May 2nd has officially been named Megan Thee Stallion Day in Houston.  Mayor Sylvester Turner presented the 27-year-old Houston rapper with the key to the city, a belt buckle, and a cowgirl hat in a ceremony held on Sunday, May 1st recognizing the Grammy winner’s contribution to the community.  In March last year, Megan launched the ‘Hotties Helping Houston’ fundraiser to help senior citizens and single mothers who had their houses destroyed in the Texas freeze, offering monetary support for two years.  Megan made the announcement  and expressed her gratitude in an Instagram post with the caption that read-” Came home real quick to get THEE KEY TO THEE CITY 🤘🏾 and in honor of my mother and grandmother’s birthday MAY 2ND is officially MEGAN THEE STALLION DAY IN HOUSTON TX🔥🔥🔥 thank you Mayor @sylvesterturner for honoring me today and I will continue to give back to the city that made me who I am today 💙 #htown.”  While honoring the musician with the key, in his speech the mayor stated “Megan Thee Stallion has an extraordinary entertainment career, but we wanted to honor her for what she does offstage to lift people’s lives in underserved communities,” Turner said, noting her help after last year’s freeze, during the pandemic and with people who are homeless. “I look forward to watching her grow as an artist and humanitarian. Individuals who receive the key are responsible of upholding Houston’s values and represent the best this city offers.IIn fact, the key is our commitment to those who represent Houston at its best,”  Congratulations to Megan on this well-deserved honor.

Coco Jones Releases Her New Single "Caliber" via Def Jam

Coco Jones is no stranger to stardom. The former Disney Channel star has gracefully matured and glided into her greatness as a multi-talented actress and singer.

Jones has already dazzled fans in her role as the social media influencer and culinary expert Hilary Banks in Peacock’s hit series Bel-Air to start the new year. Amid the show’s success, she announced her signing to the historic music label Def Jam. Her single debut, “Caliber,” followed shortly after. According to the 24-year-old star, her vision aligns perfectly with Def Jam.

“It’s iconic,” she says. “I’ve had these experiences before, and I know how to operate in this business, but now I’m myself. I know what I want to sing about. I know what I want to say, and I know how I want it to sound. To have Def Jam behind me means so much because they get the vision too. They’re not trying to change me. They’re just trying to see me win.”

After wrapping up a captivating first season of Bel-Air, Coco heads into season two with the audience in their seat, wondering what’s next for Hilary.

“Everyone is asking me like I know what’s next,” she says as she laughs. “One thing I have learned about our writers is to expect the unexpected because they love to flip the script.”

As she has matured in the entertainment business, her definition of success has changed. “Being booked” was her previous definition. Now she equates success to simply one word: “peace.”

Whether using her angelic voice to serenade listeners or blessing viewers as a thespian, the sky is not the limit for Coco Jones. It is only a point of view.

[WATCH] White Reporter Slams Anthony Mackie & Monica For Attending CMT Awards, ‘It’s Not Wakanda’

The CMT Awards features fan-voted country music videos and live performances annually on the CMT Channel in Nashville, Tennessee.
In an effort to be more inclusive of other cultures, the CMT Awards recently began inviting Black performers.

This year the show was co-hosted by actor Anthony Mackie and featured performances by Jimmie Allen and R&B singer Monica.
Last week a white reporter, Patrick Howley, complained about Black artists at the awards show.
“There were so many Black people there,” Howley said. “Sorry to say, but so many Black celebrities who have nothing to do with country music and it’s, like, why?”

He also criticized Mackie for hosting the CMT Awards on Monday.

“I don’t know who this Black guy who’s hosting it. It’s supposed to be country music. No offense. I mean, y’all have hip-hop and basketball… Just fly with your flock, bro.”

Howley played a tape of Mackie hosting the CMT Awards and imitated a Black accent to mock the actor: “The melanated people invented country music! We was making country music in Wakanda before Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard done stole the Black man’s country music!”

After his comments drew backlash on Twitter, Howley claimed he isn’t racist because he listens to Black music.

“No disrespect to the funky brothers,” he continued. “I love Earth Wind and Fire, Run DMC, etc. But country music’s different… It’s not Wakanda.”

Wendy Williams was overheard telling pals she’s ready to make a “big comeback on TV” while out in the Big Apple Wednesday night. She’s also planning to access her frozen accounts from Wells Fargo soon, sources who’ve been in touch with the talk show host tell us. Spies spotted Williams, 57, chatting about the situation over dinner with financial expert and TV personality Baruch Shemtov at Fresco by Scotto. “Wendy was talking to Baruch about her situation with Wells Fargo and she confidently said ‘I’m getting my money back very soon,’” the spy told us.“She’s ready to get back to work,” a source told Page Six. “When you hear her talk… anyone who’s known her for years, knows they’re getting a Wendy who’s ready to work. She’s really in good form.”

Supreme To Release A Line Of Tees Inspired By Lil Kim’s ‘Hard Core’

The New York City Streetwear brand Supreme has released a brand new collection of T-Shirts for the spring 2022 season that pays tribute to Lil Kim’s 1996 debut album, “Hard Core”.  The T-shirts will be comprised of artwork, photos, and text prints of the album’s famous visual of the legendary rapper’s notoriously squat pose one of the most iconic posters in hip-hop.  

The Back of the shirt features the lyrics from Lil Kim’s verse on Mobb Deeps’ “Quiet Storm,” Where she quoted MC Lytes “Hot damn, ho here we go again .”   Lil Kim went to her Instagram page to make the announcement saying “I’m so happy to announce my collaboration with Supreme New York Including some of my classic and iconic masterpieces. The other T-shirts in the line include the “Still Talking $#@*” Platinum Recordings tee, a blood splatter logo, the Top Shotta graphic, and the flipped Gaspard Mermillod quote shirt that now reads, “Supreme is a person who can take the place of all others. But whose place no one else can take.” Artwork from British illustrator Ralph Steadman — known for his collaborations with Hunter S. Thompson — can be found in the form of a skull graphic.

Supreme was founded in 1994 by businessman and fashion designer James Jebia on Lafayette Street in Manhattan. The brand, dedicated initially to skateboarders and skate culture, was later adopted by Hip-Hop artists like the Wu-Tang Clan, Dipset, Nas, Tyler, the Creator, and more. 

Supreme’s Spring 2022 Tees will be globally released on the brand’s official website today, Thursday, April 14 at 11 am.

“Sometimes I’ll walk past my reflection and be like, Oh shit!” She says to writer Chioma NNadi for her exclusive Vogue, May cover interview.  Since announcing her pregnancy with A$AP Rocky in late January the 34-year-old megastar has embraced her newest role as mom-to-be and we can’t get enough of the growing baby bump as well as the viral style moments we are treated to daily.  She has literally rewritten the rules of what maternity wear looks like. “I’ve surrendered to my journey and am enjoying it. It’s a journey that is never going to end ya know even afterwards… I’m looking forward to it.” Rihanna also revealed in the interview that it was during the COVID lockdown that she and A$AP really became family.  “Things became serious when the world went into COVID lockdown. He became my family in that time,” she says. They traveled cross country in a tour bus during this time with out the glare of the public eye. “I cooked our food on this little janky grill I bought from Walmart,” she remembers. “I still have it, too. It works like nobody’s business.” No matter where they stopped, they always had fun. “I love the simple things but also the grand adventures,” she says. “There’s no pretentious my-brand-your-brand bullshit, it’s just us living,” she says of their existence together. “I just feel like I can do any part of life by his side.”  

When asked about her biggest pregnancy cravings Bad Gal Riri admits “I usually hate desserts, but all of a sudden you come close to me with a chocolate-covered donut and you’ve got my heart forever,” she says, giggling. Tangerines are a thing too. She eats them by the dozen, sprinkled with salt. Yes, salt. “It has to be with salt and only with salt because in Barbados we take our fruits to the ocean and soak them,” she insists. “Trust me, it really is a thing.”  We are looking forward to seeing Mama Riri take on her newest role as a parent and seeing what this means for her as a woman, her career and the surprises that are in store for her and the public who’s watching.  I’m looking forward to being a teacher but mostly being a student because I think I’m going to be learning more from my kid than I can ever teach them.” she says in a behind-the-scenes video interview.  Click HERE to read the full interview.

Monica Delivers A Powerful Performance At The CMT Music Awards

Monica teams up with Jimmie Allen, and Little Big Town for a soul-stirring performance of their collaborative track, “Pray” live at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium marking this Monica’s first-ever appearance on the CMT Music Awards.  The Boy is Mine singer appeared on the Red Carpet the look with oversized sunglasses. The soul-stirring performance was introduced by no other than Gayle King, which began with Allen behind a piano before Monica and Little Big Town joined on stage dressed in white on a stage that looked straight out of heaven, filled with clouds and smoke wearing all white.  The genre-crossing group delivered the angelic song, complete with soaring harmonies, as powerful scenes of prayer from all religions and belief systems were shown in the background — adding to the growing unity and inclusion within the country music world. This is not Monica’s first venture into country music, in August 2021, the “Angel of Mine” star teased a country album, according to Rated RnB, saying that she had been in the studio with Brandi Carlile. [WATCH] NFL Player Cam Newton Says A Lot Of Women Don’t Know How To Cook And Be Quiet

NFL star Cam Newton came under fire on social media Monday for comments he made about women.

Newton appeared on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast on Sunday. The veteran quarterback was asked about his upbringing toward the beginning of the show, and he started to talk about his family and how he was raised by the “perfect example of what a man was” in his father.

“My parents had been together for 36, 37 years now, and it’s a beautiful thing. I grew up in a three-parent household — my mom, my father and my grandmother. And I knew what a woman was. Not a bad b—-. A woman,” Newton said, adding that to him a “bad b—-” was a person who “looked the part” but didn’t “act the part.”

“And it’s a lot of women who are bad b—-es and I say ‘b—-es’ in a way not to degrade a woman but just to go off the aesthetic of what they deem as a ‘boss chick.’ A woman for me is handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs. I think a lot of times when you get that aesthetic of like ‘I’m a boss b—-, I’m a this, I’m a that,’ no baby. But you can’t cook. You don’t know when to be quiet. You don’t know how to allow a man to lead.”

Last month reality star Apple Watts ejected from her car after colliding with a diesel truck, leaving her unresponsive.
Apple Watts appeared on Love and Hip Hop Hollywood seasons 5 and season 6 and became a fam favorite due to her unadulterated realness.
The accident involved a diesel truck, and Apple’s car, unfortunately, flipped multiple times, causing her to be ejected out of the window. Her sister tells us that she is unresponsive at the moment, and she suffered a fractured skull, a broken spine, and a shattered arm.
Apple’s sister updates her fans on her progress and asks fans and supporters for help.

[WATCH] Rapper Peter Gunz Gets Into Another Altercation Exposing Cheater

Rapper Peter Gunz recently got into an altercation during a recent episode while hosting his infamous show Cheaters.
Peter Pankey became the host of Cheaters in October 2020 after the previous host Clark James Gable passed in February 2019. Deemed perfect for the job fans have rallied for the Bronx native.

In an interview with Showbiz Cheatsheet, the Bronx, New York native explained why he was the ideal host for the show.

“Most people that followed my story on Love & Hip Hop would say I have the audacity to take this job but I’m a good fit, you want someone in this role who has been down a similar road. Though I’m not proud of my reputation because of certain decisions I’ve made, I know that I am a draw because of what people have seen.”

He added that he knows how to sympathize with the cheater and serve as a mediator in situations concerning infidelity.

“I’m sympathetic to those who get caught and those who are heartbroken over the discovery,” he said. “My goal is not to break up a happy home, but instead to help the couples decide if they can work things out or maybe separation is best.”

During a recent episode, Peter revealed to the show’s guest video of him cheating on his wife of seven years. After the two women beat the guest up, he took his anger out on Peter as the two scuffled,
