter being an “anchor baby,” a term used to describe children born in the United States to non-citizen parents, often with the implication of securing legal residency for the family. Moreno also offered tutorials on shoplifting from retail stores, exploiting the vulnerabilities of return policies for financial gain.

Perhaps most shockingly, Moreno was involved in raising funds for a 15-year-old Venezuelan immigrant who had shot a security guard while shoplifting in New York City’s bustling Times Square. These revelations only served to intensify the backlash against him.

The issue of squatting is not a novel one in the United States, particularly in areas where housing affordability is a pressing concern. Recent tragic incidents, such as the killing of a woman by teenage squatters in her deceased mother’s apartment in New York City, have highlighted the dangers and complexities surrounding this issue.

Even high-profile figures like NBA star LeBron James have found themselves embroiled in the fight against squatting. In California, where housing prices soar and squatting is rampant, LeBron is building a multi-million dollar estate in Beverly Grove. However, just doors away, a $4.5 million mansion has fallen victim to squatters who transformed it into a lucrative party venue, pocketing over $30,000 a month in fees from party guests.

The response from local authorities has only added fuel to the fire. District Attorney George Gascon, who recently survived a recall effort, stirred controversy by asserting that “squatters have rights.” This stance has only heightened concerns among homeowners, including LeBron James, who find themselves facing an uphill battle against those exploiting legal loopholes for personal gain.

As communities grapple with the fallout from his viral video, it underscores the urgent need for dialogue and action to address the underlying issues of housing insecurity and property rights in America.

Bianca Censori steps out with Ye Wearing completely see-through bodysuit

Kanye West‘s wife is turning heads once again based on her choice of outfit (or in this case, lack thereof). On Sunday night, Bianca Censori was photographed baring it all in a sheer black bodysuit which left very little to the imagination.

Papparrazzi captured the pics of the couple as she and Ye stopped by a Raising Cane’s drive-thru in Burbank on Sunday. The sheer bodysuit was all black save for thin clear portions of plastic straps on the top. It appears she also may have had on thigh-high stockings under the bodysuit (or perhaps they were part of the piece itself). While the model had no problem displaying her nipples, she strategically used her cell phone to cover her genital area from the gaggle of press. At one point, an unknown male appears to try to hold up a coat or blanket to block the photogs from taking pics of the couple.

Ye, on the other hand, wore an all-black ensemble accentuated with Nike gloves (possibly sending a message to Adidas amidst his ongoing beef with the brand).

Kanye just completed his weekend performance at Rolling Loud, which drew criticism from many fans for the performance while there appeared to be a fight that occurred between a transgender individual and others during his performance as well.

Future’s Freewishes Foundation Starts S.T.E.A.M Programming for Students

Future Lands His 150th Single on the Billboard Hot 100

The foundation has started programming for marginalized students interested in S.T.E.A.M

Last year, Grammy award-winning entertainer Future and his Freewishes Foundation opened a sleek S.T.E.A.M lab in Atlanta. The lab was just the beginning of the foundation’s  S.T.E.A.M initiative.  At the time, Future stated, “It’s important that all students receive access to S.T.E.A.M education regardless of their background.”

The goal of the Freewishes Foundation is to eradicate the educational gap in tech and science amongst marginalized communities and extend the opportunity for all students to excel in S.T.E.A.M through quality education.

Freewishes has started programming for students in S.T.E.A.M. through a groundbreaking collaboration with Intel.  The collaboration is entitled Intel Future Skills Day.  It was held on  February 26th and February  28th at the Freewishes S.T.E.A.M lab at  Bessie Branham Recreation Center in Kirkwood, where Future grew up.  It is the beginning of more programming for students interested in S.T.E.A.M education. Atlanta students interested in upcoming workshops and programming are encouraged to go to Freewishes.org.

As a company, Intel’s goal is to create world-changing technology that enriches the lives of every person.  In 2016, they made the Intel® Future Skills platform to ensure that the next generation can access the framework needed for a lifetime of problem-solving and discovery through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) learning.

Tia Wilburn, Executive Director of Freewishes, is delighted about the collaboration and how this program will impact students throughout Atlanta.

“We are excited about this opportunity to partner with Intel to further one of our main objectives of S.T.E.A.M education. Our overall objective is to encourage students to become innovators by emphasizing students’ expressions and creativity when solving technical or science-related problems. We want our students to be more than just consumers and assemblers of technology. We want them to be devisers, catalysts for change, and the driving force behind innovation” – Tia Wilburn (Co-founder/Executive Director of FreeWishes Foundation).

Uriah Horne of the Atlanta Network of Intel African Ancestry (NIA) Co-Chair stated the following.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the esteemed FreeWishes Foundation.  Together, we unite our forces to inspire and empower local Atlanta youth through our innovative S.T.E.A.M. project. Intel Future Skills Day represents a pivotal moment for us as we come together to spark curiosity, creativity, and a passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics among the young minds in our community. We are excited to further lay the foundation for a future where every child can access the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive in the digital age. Intel is proud to be at the forefront of this transformative journey. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact this collaboration will have, not just on the participants, but on the broader community, as we aspire to light the spark of possibility in the hearts and minds of the next generation.” -Uriah Horne

Kristade Swain (Atlanta Network of Intel African Ancestry (NIA) Co-Chair said,  “We launched this S.T.E.A.M workshop day with the FreeWishes Foundation specifically for students across metro Atlanta as a way to equip them with the vital digital skills needed and to guarantee equitable access to technological opportunities within our community. We strive to emphasize the importance of representation within the tech industry. Who better to spearhead this movement towards greater inclusivity in tech than those who exemplify the richness of diversity we strive to see? Through this initiative, we’re not just teaching skills but hoping to inspire a new generation to see themselves as integral parts of the technological landscape.”   –

The Freewishes Foundation looks forward to creating more programming with Intel as a resource to prepare the future generation in S.T.E.A.M.

Princess Love and Ray J File for Divorce for a Fourth Time

Princess Love and Ray J File for Divorce for a Fourth Time

Princess Love and Ray J may finally be done….or are they? Monday marks the couple’s fourth divorce attempt as records show that Love filed for divorce Monday in L.A. County.

Love also shared a lengthy statement with her Instagram followers:

Dear friends and family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce.

After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways.

We want to reassure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with mutual respect and consideration for each other’s well-being. While our relationship as spouses may be coming to an end, we remain committed to co-parenting our children and maintaining a positive and supportive family dynamic.

We ask for your understanding, support, and respect for our privacy during this challenging time. We are grateful for the love and friendship we have received from each of you throughout our marriage, and we hope to continue nurturing those relationships in the future.

Though this chapter of our lives may be closing, we look forward to embracing the opportunities for growth, healing, and new beginnings that lie ahead. We are confident that with time, understanding, and the support of our loved ones, we will navigate this transition with grace and resilience.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

While most divorce filings are final, that has historically not been the case for this couple. Records show that Ray J filed for divorce in the spring of 2020 only to withdraw, Love filed in the fall of 2020 only to withdraw, and Ray J filed in 2021, once again only to withdraw.

The couple was married in 2016 and have two children: a daughter, Melody Love, and a son, Epik Ray.

NIKE Marks Milestone Fourth Year of Black Community Commitment

NIKE Marks Milestone Fourth Year of Black Community Commitment

NIKE, Inc. marked a significant milestone this week as it commemorated the fourth year of its Black Community Commitment (BCC), a decade-long, $140 million investment to advance racial equity and combat systemic racism. The company, including Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand, initially announced the BCC in June 2020, reaffirming its longstanding dedication to supporting the Black community and nonprofit organizations at the forefront of the fight for racial equity.

To celebrate the impactful work of BCC’s grantee organizations, NIKE, Inc. hosted a series of events as part of its “Path to Progress” programming in Washington, D.C. The programming included panel discussions featuring Nike leaders and BCC grantees, a special National Museum of African American History and Culture tour, and a marquee conversation among Nike leaders, athletes, and grantee leaders held at the Anacostia Arts Center.

The event’s highlight was unveiling the Nike Social & Community Impact Grantmaking Guide, an open-source playbook designed to empower other companies and funders to engage in community-centered grantmaking rooted in respect and trust. The guide offers insights into Nike’s approach to grantee selection, onboarding, investment management, and transition, emphasizing the importance of collaborative relationship-building in creating systemic change.

Vanessa Garcia-Brito, VP and Chief Social & Community Impact Officer at NIKE, Inc., underscored the pivotal role of authentic relationships in the BCC’s success over the past four years.

“We focused on supporting our grantees in ways that allowed them the space to drive impact where they and the communities they serve needed it most,” Garcia-Brito says. “This philosophy of participatory philanthropy — which leads with collaborative and community-centered giving — has been critical to the success of the BCC and is now central to how we support community organizations overall.”

Through the BCC, NIKE, Inc. has already committed $8.6 million in fiscal year 2024 to support national and local organizations across seven key U.S. cities. Looking ahead, the company remains dedicated to advancing social justice through sport at the local level, believing that increased sports participation can foster inclusive communities and drive progress in all aspects of life.

“I’m proud of the work and commitment Nike has made these past four years,” says John Donahoe, President and CEO, NIKE, Inc. “But without the passion, dedication and hard work of our more than 125 grantees, our investments simply would not drive the impact we jointly aspire to have.”

Over the next six years, Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand will continue supporting Black-led organizations focused on economic justice, education, social justice, and narrative change through the BCC, furthering NIKE, Inc.’s commitment to fostering racial equity and empowerment in communities nationwide.

Today In Black History: Civil Rights Icon Malcolm X Is Assassinated 59 Years Ago

Malcolm X

59 years ago today, February 21, 1965, the civil rights activist and leader, Malcolm X, was murdered at 39 years of age. Three men from the Nation of Islam, Thomas Hagan, Norman Butler and Thomas Johnson, were all charged with the Malcolm’s death, yet only Hagan confessed while the other two maintained their innocence. He was killed as he began speaking during the Organization of Afro-American Unity at the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem right in front of his wife and children.

Just one week prior to his assassination, attackers threw Molotov cocktails into his home in East Elmhurst, Queens and started a fire. He made a statement to the New York Daily News at the time of the attack:

“It could have been done by any one of many. I’m not surprised that it was done. It doesn’t frighten me…it doesn’t quiet me down in any way or shut me up.”

He received several death threats from the Nation of Islam, yet there are theories that there was more to his murder since it was known that FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover had ordered close surveillance watching Malcolm’s every move for quite some time.

As we commemorate the death of the influential leader Malcolm X, during this Black History Month, let us not forget what great strides have been taken and must continue to be made for the freedom of Black people in America.

Machine Gun Kelly Gets Blackout Tattoo Over Upper Half of His Body

Machine Gun Kelly Gets Blackout Tattoo Over Upper Half of His Body

Machine Gun Kelly has always been known for his tattoos, but this week, he revealed what might be his most jaw-dropping one yet: a blackout tattoo that covers the vast majority of his upper body including his chest, torso, and arms.

The tattoo, which he shared with his followers on IG on Tuesday, is mostly solid black ink with a few small lines that allow his prior tattoo work to peek through. Two negative space lines up top merge with a vertical black line down the artist’s torso to give the appearance of a cross.

The IG post simply read “For spiritual purposes only” and then tagged his tattoo artist, @roxx__ who also shared another picture of MGK on their account. The tattoo artist appears to specialize in bold, black works that emphasize the use of heavy and dark lines to create stunning visuals.

As of Tuesday evening, all other photos on MGK’s IG account appear to have been deleted.
