Wu-Tang Clan’s RPG Xbox Game Gets New Details: Report

Wu-Tang Clan’s upcoming Shaolin video game from Brass Lion Entertainment will reportedly be “a third-person melee-oriented RPG complete with four-player co-op” for Xbox, according to new leaks reported from Insider Gaming. All nine members of the group will serve as playable characters. Additionally, Just Blaze will be helping with the soundtrack.

“Players can choose from four different weapons that all have different and unique play styles (single swords, dual swords, etc.),” the report reads. “Gathered loot and items all fit into the game’s central social hub, named the ‘Neighborhood.’ Here, players will be able to sell their loot, listen to music, and show off their unique fashion choices with one another.”

The new report on Wu-Tang Clan’s video game comes amid a big year for the group’s legacy. New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently declared November 9 in their honor, while they also celebrated the 30th anniversary of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The Library of Congress deemed that classic album “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” enough for preservation in the National Recording Registry, last year. Speaking about the honor at the time, RZA remarked: “I won’t say I was surprised, I was thankful. Look — this part will sound egocentric — but during the creation, I knew we were making something special. And that there would be an audience for it. For me, it [the album] didn’t exist and it needed to exist.”

In other video game news, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto 6, earlier this week, with a highly-anticipated trailer. Its predecessor arrived over a decade ago. Be on the lookout for further updates on Wu-Tang Clan’s upcoming Xbox video game on HotNewHipHop.

“Grand Theft Auto VI” Trailer: 5 Biggest Reveals

Rockstar Games has finally released the first look teaser trailer for the long awaited Grand Theft Auto VI. The game, which has been in development for a full decade, is set to take place in the fictional Florida locale of Vice City. From the first look, there seems to be plenty of oceanfront insanity for gamers to explore. With only 90 seconds of footage to analyze, fans of the GTA franchise have already begun performing a deep dive into the big reveals scattered throughout the teaser. Here are 5 of the biggest hints regarding what’s to come with the flagship franchise’s upcoming outing.

Read More:

5. Play As A Female Protagonist

Rumors have been circulating that Grand Theft Auto VI may feature a playable female character for some time now. The first teaser trailer seemingly reveals this to be true by introducing Lucia. Lucia looks to be engaged in a series of Bonnie and Clyde-style robberies with her male partner Jason. While gamers initially had negative reactions to the rumor of a female main character, the trailer seems to have gotten overwhelmingly positive responses from fans. Several GTA fans have even taken to social media to joke about the realities of playing as a woman in the mean streets of Vice City, and what that entails for style and gameplay options.

4. Vehicles For The Next Generation

In addition to a female lead, the trailer features a host of flashy classic cars. Vice City is rich with residents and visitors flexing their cash, and their hip tricked-out rides are no exception. Eagle-eyed viewers were able to catch glimpses of Porsches, Rolls Royces, and Pegassi Aventadors. Other interesting rides include boats, motorcycles, and even an airboat for cruising through the swamp. While each of these rides only received a moment in the spotlight, fans have already taken note. Soon enough we’ll be able to see if Grand Theft Auto VI truly lives up to its name by hot-wiring, repainting, and re-homing some of the finest rides available.

3. Alligators Are Going To Be A Problem

Grand Theft Auto VI‘s first trailer contains several shots of Florida wildlife invading public spaces. Previous installments of the series saw players taking on mountain lions, bears, and violent domestic dogs. With Rockstar’s latest outing, Red Dead Redemption 2, the game studio put a great deal of effort into adding grizzly bears, snakes, and many other animal assets, meaning the gators in GTA have the potential to be as violent and ever-present as any common gang banger.

2. Social Media Will Be A Focus

Games within the Grand Theft Auto franchise have always served as a satirical mirror to the ills of real life. Now, with social media being such a massive part of our day-to-day lives, it should come as no surprise that it will play a substantial role in Grand Theft Auto VI. When GTA 5 premiered back in 2013, it featured a mission that saw the player taking down a Facebook-style social media entity for political purposes, mirroring Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg’s pull in the political sphere. Now that TikTok has become the predominant app among young people, the trailer for GTA 6 has taken care to include plenty of shots replicating the vertical UI.

1. We’ll Have To Wait Until 2025 For The Full Game

Despite the long wait, it looks like Rockstar isn’t quite finished tweaking the fine details in Grand Theft Auto VI just yet. Fans were excited at the thought of a 2024 release date after waiting for more than a decade to play the game, but the trailer revealed a tentative date of 2025. Of course, more trailers and promotional material are sure to surface online throughout 2024. The build-up to GTA 6 has only just begun.

Elon Musk Says He Doesn’t Play “Grand Theft Auto” As X Begs Rockstar To Publish “GTA 6” Trailer On The Platform

As the trailer for GTA 6 dropped a day early this past Monday, Elon Musk revealed that it’s not a game series that he plays. “Tried, but didn’t like doing crime. GTA5 required shooting police officers in the opening scene. Just couldn’t do it,” Musk tweeted in reply to another user saying they didn’t play the games. The response was widely mocked on the platform, with many people saying that Elon Musk was “a Drake type”.

However, Musk’s indifference to the series didn’t stop his beloved X from debasing themselves at the feet of the game’s developer, Rockstar. Rockstar was forced to release their trailer a day earlier due to an internal leak. However, X CEO Linda Yaccarino quickly made a post suggesting that Rockstar should directly upload the trailer to X to increase visibility. Rockstar would later do this, albeit with a boilerplate caption added. Despite this, fans were largely underwhelmed by the trailer. It was definitely more of a game reveal, giving off the vibes of the game’s Miami-esque setting and a vague release date of 2025.

Elon Musk And Tesla Facing Mass Strikes In Scandinavia

However, while Musk doesn’t enjoy breaking virtual laws, laws in the real world appear to be a very different matter. Tesla workers in Sweden have been on strike for six weeks after Telsa refused to sign a collective bargaining agreement with one of Sweden’s biggest unions. Things only got worse for Musk and Tesla as postal workers and dockworkers joined the striking mechanics. This essentially led to a blockade on the import of Teslas and Tesla products into Sweden.

Now, a plan to import the vehicles into Denmark and drive them across the border into Sweden has been scrapped. 3F Transport, one of Denmark’s biggest unions, has agreed to a solidarity strike with IF Metall. This means that a vast majority of Denmark’s truck drivers and dockworkers will refuse to accept Tesla deliveries earmarked for Sweden. Musk, who is famously anti-union, has called the strikes “insane” and has already filed several lawsuits in Sweden. “Even if you are one of the richest in the world, you can’t just make your own rules. We have some labor market agreements in the Nordic region. And you have to comply with them if you want to run a business here,” 3F Transport Chair Jan Villasden said.

When Does The Weeknd Come To ‘Fortnite?’

In recent years, Epic Games has really ramped up its efforts to strengthen Fortnite‘s chokehold on pop culture, in part through the use of music stars appearing in the game as playable skins or performers in special events and virtual concerts. Most recently, Ed Sheeran, Kid Cudi, and Eminem have all found their way to the island, and soon, they’ll be joined by The Weeknd, who’ll also perform in the upcoming Fortnite Festival game mode.

When Does The Weeknd Come To Fortnite?

In a new trailer released this week, the skin for Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, can be seen as the star performs in a virtual concert — as well gameplay for the rhythm-based Fortnite Festival mode a la Rock Band (whose developers also made the new game) or Guitar Hero — in two different incarnation. While his After Hours persona is quickly highlighted, it looks like the big feature is Abel’s more recent, MF DOOM-inspired tour look, complete with a glimmering chrome mask and a white, robe-like hoodie.

The trailer also reveals when he’ll be available in the game: December 9. Fortnite Festival launches the same day, allowing players to play in a band for and with their friends. It sounds like a cool expansion on the core gameplay, especially as Fortnite attracts a larger and larger audience (who may not all want to shoot each other all the time).

Check out the trailer for Fortnite Festival above.

The Weeknd To Headline “Fortnite’s” New “Festival” Game Mode: Watch Trailer

The Weeknd is easily the biggest artist in the entire world right now. Overall, it is wild to think about the moves he has made over the years. He started out as a singer from Toronto who at one time, was living on the street. However, thanks to projects like Trilogy, he was able to become a mysterious name in music. From there, he made Kissland, Beauty Behind The Madness, and a plethora of other chart-topping albums. His legend is cemented and fans are always stunned by his new joints.

He even went on a huge tour this year where he got to play in front of massive crowds. However, his biggest crowd is still yet to come. In fact, it will be here as of Saturday, December 9th when he performs in Fortnite. Eminem just performed in Fortnite for their end-of-chapter event. A new game mode has been added to the game called Fortnite Festival, and The Weeknd will be the very first performer. In the video below, you can find the trailer for the performance, which includes the song “Take My Breath.”

What is cool about this new experience is that it is developed by Harmonix who made Rock Band. Consequently, you will get to tap buttons on your controller to play along to the songs. Furthermore, there will be various options for gamers. For instance, some can play this solo, or they can form a band. Overall, it is an ambitious new game mode that can be played apart from the classic Battle Royale. Fortnite is also adding a Lego mode to the game, which shows you how much this whole thing is evolving.

Let us know if you will be watching this concert, in the comments section below. Also, tell us your thoughts on all of these cool additions, coming to Fortnite before the end of the year. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists.

Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer Released: Welcome To Vice City 2025

Just when you thought the gaming world couldn’t get any crazier, Rockstar Games dropped the bomb we’ve all been waiting for. The official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI. The anticipation had reached a high point after it was leaked on social media. But now, the cat’s officially out of the bag. And it’s bringing some serious heat. The trailer is a visual feast for GTA enthusiasts. Confirming what many had speculated, the game is indeed set in the iconic Vice City. However, Rockstar Games has thrown in a curveball by introducing the first-ever female protagonist to the series – meet Lucia. Starting off her journey in prison, Lucia’s sassy remark, “bad luck, I guess,” sets the tone for the rollercoaster ride that awaits players.

One standout feature is the game’s embrace of the digital age. The trailer offers glimpses of TikToks and live-streams. This signals that social media will definitely be integrated into this game. It’s a reflection of our modern, interconnected world. Crimes are committed not just on the streets but also captured in the virtual realm. As the trailer unfolds, Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road” plays in the background. Audiences then witness several criminal activities take place. Classic GTA vibes are present, with high-speed chases, heists, and everything that makes the franchise memorable.

GTA Returns To Vice City

And, of course, staying true to its Florida setting, there are alligators lurking in unexpected places. Characters are seen wrangling these alligators in various settings (pools, liquor stores, streets, etc). The trailer also provides a sneak peek into the dynamic between Lucia and a male character, hinting at a partnership that goes beyond crime – they seem to be lovers in addition to partners-in-crime. Lucia says towards the end: “The only way we’re gonna get through this is by sticking together and being a team.”

While the trailer leaves us on the edge of our seats, one crucial detail is still shrouded in mystery – the release date. The only nugget of information Rockstar Games dropped is that Grand Theft Auto VI is set to hit screens in 2025. As we buckle up for another wild ride through Vice City, one thing’s for sure – the wait is going to be agonizingly long for GTA fans worldwide. Stay tuned for updates, and in the meantime, watch the trailer above.

“GTA 6” Trailer Coming Next Week

The first trailer for GTA 6 will be released at 9am Eastern on December 5, Rockstar Games announced. The news comes after Rockstar teased the trailer’s release in early November. Now, nearly a month later, fans finally know when they need to set an alarm.

GTA 6 has been stuck in a secretive development cycle for many years now. This has frustrated loyal fans, with the massively popular GTA 5 now being a decade old. An early build of the game was leaked to social media last year. The leak led to some minor drama online. Many believed that the test build’s low-quality graphics were indicative of the final game. While the game’s release date is still unknown, fans may be given a better indication of the release cycle during the trailer next week.

GTA 6: What We Know

As mentioned, the development of GTA 6 has been incredibly secretive and many years in the making. The most recent reports suggest that the game will a female protagonist for the first time in the series’ history. Furthermore, it’s believed that the multi-protagonist mechanic from GTA 5 will also be returning. GTA 5 was the first game in the series to feature multiple protagonists, whom the player controlled in various missions as part of a wider, interconnected story. The leaks from last year appeared to show two protagonists – Jason and Lucia.

Furthermore, the game is believed to be set in Vice City, the GTA equivalent of Las Vegas. Previously, GTA 3 was set in Vice City in the late 1980s, meaning that players will be returning to a familiar location at a later point in its history, as GTA 6 is believed to be set in the modern day. Additionally, the leaks from last year appeared to show the inclusion of new stealth mechanics, a major shift for the franchise. There was also a significant improvement to AI pathing, especially in regard to when interacting with law enforcement. However, this is a developing story and we’ll have any updates and when they emerge.

An Eminem Fan Used His New ‘Fortnite’ Skins To Recreate The Famous ‘8 Mile’ Rap Battle In The Game

Fortnite players recently had a field day, after someone turned Eminem’s rap battle from 8 Mile into an actual in-game experience. Recently, the rapper collaborated with the video game to offer users the chance to play as him with new skins being added — and they sure got creative.

In the clip, Eminem faces off against Marvel’s The Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie, who was the same actor he rapped against in the actual movie. So, it’s close enough.

Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg, even gave his approval after replying to a Twitter post. “I mean… wow!” he wrote.

It’s also worth noting that the turnaround to do this was incredibly fast, as the Eminem skins only went live on Fortnite yesterday (November 29). This offered three choices of outfits for players, including one of him as Slim Shady, “a Rap Boy costume, and a Marshall Never More” one, according to HipHopDX.

“B just like me,” Eminem captioned with a preview of the Shady look on Instagram.

As a partner with the company, he will also be appearing at Fortnite‘s Big Bang event, where fans can catch a virtual concert — putting him among previous ones like Travis Scott and more.

Check out the Fortnite recreation of Eminem’s 8 Mile rap battle above.

Eminem “Fortnite” Skin Used To Recreate Iconic Rap Battle From “8 Mile”: Watch

An enterprising Fortnite player has utilized several in-game assets, including the recently released Eminem skin, to recreate the final rap battle from 8 Mile. In a video posted to social media, the player incorporates audio from the film over in-game footage of Eminem’s skin squaring off with Falcon from the MCU. Falcon is portrayed by Anthony Mackie, who also played Slim Shady’s opponent at the end of 8 Mile. The clip utilizes various emotes to add to the experience, and ends with Eminem killing Falcon with a shotgun.

The original TikTok has over 1.4 million views. Furthermore, the video on X, reuploaded by an Eminem fan account, has an additional 2.1 million views. While the video has been very well-received, it also garnered praise from a very high place. “I mean… wow!” wrote Paul Rosenburg in a quote tweet. Rosenburg is Eminem’s long-time real-life manager. The Slim Shady skin was released earlier this week and marks one of the final releases before the game transitions to its next update, “Chapter Five”. As part of the pre-transition “Big Bang” event, Eminem will be performing a virtual concert inside the game.

Eminem Soundtracks Call Of Duty Trailer

However, Fortnite is not the first video game that Eminem has been involved with this year. Back in October, Slim Shady’s iconic vocals could be heard in a trailer for the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The Detroit rapper’s 2002 hit “Till I Collapse” scored a cinematic trailer showcasing the ultra-cinematic violence of the game’s multiplayer mode. Furthermore, the trailer also confirmed the news that a host of iconic maps from the original Modern Warfare trilogy will be returning for this new Modern Warfare 3. However, it’s not the rapper’s first Call Of Duty collab. Back in 2013, he released the track “Survival” for Call Of Duty: Ghosts.

While old maps and fan-favorite modes are returning, Activision is trying a few new things with Modern Warfare III. One of the biggest additions will be Cutthroat, a 3v3v3 mode that is briefly featured and highlighted in the trailer. The new features will likely be highlighted in more detail at the October 5 multiplayer preview event. Meanwhile, the game will be released on November 10. Activision has previously confirmed that cosmetics and other purchases from Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 will carry over to the new game. The game released to mediocre reviews on November 10.
