Boosie Badazz Had Bond Doubled Before Jail Release

Boosie Badazz left a San Diego jail on June 23 after making bond on the federal felony gun charges he was facing. Boosie celebrated by live streaming and asking for tickets to the BET Awards. However, the moment was the end of a long ordeal for the rapper.

Prosecutors appealed a $50K bond granted to Boosie on June 20. Boosie called this decision discriminatory, stating that the prosecutor was “racist and has evil intentions.” Calling on “prayer warriors” to descend on San Diego, Booise expressed fear that someone was trying to keep him behind bars.

Unfortunately for Boosie, the appeal was upheld and the rapper was issued a modified bond on June 23. While that did not prevent him from leaving jail, it did set him back double what he was due to pay just three days prior.

Boosie Released On $100K Bond

Per TMZ, Boosie’s new bail was set at $100K. The new bail is double the original amount. Increased bond amounts typically relate to a higher risk that an individual poses to the wider community.

Despite this, Bossie claims that the prosecution “showed no evidence of me being a flight risk or a danger to the community.” This appears to reinforce the rapper’s notion that for some reason, the prosecution were eager to keep him behind bars.

While he is out of jail, the gun charges still remain. It’s unknown when Boosie will have to return to court on the charges. However, his attorney claims that her client is innocent and looks forward to seeing the federal charges thrown out. Boosie was initially arrested for the federal charges on the same day that state charges against him were dismissed.

YNW Melly Murder Trial Gets Another Twist

Before finding himself in jail, Boosie had been helping the defense team representing rapper YNW Melly. Melly is facing a double murder charge and has had a very memorable trial so far.

However, the latest twist came not from the rapper, but from the prosecution. They allege that Melly had texted his mother, asking her to buy him a firearm. “Get a Glock ASAP…Like go now” YNW urged her. “Ok, what’s wrong? I got your .45,” she wrote back. “I just don’t want no illegal gun. Well dats not illegal,” the recording artist responded. He also added that he wanted a “Glock 40 or 19” in subsequent texts.

While the trial is ongoing, many believe that it is heading south for the rapper. He could face up to life in prison for the charges if found guilty. However, that is a developing story and any updates will be found here on HotNewHipHop.

Although, his appearance in court proved to be controversial as some of the victims’ families felt upset by his support for an alleged murderer.

Subsequently, Boosie flew all the way to San Diego so that he could partake in a hearing for a gun case. The artist has previously been arrested for gun possession in the city, and on Wednesday, he had the case dismissed. Boosie Badazz Tweets Mysterious Message To Children After Arrest

Rapper Boosie Badazz was arrested today according to a spokesperson from the San Diego County District Attorney’s office. The spokesperson stated that Boosie was in court for a recent gun case, which was ultimately dismissed. However, following his court appearance, federal agents arrested Boosie outside the courtroom. The exact reason for his arrest remains unclear at this time. Last month, Boosie pleaded not guilty to the charges he was facing.

During the hearing, Boosie faced multiple gun-related charges. They included felon in possession of a firearm, concealed carry weapon in a vehicle, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and being an unlisted owner of a registered firearm. If convicted, Boosie could have faced a maximum sentence of three years in prison. After his initial arrest, he was released on bond. Luckily, as we know, those charges were dropped. However, Boosie apparently has to deal with a new set of unknown charges following his most recent arrest. It is worth noting that during a performance in San Diego, Boosie encouraged his fans to chant derogatory remarks towards the San Diego police.

Boosie’s Cryptic Tweet

On June 14, TMZ reported on Boosie and his court hearing for the previous gun case in San Diego County. The good news, as we now know, was that the gun case was dismissed. Sadly, Boosie’s new legal issue is now pending. TMZ did not provide details about the reason for his arrest or the charges he may be facing. They simply stated the circumstances leading up to the arrest were unknown. Boosie is no stranger to run-ins with the law, but this is not something that anyone seems to have known about.

Boosie’s tweet following the arrest by federal agents only made the situation seem even more dire. In response to TMZ’s report, Boosie took to Twitter to address the situation and apologize to his kids. He wrote, “I WANNA TAKE THIS TIME TO APOLOGIZE TO MY KIDS, IM SORRY AND I LOVE YALL FOREVER,” accompanied by a praying hands emoji. A tweet like this can definitely be cause for concern, particularly coming from Boosie Badazz. Stay tuned to HNHH for all the latest updates on the rapper’s arrest. Boosie Badazz Pleads Not Guilty To Gun Charge

Lousiana rapper Boosie Badazz appeared in court yesterday, where he pleaded not guilty to a gun-related charge. The court hearing took place in San Diego, where the rapper caught the charge when filming a music video with Bully Three earlier this month. According to reports, he was taken to a San Diego County jail and hit with a total of four charges on May 6, 2023.

The charges include felony in possession of a firearm and concealed carry weapon in a vehicle. He was also charged for possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and unlisted owner of a registered firearm. Another person who was arrested alongside the rapper wasn’t charged in relation to the incident. While playing a show in San Diego before appearing in court, Boosie sent a message to police, telling them, “Suck my dick.” He also encouraged his audience to chant “f*ck San Diego police.”

Boosie’s Previous Run-In With The Law

Last month, N.O.R.E. gave props to Boosie along with T.I. for reconciling. He shared in a podcast, “I know that you could have went to war.” Adding, “Y’all could have just done a whole bunch of tremendous crazy shit.” He went on to commend the two artists for “[showing] that two Black men can get together and talk it out.” Adding, “A disagreement doesn’t always lead to y’all fighting and shooting,” and, “I’m so tired of violence.”

The two rappers’ beef started in 2020, when Dwayne Wade shared his support for his transgender daughter, and Boosie shared that he didn’t agree with it on social media. He was quickly met with responses calling him transphobic. T.I. chimed in, and also called the rapper out. It’s continued over the years with various social media back-and-forths and diss tracks. The most recent beef between the rappers began in February when Boosie called T.I. a “rat.” In August of 2022, Boosie was pulled over by police when he began to film the incident. He said, “They got me pulled over again, so I’m finna perform a concert in front the police.” After finding a small bag of weed in his vehicle the police let him go. He later apologized on social media, saying “I lost my cool this morning.”

Boosie Badazz To Cops After Arrest: “Suck My D*ck”

Boosie Badazz had some choice words for the San Diego police last weekend. According to reports, the Baton Rouge rapper was arrested on Saturday and taken to San Diego County Jail. He was booked on four charges, all gun-related. These include possession of a firearm as a felon, having a concealed weapon in a vehicle, owning ammunition as a prohibited person, and being an unlisted owner of a registered firearm. The arrest happened while he was filming a music video with local rapper Bully Three, with whom he had previously collaborated on a song called “How You Wanna Play It?”. After being released on bond, Boosie performed in San Diego and encouraged fans to chant “f*ck San Diego police,” which was captured in a video of the crowd showing their middle fingers. Then, the rapper yelled into the mic, “Suck my d*ck, you b*tches.”

This isn’t Boosie’s first run-in with authorities. Last year, the rapper was pulled over for his window tints and a concealed tag. Then, the police found a large bag of weed in the car. “I can’t keep going through this though, bro,” he said to the cops at the time. “I just can’t, bro… don’t do no wrong… gotta go to y’all superiors and file charges, man. It’s harassment. It’s every day. I moved to the country to fucking live, bro. I did six years on my back.”

Boosie’s New Lease On Life

Despite his not-so-ideal weekend arrest, Boosie has had a new lease on life recently. The Baton Rouge rapper just announced that he is cancer-free. Sadly, the rapper’s joy was cut short by some unfortunate news that he received at the same time. In the same tweet, Boosie revealed that his cancer doctor had passed away since their last meeting. It is not clear how long it had been since Boosie last saw his doctor. Still, the fact that he was not informed of his passing until after his recovery is certainly a difficult pill to swallow.

Boosie also recently made a new friend. In a video posted on Boosie’s Instagram, he showed off his new pet: a tiny duckling. In the video, Boosie dubs the little guy “Lil Boosie” and “Boosie The Duck.” He calls the animal the newest addition to the estate and tells him how much he loves him. He then helps him into the pool so he can swim around. For a rapper who often puts on a very tough outward appearance, it was surprisingly wholesome. What do you think of Boosie’s choice words for San Diego PD? Let us know in the comments!

Boosie Reportedly Arrested In San Diego On Gun Charges

It looks like Boosie just found himself in some trouble outside of his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to recent reports. Moreover, records from the San Diego Country Sheriff’s Department indicate that authorities recently arrested the rapper on gun charges. While it’s unclear if he was able to secure bail money or resolve the issue quickly, it’s an unfortunate development amid otherwise positive news from Boosie. For example, he recently revealed that he’s officially cancer-free, a milestone anyone should celebrate. Of course, this is still a developing story, so perhaps the coming weeks will illuminate it more.

Another interesting headline that the “Nasty Nasty” MC recently brought about was his squashed beef with T.I. “It just went like two bosses of handling it, man,” Boosie revealed to VladTV. For those unaware, the two Southern rappers fought over the Atlanta native’s alleged snitching claims and the cancellation of a joint album. “First of all, we got kids who love each other. First we wasn’t agreeing and we was going back-and-forth and you know he spoke how he felt and I spoke how I felt. He felt me and I felt him. I gave him an apology.”

Boosie Reported To Have Been Arrested In San Diego

“After we kept going back-and-forth, the things he was doing for me in my life at the time, I kinda felt bad,” Boosie went on. “I kinda felt bad he was doing some real s**t helping me in a lot of ways but I told him I still stand on what I stand on. When he explained it to me, we got by it. We got by like bosses supposed to get by. We ain’t let the internet or none of that bring us out of character.”

Meanwhile, the 40-year-old might be more well-known for his antics than his new music nowadays, but the conversation keeps his expansive legacy in rotation. Still, it’s been fun to see him enjoy the smaller things in life, like getting a pet duck, even if his more controversial statements are less entertaining. Regardless, time will tell how he will handle this recent arrest and what ramifications it might pose. For the latest news and updates on Boosie, return to HNHH.

Mozzy Reportedly Released From Jail

Last year in July, Mozzy turned himself in on federal gun charges and began serving his one-year-sentence. While many believed that this meant he would see release in July of this year, recent reports indicate that the Sacramento, California native is out sooner than expected. Moreover, jail records from the USP Atwater Prison indicate that authorities actually released the rapper around three days ago as of writing this article (ergo, Thursday, May 4). While not many details emerged around his release since then, this should be promising and happy news for him, his loved ones, and fans.

Despite serving time behind bars, the 35-year-old continued to release new music to hold fans over. His most recent release, which dropped earlier in April of this year, was the Kollect Kall EP, boasting six new tracks. Furthermore, Mozzy tapped YFN Lucci, Baby Money, E MOZZY, and Celly Ru as featured guests on the short but sweet project. In addition, he also provided a few guest appearances, singles, and more while completing his sentence. Now that he’s reportedly out of prison, fans should expect even more from the “Famous (I’m The One” MC.

Jail Records Point To Mozzy’s Early Release

For those unaware, Mozzy is a signee to Yo Gotti’s record label, CMG, as of February of last year. “Welcome to the Family @mozzy,” the Memphis magnate wrote on Instagram upon the partnership’s announcement. As such, he formed part of many releases from the CMG camp in the months that followed, which will surely rise exponentially in the coming year. Even if it doesn’t, the increased visibility that such a signing provided keeps his name well within conversation, and all he needs is some hits to solidify it. “COCAINE MONEY GANG,” Mozzy shared in a post of his own. “Appreciate the opportunity. Big dawg.”

With an official CMG chain bestowed upon him, his sentence dampened what was shaping up to be a promising career. Regardless, the rapper did his time with a lot of diligence and dignity, as it’s not easy to turn yourself in like that. Hopefully the next few months see him reconnecting with family, working hard on his goals, and reentering the rap world with a vengeance. For more updates and the latest news on Mozzy, keep checking in with HNHH.

Lil Tjay’s Lawyer Claims Arrest Rumors Are False

In January 2023, Lil Tjay was arrested en route to a filming session with Ice Spice. Arrested during a traffic stop in Brooklyn, police claim they found a handgun in the vehicle, leading to Lil Tjay’s detention on a possession charge. His attorney, Dawn Florio, claimed that the gun found did not belong to the rapper. Furthermore, she claimed the traffic stop itself was illegal. The whole incident led to further controversy, as Lil Tjay was re-arrested after a courtroom blunder overlooked his arraignment and bail filing.

Gossip once again arose on May 5, when reports surfaced that Lil Tjay had been booked on a weapons charge in Bergen County, New Jersey. According to recentlybooked.com, Lil Tjay was booked for the unlawful possession of a firearm without a permit. However, his lawyer has issued a statement to clear up any confusion.

Florio Claims Lil Tjay Turned Himself In And Was Not Arrested

After the reports began to circulate that Lil Tjay had been arrested prior to his booking in New Jersey, Dawn Florio addressed the rumors. “This arrest is not a new gun charge.” Florio told nydrilloffical via DMs, “He had to turn himself in for the case where he was a victim where he was shot multiple times.” As for why he was booked despite being the alleged victim, Florio’s message continued. “The allegation is that there were guns in the car.”

Florio made reference to a June 2022 incident in Edgewater, New Jersey. Lil Tjay was reportedly shot seven times during a botched robbery in the riverside town. The rapper underwent surgery and made a successful recovery from the incident. However, it appears that he earned criminal charges from the incident. Similar to his January arrest, it appears the charges stem from the possession of a firearm without a license. The legality of the situation is interesting. Even though this incident predates the January arrest, only turning himself in now technically makes it a second offense. While the fact that the incidents happened in two states, New Jersey takes firearm offenses fairly seriously. According to New Jersey state law, unlawful possession of a firearm carries a sentence of three to five years. However, any updates in this case will be found here on HotNewHipHop.

LA Rapper MoneySign Suede Killed In Prison

Los Angeles-based rapper MoneySign Suede has been killed. The rapper, whose real name was Jaime Brugada Valdez, was only 22 years old. He was serving a prison sentence for gun charges. According to reports, Suede was stabbed to death while taking a shower. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) released a statement about the incident. In it, they said that Suede was found unresponsive with injuries indicating a homicide. His attorney, Nicholas Rosenberg, who was notified on Tuesday evening of the news, expressed shock. According to him, the rapper was well-liked. He had, however, he had previously been attacked while in prison. “They said it was a stabbing to the neck,” Rosenberg said. “They said they’re investigating.”

For the time being, the correctional facility said it is limiting prisoners’ movement within the prison in order to aid the investigation. In the facility where Suede was incarcerated, there were more than 4,000 other inmates. That number comprised both minimum and medium security prisoners. No leads have been released as of yet, so there is very little indication of who might have wanted Suede dead.

Suede Had Been Sentenced To 32 Months

According to reports, MoneySign Suede was serving a 32-month sentence at the facility for gun charges. The LA Times spoke to another inmate at the facility after the incident who asked to remain anonymous. However, he was able to give some insight into the atmosphere after the stabbing. The prisoner said that the news began to spread early Wednesday morning. In response, parts of the facility were shut down and breakfast was delayed. According to the unnamed inmate, Suede was housed in the general population, which is unusual for a popular rapper.

MoneySign Suede’s rise to fame started when he was just 18 years old. His track “Back To The Bag” earned him quite a bit of attention. Eventually, he ended up signing with Atlantic Records. Last September, Suede released his latest album Parkside Baby. Unfortunately, no one had any idea the record would be his last. Stay tuned for more updates about MoneySign Suede’s tragic passing.
