Rihanna reached out to the Memphis star via IG DM with a playful question. Hmm, about her next project’s release date.

Rihanna kind of had the hilarious audacity to ask, “You got all summer sis! I know dis wild hypothetical, but when the album drop?” 

Fans, being overly sensitive fans, were a bit more concerned with the long gestating drop of Rihanna’s own album, R9, than that of Glo’s debut body of work.

ICYMI, back in June, Rihanna ignited excitement about her ninth studio album by wearing a T-shirt that read, “I’m Retired. This Is As Dressed Up As I Get.” Although it might have just been a vintage fashion statement, it led to speculation among fans. Rihanna later clarified to Extra, “They didn’t read the second line. I’m not retired, I’m just retired from dressing up — it’s a lot of effort.”

If you’re curious, the tee, according to Vogue, is from Peacock Papers, a brand known for its eye-catching slogans on apparel.

Get this, the 36-year-old told Entertainment Tonight that she’s “starting over” with her music. “I don’t want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I’m still in love with,” she explained.

She went on to add, “I think that music, for me, is a new discovery. I’m rediscovering things. I have been working on the album for so long that I kinda put all that stuff aside and now I’m prepared to go back in the studio. I’m gonna start. Give me a second!”

So who cheated on Kehlani and why was the affair “diabolical?” During an interview with Nessa on Hot 97, Kehlani opened up about their new song Better Not from the album Crash and recounted a shocking incident involving an ex. 

Get this, Nessa described the track as “alarming,” referencing the lyrics: 

“I almost died the night when I caught you in somebody’s Benz (Ooh, ooh) / I better not catch you doing that sh”t again / And you’re not wrong, ’cause you’re not mine / I would choose this dance with you in every life / Though we’re just a little more than friends / I better not catch you doing that sh”t again.”

I mean the bars are kind of alarming …

When asked about the craziest thing they’ve ever witnessed, Kehlani shared a startling experience: 

“This is actually psychotic. It’s actually diabolical. I found a stack of Polaroids of all the women that he cheated on me with. He was keeping them in Polaroid form in his travel bag,” they revealed to Nessa.

Here’s where it gets weird. 

Kehlani explained that they discovered the Polaroids while trying to clean up during a trip out of town. 

“I was putting things away,” they said. In fairness, at the time, Kehlani was just 19 or 20 years old and reacted differently than they would today. “I was not the girl I am today that would be like, ‘Yo. Wow.’ I was definitely like, ‘Oh my God. Terrifying.’ And I threw them away. He never mentioned it to me and I never said anything. But there were crazier things that happened in that situation, so it checks out.”

The rant followed Antney’s recent interview, where she claimed to have tried to mediate the longstanding feud between Minaj and Lil Kim without Minaj’s knowledge or consent.

In the interview, Antney shared, “I think that we all would love to see that but people would have to be willing to do that. And to be perfectly honest with you, and [Nicki Minaj] gonna kill me for saying even this, but I did reach out to Kim.”

Minaj responded to Antney’s comments with a lengthy and impassioned post on X. “Isn’t it funny how you left out the biggest part of the story?” she began. “I didn’t ask you to do a THING! Sexyy Red’s 2024 BET Awards Performance Looked Presidential Plus Wardrobe Malfunction

Sexyy Red, performed at the 2024 BET Awards. The 26-year-old, “We Go Together” rapper kicked off her set with “U My Everything,” although the track features Drake, he didn’t make a surprise appearance. Dripped in striking red she was flanked by a live band and dancers in red dresses.

The performance then transitioned into her 2023 hit “SkeeYee,” then things got presidential as the “Sexyy Red For President 2024” emblem lit up the stage floor. She serious, ya’ll. 

About that wardrobe malfunction … During her set, fans posed on social to “fire her team” when her shorts had an issue after her outfit change. In the moment, Sexyy Red barely let it affect her as she rapidly zipped the shorts as she ran down the stage. Even unbuttoned, she barely missed a beat and twerked to the satisfaction of most of the crowd.

ICYMI, Sexyy Red has had a monumental year. Back in May, she released her latest mixtape, “In Sexyy We Trust,” featuring collaborations with Drake, Lil Baby, Mike WiLL Made-It, and VonOff1700. The project debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200, selling 27,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

Despite her rising popularity, Jermaine Dupri expressed his concern about her first-week sales, seeing them as indicative of negative industry trends. “People gotta stop lying,” JD told Steve Stoute at SelectCon in Atlanta. “The industry still tries to make you believe that if you’re a hot artist with a single, album sales don’t matter […] In the era that I came into the music industry if you sold 28,000 copies, you didn’t get another chance to walk in the building […] There’s such a disconnect between understanding streaming and what you’re actually looking at.”

Get this, outside of her recent BET performance and new music, Sexyy Red made her debut on WWE television at the end of May. She appeared on an episode of WWE NXT, where she unveiled the new WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship and announced her role as host for their Battleground event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. She also escorted WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans to their main event tag team match against the Scottish faction Gallus.

Tyla Performs ‘Jump’ with Gunna and Skikkibeng in Debut Performance at 2024 BET Awards

Grammy award winning, South African artist Tyla made her debut performance at the 2024 BET Awards, joining forces with “Jump” featured artists, Gunna and Skillibeng. 

In this performance which was a grand spectacle, Tyla brought the continent to the BET Awards. At just 22 years old, she performed at Culture’s Biggest Night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 30. She showcased her latest hit, “Jump,” featuring Gunna and Skillibeng.

She wore a brown two-piece bra and skirt set paired with black thigh-high boots, the “Water” singer captivated the audience from behind a cage filled with dancers painted as a giant tiger, a nod to her dedicated fanbase, the Tygers.

Get this, Gunna and Skillibeng later joined her onstage to deliver their verses. Tyla ended her set with her hit record “Water,” while paying homage to her Johannesburg roots.

ICYMI, Tyla earned four nominations at this year’s BET Awards, winning best new artist and best international act.

What interesting is her performance follows the cancellation of her debut concert tour, which was scheduled around the release of her self-titled debut album in March. At the time, she disclosed she was dealing with the lingering effects of an injury. Thankfully she looked A-okay on stage at the awards.

“As much as this is something I would rather have dealt with privately, it’s important that I share what I have to share with you today. For the past year, I’ve been silently suffering with an injury that has tragically worsened,” Tyla wrote. “I’ve seen doctors and specialists with high hopes, but the pain has only become more agonizing as has the severity of the situation.”

She added, “I am absolutely heartbroken to have to say this, but as of right now, I won’t be able to proceed with the tour. In consulting with medical professionals, it’s become increasingly clear that continuing any festival or tour dates would jeopardize my long-term health and safety.”

During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Tyla hinted at what fans could expect from her tour when she returns to the stage. “Obviously, what happened unfortunately happened, but the plans were there,” she said. “We were giving them an experience, not just a show, which I love. We always try to do things that are different and more interesting, or things that I feel people would want to see. That’s definitely going to be a part of the planning when we do get back to working on the tour. We have so many ideas, and it’s just going to be amazing.”

Back in February, Tyla won her first Grammy Award for best African music performance for “Water,” her breakthrough hit that reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Safe to say she’s hot and has the momentum.

Reflecting on the “surreal” moment, she told PEOPLE, “Hearing my name, being able to get on that stage and say a whole speech was crazy, especially considering my age and how early I am in my career. I didn’t expect that honestly, but I’m just so grateful that it happened. It’s history. It’s such a big moment for home. I couldn’t be happier, really.”

“Jennifer Lopez’s presence the night of the shooting incident and then departing in the same vehicle as Combs makes her a witness with firsthand knowledge and could subject her to being subpoenaed to testify under oath,” New York lawyer Pete Gleason told In Touch Weekly. “If there are any criminal charges or civil claims not outside the statute of limitations, this would likely prove problematic for Lopez.”

Tinashe Announces Release Date For ‘Quantum Baby,’ Drops New Song ‘Getting No Sleep’

Tinashe just announced that her new album, “Quantum Baby”, will be released on August 16 via Nice Life Recording Company. Can we all be happy for this? We are TBH.

Get this, ”Quantum Baby” is the second part of a trilogy, following 2023’s “BB/ANG3L”. Tinashe describes the new album as a deeper exploration of herself as both a person and an artist: “Quantum Baby is about getting to know me on a deeper level. It’s about exploring who I am as a person and who I am as an artist,” she explains. She adds, “I’ve never been one to be put into a box, so the name Quantum Baby encompasses all the different parts that make up who I am as a creative.”

ICYMI, leading the album is Tinashe’s viral hit “Nasty,” currently at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100. 

The second single, “Getting No Sleep,” was released today (June 28). Co-written with producers Nosaj Thing and Billy Lemos, the song drops lyrics like, “Feels Friday like, different night, same vibe / Take you outside, movie scene every time / Flick me up, I’m fitted up, so pretty, no bad side / Not a dog, but it’s in me, taking shots like I’m Lindsay.”

So reflecting on her previous album, “BB/ANG3L”, Tinashe comments that it was inspired by the concept of identity. “For BB/ANG3L, I was very inspired by the concept of identity. Exploring both how I self-identify and also challenging the perceptions of others,” she explained. “I believe how we identify in this world is ultimately our own personal choice; and I’ve enjoyed stripping back layers of aesthetic fluff, smoke & mirrors, and white noise to get down to the core of myself. Who we are at a core level, when we are alone – raw & unfiltered, is what I want this album to reflect.”
