It is almost always a bloodbath when the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers face off. While it has been a one-sided rivalry for quite some time, things have been more competitive as of late. There will continue to be no love lost between these opponents from a competitive standpoint. It was a physical game just last night as the Steelers picked up a much-needed victory, 26-22, after getting obliterated by San Francisco last weekend. For the Browns, they fell to 1-1, but the worst part of it all was losing their star, Nick Chubb.

Right near the start of the second quarter, the visiting Browns were driving. Down 3-7, they were just a few yards away from the endzone. On first and goal Deshaun Watson handed it off to Chubb, as he barrelled his way for a solid gain with Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick making the tackle. Nick Chubb’s Season Is Over After This Tragic Injury

As you can see in the slo-mo video above, Chubb’s left leg bends very aggressively, which left him in tons of obvious pain. According to TMZ Sports, as well as many others, Chubb will not be returning to the field this season. Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed it to reporters saying it was a “significant knee injury.” It was so hard to rewatch that ESPN announcers Joe Buck and Troy Aikman said they were not going to show it. Nick also wrecked the same knee back in his college days at Georgia. It is a heartbreaking end for a player who is so well-liked across the league. We send our thoughts to Chubb as he recovers.

Patriots Fan Killed Following Altercation During Dolphins Game

Tragedy has hit the NFL world as a Patriots fan was killed on Sunday. During the Patriots’ game against the Miami Dolphins, a fan by the name of Dale Mooney was being taunted by Miami Dolphins fans. According to Yahoo! Sports, the man was from New Hampshire and had driven to the game to watch it go down with some friends. His wife says she received word that he was catching grief from the Dolphins fans who were in his section. Subsequently, he was punched in the head by a Dolphins fan and was knocked unconscious.

Fans in the section filmed the altercation and were confused when Mooney wouldn’t get up. Eventually, they realized he was not breathing and they called for medical intervention. Parademics administered CPR and eventually brought him to the hospital, where he was declared dead. A witness told Boston 25 News about what he saw at the game. As you can imagine, it was all a harrowing experience for those involved.

Patriots Fan Dies In Tragic Way

“It looked like people grabbing and pulling at each other at first at some point in the guy in the Dolphins jersey punched the victim twice in the face and that’s when the victim fell into his seat unconsciousness,” said Joey Kilmartin a witness. “The guy in the Dolphins jersey got hauled away by police and that’s when everybody noticed something was wrong a minute or so later the guy still hadn’t made any movement it really didn’t look like he was breathing.”

Our heart goes out to Mooney’s family and friends during this very difficult time. Stadiums should be a whole lot safer for fans. Subsequently, he offered a video explanation of things that has some fans claiming he is not of sound body and mind right now.

Throughout the video, he claims that his mom had just retired and he thought she was on vacation. Moreover, he says the FBI and police came to his house. Much of what he said lacked coherence, and commenters on the video above are suspicious of what is happening. “Looking at his behavior here I’m certain he suffers from some form of mental disorder. I’m sure his mother tried to help him but sometimes their behavior is beyond anyone’s help,” one person said. “Everything is not CTE. Some people are just sick,” said another.

The NFL has a new theme for Monday Night Football, and it mixes eras, genres, and fanbases to create a new anthem. Moreover, Chris Stapleton and Snoop Dogg graced fans with a cover of the iconic Phil Collins track “In The Air Tonight” on Monday (September 18). The rendition also featured Cindy Blackman Santana on drums, and made for a pretty grand and unexpected collaboration. ESPN and ABC aired it before coverage of the New Orleans Saints versus the Carolina Panthers and the Cleveland Browns versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, respectively.

According to a press release, this will continue for all Monday Night Football games, plus ESPN‘s Week 18 Saturday Doubleheader, Super Wild Card, and its first Divisional playoff game. “It was fascinating to me to see how one song could get you in that mode to go kick some tail,” the Steelers’ Hines Ward told ESPN. “I don’t care if you are the home team [or] the away team. Sergio Brown, Ex-NFL Safety, Missing In Illinois, Mother Found Dead At Her Home

Police in Illinois are hoping to find former NFL safety Sergio Brown alive and well after Brown and his mother were reported missing earlier this weekend. Unfortunately, the hopes of law enforcement were dampened after they recovered the body of Brown’s mother, Myrtle, from a creek near her home. Furthermore, police have confirmed that they are treating the death as a homicide. The county medical examiner ruled that she “suffered multiple injuries during an assault”. However, other details about her death are yet to be determined by law enforcement. Myrtle’s sister told local media that she last spoke to her on September 14.

Brown went undrafted out of Notre Dame in 2010 but was signed as a free agent by the Patriots. He played 94 games in his career, primarily as a backup. As well as the Patriots, he spent time with the Colts, Jags, and Bills. He retired after the 2016 season. He finished his career with 144 tackles.

Sergio Brown Case – What We Know

Details are still emerging about the case surrounding Brown and his mother. Mrytle Brown was discovered unresponsive by a creek near her home in Maywood on September 16. The discovery of Myrtle came during a second and wider search for the pair, who had been reported missing earlier on Saturday. Brown’s whereabouts and last known location are unknown at this time. Maywood is about 12 miles west of downtown Chicago. Brown was born in the town and attended high school at Maywood Proviso East.

Furthermore, Brown’s brother Nick addressed the situation on Facebook. He called his mother “strong, caring, diligent, fancy, funny” and went on to remember her fondly. “Mom always told me, ‘tough times don’t last’ and our last conversation about tough times being temporary is my beacon of hope,” he wrote. He also told his brother that he loved him and wanted him to come home safely. Detectives asked anyone with information about his location to contact Maywood Police Investigations at 708-368-4131 or the Maywood Police Department anonymous tip line at 708-450-1787. Brown is listed as being 6″2 and weighing 207 lb.

Since the game doesn’t kick off till 8pm local time, that’s a lot of airtime to fill. So the various shows up in Boulder have been bringing out a lot of people to talk about how great Deion Sanders is. For College GameDay, who is in Boulder for the first time since the 90s, that pundit was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Already in Boulder for WWE SmackDown, The Rock was more than happy to join ESPN to discuss what Coach Prime has been doing at Folsom Field. “What Deion Sanders is doing right now — let’s talk about this just for a second, because we are witnessing something that is not only game-changing in the face of college football, but also, something that’s very special. Offset was also in Boulder and managed to get some one-on-one time with Sanders amid the sea of fans following the coach around. The two spoke briefly before embracing. In the comments, people joked that Offset was in the one place where “Kenneth [Petty] can’t find him.”

The Rocky Mountain Showdown returns for the first time since 2019. Once an annual affair, the two sides have not played each other since the pandemic. Colorado has won the last five matchups against Colorado State. Despite this, Deion might want to watch out for a scary historical precedent. The last six times a team has entered the Rocky Mountain Showdown ranked in the AP Poll, they’ve lost. Colorado enters the matchup at #18 after their 2-0 start to the season.
