Juelz Santana Teases Song With Joyner Lucas Off Forthcoming Gangsta Grillz Mixtape

Juelz Santana is gearing up to drop his highly-anticipated Gangsta Grillz mixtape, We In Motion, sometime later this year.

In order to promote the project, the Harlem native took to his Instagram account on Thursday (January 5) to hype it up. Playing a snippet of what’s assumedly the beat for a collaborative track with Joyner Lucas, he doesn’t hold back in sharing his excitement.

“Santana and Joyner Lucas. I’m not even gon’ say no other names. O.M.G. We In Motion on the f*cking way,” he exclaims as the drill beat plays in the background. Considering he’s not mentioning the names of any other artists, it will certainly be interesting to see who else will be featuring on the tape.

The Dipset rapper announced the new mixtape in an Instagram post on Christmas Day. It’s set to serve as his first full-length offering following his release from prison in August of 2020. The Harlem native was behind bars for a year and a half on gun charges.

It’s been nearly three years since we last got a full-length project from the 40-year-old. 2020’s #FREESANTANA boasts features from the likes of 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Jim Jones and more. It dropped while he was still serving his time in prison.

Furthermore, DJ Drama has certainly been busy lately. Last year alone, he hosted several projects, including Icewear Vezzo‘s latest offering, Paint the City and Jeezy‘s SNOFALL. Most recently though, he handles hosting duties on French Montana and his crew’s sixth instalment of their Coke Boys series.

Are you hyped for We In Motion to drop? Comment your thoughts on Juelz Santana seemingly getting ready to rap over a drill beat. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest music updates and releases.

French Montana Taps A$AP Rocky And Smooky Margielaa On “Chit Chat”

French Montana is back in action with the latest installment in the Coke Boys series.

The rapper came through with the latest project, boasting an array of features from Tory Lanez to Benny The Butcher and EST Gee. However, it’s his new collaboration alongside A$AP Rocky that has everyone talking.

The “Brotha Man” collaborators reunite alongside Smooky Margielaa for their new record, “Chit Chat.” Rocky helps ease the track in with a brief verse at the top of the record before Smooky Margielaa and French Montana delve into auto-tuned melodies over the flute-laden production.

Though Rocky’s appearance in brief, it’s a strong sign that he’s preparing to drop off his next album. In December, the rapper revealed that the album was practically complete during an Amazon Music Live concert series. Though he didn’t provide much information, he slid through with two features including a stand-out performance alongside the late Takeoff on Metro Boomin’s “Feel The Fiyaaaah.” On the same day, he dished out his latest single, “Shittin Me” for the Need For Speed soundtrack.

French Montana’s latest project comes months after he teamed up with Harry Fraud for Montega. However, Coke Boys 6 looks to highlight the new and revamped Coke Boys roster. The project includes a slew of appearances from Chinx, Cheeze, Max B, Vory, Rob49, and more.

This morning, French Montana’s video shoot in Miami Gardens was the target of a shooting that injured 10 people. Rob49 was among those who were hit during the shooting, though there hasn’t been any updates on his status yet.

French Montana Shares “Coke Boys 6” Tracklist Ft. A$AP Rocky, Nav & More

French Montana is less than 12 hours away from the release of Coke Boys 6. The project was initially set to drop in December but it ended up getting pushed back. So, when he shared a new release date, it was a surprise to find out that it would be a Gangsta Grillz tape.

This morning, French finally unveiled the tracklist for his upcoming effort, alongside the rest of the Coke Boys team. The sixth installment in the Coke Boys series will include 29 songs in total. As usual, the project will boast a slew of appearances from major acts, many that French developed a rapport with over the years.

Some of the names attached to the tracklist include A$AP Rocky, Vory, Rob49, Jeremiah, Benny The Butcher, EST Gee, Nav, King Combs and Kodak Black. However, the album is packed with guest appearances beyond French. The incarcerated Max B has two appearances on the tracklist. Meanwhile, the late Chinx will also have a moment to shine on Coke Boys 6. Obviously, the Bronx-bred rapper wants to use this opportunity to highlight his roster of artists.

Following the album’s release, French Montana will host signings in several cities across America, beginning in Miami on Jan. 6th. From there, he’ll head to Waterbury, CT, Philadelphia, PA, and Washington, DC.

Coke Boys 6 will be French Montana’s follow-up to 2022’s Montega, a joint effort with Harry Fraud. The short project felt like a return to form for French, especially with Fraud holding down the production side.

The last installment in the Coke Boys mixtape series arrived in 2020. On Coke Boys 5, French, once again, pulled the stars out including Lil Durk, NBA Youngboy, A$AP Rocky, and even a posthumous appearance from Pop Smoke.

We’ll see how Coke Boys 6 ends up panning out for French. Check out the full tracklist below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Pusha T And DJ Drama Revealed They Have A ‘Gangsta Grillz’ Mixtape In The Works

Fans of Pusha T and DJ Drama have received some exciting news this holiday season. Last night (December 23), the two confirmed that they are working on a mixtape for Drama’s iconic Gangsta Grillz mixtape series.

The two spoke in a Twitter Space last night, moderated by Rap Radar’s B. Dot, where they revealed the news.

Andrew Barber, of Chicago hip-hop blog Fake Shore Drive shared live updates of the Space chat via Twitter.

“Live from @bdotTM’s Twitter spaces, confirmed by @DJDRAMA & @PUSHA_T,” he said in a tweet in response to a fan asking for confirmation.

In a recent interview with XXL, Push teased the Gangsta Grillz mixtape, though, at the time, he didn’t indicate that it was part of Drama’s series. He is working on the mixtape in tandem with the album, and revealed that he is doing so in order to embrace creative freedom.

“What I’m trying to do is restore the feeling in every aspect of this subgenre of music,” he said. “And just of this cloth, of this taste level. I’m just trying to make people realize how viable this is. To show people that I can’t do what you do, but you definitely can’t do what I do. I have to show those differences. That’s the whole premise behind the mixtape.”

Pusha T & DJ Drama Announce “Gangsta Grillz” Mixtape In 2023

After a crazy year for hip-hop, some artists are making it clear that next year might be even better. Pusha T and DJ Drama announced that they will release a Gangsta Grillz project together in 2023. They spoke on Rap Radar’s Brian “B.Dot” Miller’s Twitter space to share the news. King Push also announced that he’s got a solo album on the way as well. As such, fans can’t wait for new music so soon after this year’s It’s Almost Dry

We still don’t have an audio clip from the space, i.e. any proof that they said this. However, many outlets on Twitter have corroborated the clip, including Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive. While some fans whined that Drama’s working with an older artist and not a new face… I mean, it’s Pusha T. How could it not be great? Many are also excited about the tape’s potential features and reunions, à la Clipse on It’s Almost Dry.

Although we’re still waiting on the 100% push from Push, it’s no wonder fans are so excited. DJ Drama worked on some of the greatest mixtapes of the 2000s with Pharrell, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, and many more. What’s more is that he’s still dropping projects today. He worked with Tyler, the Creator on CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST and with Icewear Vezzo for the recent Paint The City tape.

Meanwhile, Pusha T’s been quite busy as of late, too. Recently, his cover story with XXL gave us a lot of insight into his career movement. Moreover, he spoke on his relationship with Kanye West, an upcoming new album, and his evolved beef with Drake. Even with all that extra news surrounding him, he’s giving It’s Almost Dry its proper credit before the Grammys. As one of the best hip-hop albums of the year, which followed one of 2018’s best in Daytona, he’s bound to drop nothing but excellence.

Lil Wayne & DJ Drama Link Up After The Latter Teases New Album

2022 has proven to be yet another busy year for DJ Drama. After hosting Tyler, The Creator’s 2021 album-of-the-year candidate, CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, the rap game has seen a notable resurgence of projects hosted by the renowned music promoter.

He has continued to flood the streets with Gangsta Grillz mixtapes hosted and executive produced by him. Projects with his involvement include Snoop Dogg’s Gangsta Grillz: I Still Got It, Jeezy’s SNOFALL and Icewear Vezzo’s Paint the City.

Since November, Drama has been steadily hinting at dropping his own project. On November 10, he took to his Instagram account to share a series of photos of him in the studio.

Some of the pictures feature a tracklist on a whiteboard. Of course, he mostly hid the features with black scribbles. However, some names that are visible include Lil Uzi Vert, Jack Harlow and Lil Durk.

Projects from the “My Moment” hitmaker are always a star-studded affair. It appears as though his upcoming effort, seemingly titled I’m Really Like That, will be no different.

In an Instagram post from The Neighborhood Talk yesterday, the 44-year-old and Lil Wayne are seen linking up. It’s unclear at this time what exactly they were working on, but there is a mic in front of them.

Additionally, there’s a sign behind them that reads “DJ Drama’s.” The rest has been mysteriously blacked out.

Some fans took to the comments to predict that it’s simply another podcast episode. However, it’s worth remembering that the Generation Now co-founder remains in album mode.

The Philadelphia native’s last project of his own was 2016’s Quality Street Music 2. Boasting features from the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Post Malone and Young Thug, the mixtape kicks off with an intro from none other than Lil Wayne.

The duo has collaborated on a number of records in the past, also including 2007’s “Cannon Remix” and “Hot Wind Blows” from Tyler’s aforementioned 2021 album.

Whatever it is that they’re currently working on, we can only hope that we’ll see another feature from the “Lollipop” rapper on the tracklist.

Comment down below if you think we’ll see a collab between DJ Drama and Lil Wayne on the new album.

Icewear Vezzo & DJ Drama Tap Jeezy, Future & More On “Paint The City”

Icewear Vezzo is easily one of the hottest rappers out of Detroit right now and that’s due to his incredible output. After years of grinding, he landed a deal with Quality Control earlier this year and he’s been on go-mode ever since.

Earlier today, he unveiled his highly anticipated Gangsta Grillz mixtape alongside DJ Drama, Paint The City. The new project is undoubtedly a culmination of the respect that he’s gained in hip-hop this year. Icewear Vezzo connects with heavyweights on the tracklist, such as Jeezy, Future, Kodak Black and 2 Chainz. Additionally, Vezzo joins forces with frequent collaborators Peezy and GT. Paint The City brings Vezzo alongside some of his most frequent collaborators such as Antt Beatz, Foreva Rollin, June Da Genius, and Max Beats.

The latest effort from Icewear Vezzo comes months following the release of Rich off Pints 3, which earned critical praise across the board. Paint The City is a strong effort that certainly sets the stage for Icewear Vezzo’s 2023 run.

DJ Drama witnessed a resurgence in Gangsta Grillz tapes this year as a result of Tyler, The Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost. Even though 2021 saw the mixtape series regain popularity, he’s hosted projects by Symba, Dreamville, Jim Jones, and now, Icewear Vezzo.
