French Montana Reveals What The “Coke” In Coke Boys Really Means

During a recent episode of Fame & Flavor, French Montana revealed what the “coke” in Coke Boyz really stands for. He and food influencer Cugine prepared some black truffle mac & cheese in honor of the Moroccan-American rapper’s upcoming mixtape, Mac & Cheese 5. The eagerly-anticipated project is slated for release at the beginning of next year.

At one point in the cooking process, Cugine explained to French Montana that “farina” means “flour” in Italian. He also went on to ask the artist where he got the name Coke Boys. “Coke Boys stand for ‘Creation Of Kings Everywhere,’” he then stated. “You sure it’s not farina, farina?” Cugine asked, tapping his nose to insinuate it could actually mean cocaine. “Nah, nah,” French Montana replied. “No one’s being indicted here,” Cugine later added.

French Montana’s Jet Searched For Contraband In Colombia

Globally acclaimed rapper and hip-hop artist French Montana recently found himself in an unexpected situation during his visit to Colombia. He took to social media to share an intriguing video that captured the moment his private jet was subjected to a thorough search by Colombian authorities. In the video, French Montana humorously addressed the situation, stating, “Colombia, I love y’all, but y’all ain’t have to do me like this. You know we Coke Boys, but we ain’t Coke Boys like that.” The reference to “Coke Boys” is a nod to his rap group, but it also carries a connotation linked to the illicit drug trade, a common association with Colombia. In the video, French Montana seemed to take the incident in stride, expressing understanding while playfully making light of the situation. He even mentioned the state of strip clubs in the area, jokingly alluding to the reason for search.

“I know y’all seen the strip clubs all f**ked up,” he said. “They thought I was comin’ to save the streets bringing a big load.” Despite the lighthearted tone, he emphasized that the authorities found nothing illegal. “They ain’t find nothing though, we good!”

French Montana Made It Out OK

Social media users weighed in on the incident, with one individual commenting that French Montana appeared unusually pleased that the search took place, suggesting he might be seeking credit for his rap persona. The comment points to the often blurry line between an artist’s public persona and their real-life experiences. “He hella happy this happened, he tryna get some credit for his raps,” one person wrote.

Further, French Montana shared pics that depicted him standing alongside a narcotics dog and a security agent next to his private jet. The image added an element of authenticity to the situation. He posed for the pic, smiling wide. French Montana’s willingness to share the experience on social media demonstrates his transparency with his fans, showcasing both the humor and the reality of his life as a global celebrity.

French Montana Blamed By Police For Miami Shooting

On Thursday night (January 5), reports indicate that there was a shooting on the set of a music video. It was seemingly for French Montana and Rob49‘s new collab, “Igloo.”

Although, the “No Stylist” rapper says the event was instead just a celebration for his latest album, Coke Boys 6. 10 people were shot, including Rob49 himself and Montana’s bodyguard, who is reportedly in critical condition.

However, police are now blaming the 38-year-old for what transpired. Miami Gardens Police Chief, Delma Noel-Pratt says event organizers didn’t obtain the necessary permits. This is reportedly a violation of city policy.

“If the necessary agencies were notified ahead of time and protocol followed, police officers would have been in place to safeguard the community and assist with deterring and responding, if needed, to any situation that may arise,” says Noel-Pratt.

Furthermore, footage obtained by TMZ allegedly shows the Morocco native and others taking to a nearby KFC restaurant for cover. They reportedly stayed inside for 30-40 minutes, until cops arrived at the scene.

On Friday (January 6), the “Unforgettable” rapper took to his Twitter account to make a statement. Notably, he doesn’t mention anything about filming a music video. “Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape w/ friends at a local restaurant. We unfortunately were at the wrong place, at the wrong time when an incident took place that left people hurt. Our thoughts & prayers are w/ the victims & families at this time,” writes Montana.

Of course, the sixth instalment of the Coke Boys series did release yesterday (January 6). It boasts features from the likes of Kodak Black, Benny The Butcher, Stove God Cooks and more. DJ Drama takes care of the hosting duties, making it an official Gangsta Grillz mixtape. The Money Heist Edition also dropped, which contains nine extra songs.

TMZ also reports that all of the victims are expected to survive. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates.

French Montana Shares “Coke Boys 6” Tracklist Ft. A$AP Rocky, Nav & More

French Montana is less than 12 hours away from the release of Coke Boys 6. The project was initially set to drop in December but it ended up getting pushed back. So, when he shared a new release date, it was a surprise to find out that it would be a Gangsta Grillz tape.

This morning, French finally unveiled the tracklist for his upcoming effort, alongside the rest of the Coke Boys team. The sixth installment in the Coke Boys series will include 29 songs in total. As usual, the project will boast a slew of appearances from major acts, many that French developed a rapport with over the years.

Some of the names attached to the tracklist include A$AP Rocky, Vory, Rob49, Jeremiah, Benny The Butcher, EST Gee, Nav, King Combs and Kodak Black. However, the album is packed with guest appearances beyond French. The incarcerated Max B has two appearances on the tracklist. Meanwhile, the late Chinx will also have a moment to shine on Coke Boys 6. Obviously, the Bronx-bred rapper wants to use this opportunity to highlight his roster of artists.

Following the album’s release, French Montana will host signings in several cities across America, beginning in Miami on Jan. 6th. From there, he’ll head to Waterbury, CT, Philadelphia, PA, and Washington, DC.

Coke Boys 6 will be French Montana’s follow-up to 2022’s Montega, a joint effort with Harry Fraud. The short project felt like a return to form for French, especially with Fraud holding down the production side.

The last installment in the Coke Boys mixtape series arrived in 2020. On Coke Boys 5, French, once again, pulled the stars out including Lil Durk, NBA Youngboy, A$AP Rocky, and even a posthumous appearance from Pop Smoke.

We’ll see how Coke Boys 6 ends up panning out for French. Check out the full tracklist below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

French initially announced that the project would be dropping on Dec. 9th, 2022, but that didn’t end up happening. In addition to Coke Boys 6, Drama has a few other Gangsta Grillz tapes in the works including Juelz Santana’s We In Motion and an apparent mixtape with Pusha T. Last year, Drama teamed up with Dreamville, Symba, and more for their own installments in the Gangsta Grillz series.

We’ll keep you posted on these projects. For now, check out the trailer for French Montana’s Coke Boys 6. Sound off in the comments with the artists you’d like to see on French’s upcoming mixtape.
