41-year old tennis superstar Serena Williams is pregnant with her second child. Serena and her husband Alexis Ohanian attended the 2023 Met Gala Celebrating “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty” at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 01, in New York City.
Serena showed off her baby bump, wearing a stunning black Gucci dress with rhinestones on the hem. Serena and Alexis share 5-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Jr.
The tennis legend first mentioned her pregnancy in a Vogue livestream while chatting with La La Anthony, according to DailyMail.com. She said there were three people there for the interview — herself, Alexis and the unborn baby. La La and Alexis offered to drink in Serena’s honor.
Afterwards, Serena shared a photo of herself and Alexis on Instagram. She captioned the post: “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.”

A Canadian mother has revealed that she feeds her 18-month-old baby crickets because they’re ‘a great source of protein’. Despite backlash the mom insisted that the tot ‘loves’ eating the bugs and that it’s saved hundreds of dollars per month on her grocery bill. In January we shared how the European Union is allowing cricket powder in several household staples including baked goods.
Tiffany Leigh, a food writer from Toronto, Canada, said that she first tried insects during a visit to Asia – tasting everything from fried tarantula legs to scorpion on a stick – and she ‘loved’ how the critters were ‘incorporated into local dishes’ to ‘enhance their textural appeal.’
When her daughter became old enough to start eating food, Tiffany decided to add bugs to her diet – which she described as a much cheaper way to provide the toddler with protein.
During a chat with Insider, the mother-of-one explained that since she started mixing crickets into her 18-month-old’s meals, she doesn’t have to spend as much on ‘more traditionally expensive proteins like beef, chicken, and pork’ – and she said the change has resulted in her cutting her food bill down from $250-$300 a week to $150-$200 a week.
‘[My daughter is] at the age where she’s fearless and curious, so this is an opportune time to try more “exotic” foods that aren’t considered a dietary staple in North America,’ she explained.
‘[Crickets are] a nutritional powerhouse. A mere two tablespoons of cricket powder provides 100 per cent of the daily protein needs of a baby.
According to Entomo Farms ‘ website, the puffs are made from organic cricket flour, fava beans and lentils and are a great ‘source of protein, fiber, and vitamin B12.’ The baby is seen eating the puffs
Tiffany explained that she first started by giving her daughter Cricket Puffs, which she orders from Entomo Farms – a food retailer which specifically sells treats that are made out of crickets.
She said the Puffs look like Cheetos but taste ‘far less salty and have a fibrous finish to them.’
Tiffany admitted that she was horrified when she pulled the first one out of the bag, since she said you can ‘see their little heads, thoraxes, and abdomens all clustered together.’
After her toddler took a bite, it was clear she was not a fan of them and ‘chucked the rest onto the floor.’
Not giving up, Tiffany then decided to start mixing the whole roasted crickets into things like pancake mix or mac and cheese sauce – and it a major success, since the little girl couldn’t even tell they were in there.

‘We had more success when the ground crickets were “hidden” in pancakes. You could see the black flecks in the batter, but my baby was unfazed by the appearance change,’ she continued.
‘She took a big bite and clamored for more. I ate some and could understand why – you couldn’t tell that crickets were in these fluffy cakes.
‘The only difference was that they had a slightly nutty finish. For dinner, I sprinkled some of the powder into our mac-and-cheese sauce, tossed it with some pasta shells, and again, she couldn’t taste anything different. She then made the sign for “more” – it was a winner.’

Teyana Taylor recently shared how she was disappointed with how little Pharrell pushed for her success when she was signed to him early on in her career.
The R&B singer inked a deal with Pharrell’s Star Trak imprint back in 2007 when she was just 15 years old. Teyana released From a Planet Called Harlem while signed to Star Trak, but said she negotiated her way out of her deal in 2012 because she wanted a certain level of creative independence within the industry. Taylor then joined up with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music.
In a recent interview with Angie Martinez’ IRL podcast, Taylor said there was a time during her tenure at Star Trak that she was frustrated by the way Pharrell handled her career.
“Getting signed to a man, it was like a figure to me … I looked at these people like figures. Whether it was as a dad, as a brother, it didn’t matter. So it’s like, you didn’t see me, you didn’t hear me, you didn’t protect me. you kind of just like fed me to the wolves type-shit without probably even knowing,” she told Martinez. “Some of those conversations still need to be had.”
She continued: “I had a really, really, really, really deep and honest conversation with Pharrell, because, you know, he was the first person to sign me. He was Skateboard P, I was Skateboard T. You cannot tell me that wasn’t my pops. I really looked up to him. He didn’t have kids at the time, and he wanted kids. He’d be like, ‘Yo, she call me her pops.’ He was really proud of that.”
She went on to say that she was like Pharrell’s “baby twin,” but that as her career progressed he didn’t do much to elevate her to the next level.
“He’s not confrontational at all. He’s literally one of the sweetest people in just the whole wide world, you know what I’m saying? So, it wasn’t that he didn’t protect me, it’s just that a lot of hands started going into the cookie jar … it’s P, he not ’bout to be like. ‘No, y’all n-ggas back up,’” she explained
“Maybe he was hurt about some things. You don’t know. It could’ve been a thing of pride and ego at the time. We don’t know. To me, as a 15-year-old, it was, you didn’t protect me. You let everyone mishandle me. I signed to you. You let everybody get in the way and everybody break us apart. You didn’t protect me.”

Former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams’ brother Tommy went live on YouTube and stated his dissatisfaction towards some of the people around his sister during Easter.
After expressing his disappointment in Wendy bringing camera’s home for the holidays, then leaving shortly after her brother is fed up with people taking advantage. Tommy is naming Wendy’s manager Will Selby as the unsavory character he doesn’t trust.

In an on-camera interview, Tommy Williams exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun what he thinks about Wendy’s mental state, and how he feels about his famous sister’s associates after some escorted the star on a trip to Florida earlier this month.
“She’s so caught up with who she was and not who she’s become, and apparently she’d like to get back to who she was because she can’t stop talking about that person,” her 54-year-old brother said.
“So let’s all help you get back to that person, but we haven’t been able to help because she’s up in New York around people and we, the family, can’t get our hooks in her properly to reel her into the shore.
“So she’s staying out there with the sharks,” Wendy’s frustrated brother added.
Tommy then zeroed in on Wendy’s manager Will Selby, who was along with the star in Flordia to film her reality show.
“I don’t trust Will. I finally could say what I saw, I don’t trust.
“He wasn’t a man of very many words,” Wendy’s brother said, adding that the manager never introduced himself to either him or their elderly father, Thomas Williams Sr, while filming.
“And if you’re coming around our father and you’re putting this big piece together, and Wendy’s been away all this time and your name is synonymous with Wendy then speak the f*** up.
“Speak up, say something! Who are you!?”
“I’m just trying to keep my family safe because as my father climbs in age, I’m in the position to do what needs to be done for my family.
“So Will, you don’t have to talk to my father. And it was obvious you didn’t have the balls to talk to me and say anything to me.”
Tommy, who also claimed that Wendy is not well enough to be filming a reality show, also said of Will: “He seemed a little bit timid and out of sorts, and I guess if you’re doing the wrong thing, you’re not going to feel right.”
“I just know that he’s not a man. He’s soft. And he plays the backdrop. And that he’s using Wendy,” the star’s protective brother concluded.
Earlier this year comedian Kevin Hart’s show in Egypt was canceled after he said ancient Egyptians were Black. Hart was set to perform in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday. This week Netflix was forced to shut off the comments on the trailer for Jada Pinkett-Smith’s new Cleopatra biopic because the Egyptian Queen is portrayed as a Black woman.

Netflix has been forced to turn off comments for the official trailer of new docu-series Queen Cleopatra – after heated backlash and claims of ‘blackwashing’.
In the show, which is due to air on May 10, Cleopatra is depicted as black, despite historical records showing she was of Macedonian Greek heritage.
The four-part series is produced by Jada Pinkett-Smith and stars actress Adele James, 37, as the titular character.
Queen Cleopatra will explore the legacy, intellect and life of Cleopatra VII, the Greek Queen of Egypt from 51 to 30 BC.
The trailer notes that Cleopatra belonged to the Ptolemaic dynasty but then goes on to dispute her heritage.
‘It’s possible she was an Egyptian’ says one expert, while another adds: ‘I remember my grandmother saying to me “I don’t care what they tell you in school, Cleopatra was black.”‘
The two-minute official Trailer uploaded on April 12 has already amassed over 1.9 million views on YouTube.
Meanwhile, Netflix has been forced to turn comments off on the official trailer, after it was met with controversy.

WE TV just announced a new series titled Toya & Reginae, which will revolve around the lives of hip-hop icon Lil Wayne’s ex-wife Toya Johnson-Rushing and daughter Reginae Carter. The unscripted series will follow the mother-daughter duo’s lives and challenges. The show is a spinoff of the acclaimed Growing Up Hip Hop which featured the duo.
The newly married Toya and her daughter has been the talk of the town since Reginae’s relationships have been public. The press release states, “As happy as they seem on social media, their lives are unpredictable and full of chaos.” The series will premiere this fall and be available on WE TV and ALLBLK. Johnson-Rushing spoke to Variety and said, “I’m so excited to let viewers back into our lives to see what my family has been up to since you’ve seen us last.”

Producer Madlib recently revealed that he has an upcoming project in the works with the neo-soul queen—Erykah Badu. The talented and highly sought after composer appeared on Sway in the Morning with Talib Kweli to promote their new album Liberation 2. During the conversation, Madlib said he recently began work on a full-length effort with Ms. Badu.

Shocking video of Beef star David Choe detailing his alleged assault of a Black woman has gone viral.
In a clip from Choe’s podcast DVDASA has sparked outrage and disgust for the actor who plays Isaac, and who painted all the title cards for Beef. In 2014, Choe bragged about being “a successful rapist” of a Black woman but later denied it as “bad storytelling” for “shock value.”
“According to his own telling, the woman David Choe assaulted is Black. He describes himself as a ‘successful rapist,” Aura Bogado wrote on Twitter with a clip from a now-deleted episode called “Erection Quest. The Tweet has more than 1.4 million views a day later.
“But the thrill of possibly going to jail, that’s what achieved the erection quest,” Choe said on the podcast.
Even his co-host Asa Akira looked shocked, saying, “Ew, you’re basically telling us that you’re a rapist now. And the only way to get your d*ck really hard– is rape.”
“Yeah,” Choe said, doubling down as two other men laughed. They went on to ask what she looked like. He fed into their sadistic fantasy by describing her body, hair and race.
“Who cares what she looks like? Dave is telling us he’s a rapist,” Akira said.
“A successful rapist,” Choe said at the end of the excerpt.
“She’s definitely not into it,” he said during an earlier part of the story.
A month after making the comments, Choe claimed on his old website that it was a story he made up for his so-called art.
“I never thought I’d wake up one late afternoon and hear myself called a rapist. It sucks. Especially because I am not one. I am not a rapist.” Choe wrote.
“I am an artist and a storyteller and I view my show [“DVDASA”] as a complete extension of my art. If I am guilty of anything, it’s bad storytelling in the style of douche. Just like many of my paintings are often misinterpreted, the same goes with my show. The main objective of all of my podcasts is to challenge and provoke my friends and the co-stars on the show.”
