Here Are The Music Midtown Set Times For 2023

Music Midtown will stage its annual festival at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia from Friday, September 15, to Sunday, September 17, and six headliners are coming to town: Pink, Flume, Billie Eilish, The 1975, Guns N’ Roses, and Lil Baby.

The festival released the weekend’s full schedule on August 30, giving attendees plenty of time to plan.

On September 15, doors will open at 5 p.m. local time. Only six acts will perform on opening night. Skaiwater will start everything off from 5:15-5:45 p.m., followed by Leah Kate (5:45-6:30 p.m.), JID (6:30-7:30 p.m.), Pitbull (7:30-8:30 p.m.), and Flume (8:30-9:30 p.m.). Pink’s set is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.

Doors will open at 11 a.m. local time on Saturday and Sunday alike. All four stages will be functioning on Saturday, September 16, featuring the likes of Niall Horan (6-7 p.m.), Fletcher (7-8 p.m.), Destroy Lonely (7-8 p.m.), and Louis The Child (8-9 p.m.) ahead of headlining performances from The 1975 (8-9:30 p.m.) and Eilish, who will take the Venmo stage at 9:30 p.m.

The final day will welcome JP Saxe (2:30-3:30 p.m.), Masego (3:30-4:30 p.m.), Tove Lo (4:30-5:30 p.m.), GloRilla (5:30-6:30 p.m.), Incubus (5:30-6:30 p.m.), Young Nudy (6:30-7:30 p.m.), and The Garden (6:30-7:30 p.m.) before headlining sets from Lil Baby (7:30-8:45 p.m.) and Guns N’ Roses, who are slated for 7:30 p.m.

The set times for Glastonbury Festival 2023 have been announced, nearly a month before the five-day festival is due to return to its home at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, England on June 21-25. This year’s headliners include Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses, and a special, farewell performance from national treasure Elton John. Further highlights of the event include Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Wizkid, Lana Del Rey, Queens Of The Stone Age, Kelis, Loyle Carner, Christine And The Queens, Phoenix, Fatboy Slim, Rick Astley, and more.

With eleven stages and related events taking place in the surrounding area beginning Wednesday before the festival proper, there is plenty to do for the weekend, and Glastonbury’s website has a full list of just about every official event/set on its website now. In addition to the main festival stages, a sidebar includes links to all of the venues hosting Glastonbury artists as the utterly sprawling festival takes over Pilton.

One artist who won’t be making an appearance is Slowthai, who was dropped from the lineup following news he’d been accused of sexual assault, while the festival’s organizers addressed the festival’s dearth of female headliners shortly after announcing the lineups this year. “We’re trying our best so the pipeline needs to be developed,” said co-organizer Emily Eavis. “This starts way back with the record companies, radio. I can shout as loud as I like but we need to get everyone on board. It’s top of our agenda, and it probably makes it a bit harder because we’ve decided to make that important to us. To be honest, sometimes it’s easier to keep your head down.”

Eazy-E Collab With Guns N’ Roses Reportedly Exists

It has been three decades since Eazy-E passed away. Still, it seems like new information regarding the late legend’s career comes to light every few days. The rapper was just 30 years old at the time of his passing in 1995. Not long before his death, Eazy publicly revealed that he had contracted HIV/AIDS. He was hospitalized for complications stemming from the disease. Shortly thereafter, he passed away. It was a huge loss for the culture, but Eazy’s influence is felt to this day. In fact, three decades after his death, the legend is still making headlines.

Many things about Eazy’s past have been called into question in recent years – even the cause of his death. His daughter revealed in 2021 that she was working on a documentary about the circumstances around his passing. The four-hour documentary was titled The Mysterious Death of Eazy-E. In the documentary, the reason for Eazy’s death was the subject of much debate. Some allege that the rapper was purposely exposed to the virus. Some, like Too $hort, don’t think that Eazy died of HIV/AIDS at all. If it was different than what was reported, we may never know the truth of his death. Still, some seem keen to share new information about Eazy at every turn. More previously unknown information about his career has come to light recently by way of friends and collaborators.

Eazy-E’s Unreleased Music

In a recent interview with Rock The Bells, Eazy-E’s childhood friend Arnold “Bigg A” White revealed that the rap legend had quite a bit of unreleased music. “There is unreleased music still out there,” said White. “We know for a fact that he had two or three or four reels in his car when he went to the hospital.” He went on to talk about what might have been on the lost reels, which may surprise some fans. “He had songs with Slash from Guns n’ Roses,” he said.

White is not Eazy’s only childhood friend talking about the rapper. Keefe D revealed in a VladTV interview that Eazy was actually approached to join Death Row Records before Dr. Dre. However, because Eazy-E already established a name for himself at the time, he didn’t think it was a good idea to be doing business with people who were incarcerated. “Once the phone call went dead, Eazy showed up to my house 30 minutes later,” Keefe recalled, “He like, ‘Dude, them dudes in jail and I’m already established.’” What do you think about all of the new information being revealed about Eazy? Glastonbury’s Co-Organizer Addressed The Lack Of Female Headliners In The Just-Announced 2023 Lineup

Earlier today (March 3), the headliners for this year’s Glastonbury festival was revealed, and leading the iconic UK event are Elton John, Arctic Monkeys, and Guns N’ Roses. After the reveal, Glastonbury co-organizer Emily Eavis spoke about this year’s all-male headliners (although female musician Melissa Reese joined Guns N’ Roses in 2016).

She described the situation as a “pipeline” issue, saying to The Guardian, “We’re trying our best so the pipeline needs to be developed. This starts way back with the record companies, radio. I can shout as loud as I like but we need to get everyone on board.” She added, “It’s top of our agenda, and it probably makes it a bit harder because we’ve decided to make that important to us. To be honest, sometimes it’s easier to keep your head down.”

On the female headliner front, things are expected to look better next year: Eavis says they’re anticipating having two female headliners, with one confirmed and one nearly confirmed.

The full lineup is not yet here, but as The Guardian notes, there is diversity among the 54 acts listed on today’s poster: 52 percent of them are male and 46 percent are non-white or feature non-white members. Eavis noted she’s “entirely focused on balancing our bill,” adding, “It’s not just about gender, it’s about every aspect of diversity. […] We’re probably one of the only big shows that’s really focused on this.”

Bottlerock Announces Foo Fighters, Stevie Nicks, And Guns N’ Roses As 2021 Headliners

Slowly but surely, the live music industry is returning to normal. Artists are announcing tour dates and festivals are planning to go ahead with their 2021 events after canceling or postponing in 2020. Even just today has been big for festival news: Pitchfork Music Festival unveiled a big 2021 lineup this morning, and now so too has Bottlerock.

The Napa, California music, wine, food and brew festival is set to return this year, on the weekend of September 3 to 5. Foo Fighters, Stevie Nicks, and Guns N’ Roses have been tapped to headline the weekend. Elsewhere on the poster, rounding out the lineup are Miley Cyrus, Megan Thee Stallion, G-Eazy, Run The Jewels, Brandi Carlile, Cage The Elephant, Portugal The Man, Young The Giant, Maren Morris, Black Pumas, Future Islands, James Murphy (DJ Set), Jimmy Eat World, Finneas, Polo G, Jack Harlow, Jessie Reyez, Dominic Fike, Chromeo, Mavis Staples, Jon Batiste, Kota The Friend, Village People, Hamilton Leithauser, Joywave, Big Freedia, and Meg Myers, among others.
