Dolphins’ Fall Out Of Playoff Picture After Tua Tagovailoa’s Latest Concussion

In just a few weeks, the Miami Dolphins have gone from the top spot in the AFC East to falling out of the playoff picture. Head coach Mike McDaniel labeled the situation “frustrating” as the team fell to 8-8 on Sunday. They suffered a 23-21 loss to the New England Patriots.

“Definitely didn’t expect this,” McDaniel admitted. “It’s pretty frustrating, we’ve got a lot of guys laying it on the line. You want to get the results you feel like the team deserves and should get, and you come up short.”

McDaniel added that the five-game losing streak has been a learning experience for him as a first-time head coach.

“You learn a lot,” McDaniel said. “I know that from the whole spectrum really, football nuances, how I really want to approach the team – these things are not standard set in stone for me.”

He also cited a “degree of problem-solving that I enjoy about this profession and this job in particular.”

“And I also know that it does give me confidence in a weird way because I’m motivated by trying to dig people out of tough spots,” McDaniel continued. “I know it’s not something that I – you never know how these types of things are going to feel. You’re not excited about putting yourself in a position to (say), ‘OK, what’s it going to feel to lose five straight?’”

Amid the tumultuous stretch for the Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa suffered yet another concussion for the season. Injuries have struck other players as well such as Terron Armstead, Xavien Howard, and Bradley Chubb.

Robert Griffin III sprinted off the air during ESPN’s coverage of the College Football Playoff on Saturday, believing his wife to be going into labor. The former NFL quarterback and his wife, Grete, confirmed afterward that it was a false alarm.

In a post on social media, Grete explained that she didn’t even expect an answer from Griffin when she called.

She wrote: “All I had to say was the word ‘labor’ and this man STOPPED CALLING A BOWL GAME and took off sprinting to the car to get to the airport and get on a 4 hour flight to make it home. I love you more than life baby and I am so beyond grateful for how you love me, care for me, and what you sacrifice for me.”

“Hi guys, still pregnant,” Grete said in a video update on her Instagram Story on Sunday morning.

She continued: “Take number two: Dropping Robert off at the airport to go to another bowl game. Hopefully this time, baby will stay in… She wanted to make a dramatic entrance to 2023 but decided not to, so, we’ll see how it goes this time around.”

Griffin and Grete have been married since 2018. They already share two daughters together, Gloria and Gameya.

In the game Griffin had been covering, TCU went on to defeat Michigan, 51-45.

Blaine Gabbert Reacts After Saving Four People From Helicopter Crash

Blaine Gabbert is currently being heralded as a hero right now thanks to what he did on Thursday night with his brothers. He and his brothers were riding some jet skis in Hillsborough Bay when they saw a helicopter crash into the water. There were four people in the helicopter, including the pilot, 28-year-old Hunter Hupp, and his parents Wes and Lisa.

Subsequently, Gabbert immediately went into motion as he called for first responders. Additionally, he drove over to the crash and saved all four people from drowning. The beach was nearby, so he drove them back, and everyone ultimately survived.

Blaine Gabbert Speaks

Following this act of heroism, every media person wanted to speak to Gabbert today. He went into detail about how he was able to get everyone out, while also crediting the first responders for all of their hard work.

“I was just right place, right time, I guess,” Gabbert explained, via Sports Illustrated. “… I got two on my jet ski, my brothers got one. The pilot was still in the water, and that was when you guys [Tampa police and fire departments] pulled up and I dragged him a little bit towards the boat and he got on. Luckily we were probably 250 meters from the beach, so we got them to the beach. The fire department, everybody was there, and the rest is history.

“… It wasn’t me, it was just my brothers and I out having fun. Credit goes to these guys [Tampa first responders], because if they weren’t there in the nick of time, it could have turned out bad.”

Overall, this is a truly incredible story. Although it could have been deadly, four people have been saved because of Gabbert’s quick thinking. Hopefully, he gets the credit he deserves for this.

Skip Bayless Rips Ezekiel Elliott Despite Cowboys Win

Skip Bayless is one of the biggest Cowboys fans out there. Ever since becoming an analyst on TV, Bayless has ridden for his Cowboys. Unfortunately, they haven’t given him too much to cheer about, especially when it comes to the postseason. Overall, they have done very little in the Dak Prescott era, and it remains to be seen if they ever will.

Last night, the Cowboys played a Thursday Night showdown against the Tennessee Titans. In the end, they won 27-13, however, it wasn’t the showing that Bayless was truly hoping for. Instead, the Cowboys were sloppy at times and ultimately benefitted from the Titans’ long list of injuries.

Skip Bayless Vs. Ezekiel Elliott

Ezekiel Elliott scored a touchdown in last night’s game, however, he did very little aside from that. He is simply not the running back he used to be, and Bayless was very quick to point that out. In fact, he wished for Tony Pollard to rush back from his injury.

“Get healthy soon, Tony Pollard,” Skip said. “Without you, Zeke gets exposed as more of a fullback than a halfback. One yard and a cloud of disgust.”

On Undisputed, Bayless offered up more of the same in terms of analysis. However, he decided to take the heat off of Elliott and instead, put it on the entire team.

“I needed a 40-0 statement,” Bayless said. “I needed them to rocket fuel the momentum that they relaunched against Philadelphia after blowing it all at Jacksonville. It was one of those nights on a national stage where you need to flex your firepower.”

Hopefully, for Skip, his Cowboys can start getting back on track a bit. After all, the playoffs are almost here and once again, they are looking to avoid another first-round exit.

Shannon Sharpe Has More Reality Checks For Russell Wilson

Shannon Sharpe was a legend on the Denver Broncos. He completely changed the way tight ends look at the game and that makes him an icon. Additionally, he got to catch passes from John Elway, which certainly makes your job easier. Either way, Sharpe knows a lot about the game.

These days, Sharpe can be seen on TV where he speaks about football and basketball with Skip Bayless. Undisputed has been on fire as of late, and Sharpe’s personality has certainly aided with that. While the show has had some controversy, it has also been getting some great ratings.

Shannon Sharpe Vs. Russell Wilson

Recently, Sharpe has been going in on the likes of Russell Wilson. As it pertains to Wilson, there is a lot to roast. His play ultimately got his head coach fired, and there is no chance they make the playoffs. Sharpe has been annoyed by Russ’ attitude, and for the third day in a row, he made an example out of Wilson.

“Hell, I wish I was 6’9″ with a 42 inch vertical and could shoot the ball like Steph Curry. Oh how we wish for things that didn’t happen,” Sharpe said in response to Russ wishing he had been better for his coach. Later on, Sharpe referenced John Elway, saying “We knew John Elway got certain perks and privileges. But he never made us feel he was better than us. You can’t do that.”

Overall, Sharpe knows what he’s talking about here. Additionally, Wilson might want to watch all of this as he needs the rude awakening. Without it, the Broncos will subsequently stink for many, many years. If you’re a Broncos fan, you are hoping that won’t be the case.

Peyton Manning Reveals If He Will Coach The Broncos

Peyton Manning is one of the best football players ever. The Colts and Broncos quarterback was able to win two Super Bowls during his time in the league. Additionally, he broke numerous records while proving himself to be an immense talent.

Overall, Manning has a great mind for football. He still comments on the game through ESPN, and there are plenty of people out there who envision him as a coach. This is especially true when you consider how the Denver Broncos are currently in need of a head coach.

Peyton Manning Clears The Air

Recently, TMZ actually caught up with Manning where they asked him if he would ever coach the team. Overall, Manning is so unenthused about the idea that he said “I don’t think so,” twice. After all, that team seems to be a mess right now, and Manning is right to steer clear.

Just a few days ago, the Broncos decided to part ways with head coach Nathaniel Hackett. After a 4-11 record this season, it was probably a good idea to go this route. At the end of the day, Hackett was no good, and you can’t keep a coach like that for the long term.

Manning is a legend of the game, however, he simply doesn’t have the experience. One could just look at Jeff Saturday in Indianapolis to understand why hiring former players is a bad idea. If they have coaching experience, it’s fine. However, if they don’t have any real pedigree, then it could end up being a complete dumpster fire.

Perhaps one day Manning will go into coaching, although for now, it is not in the cards. Instead, Broncos fans will just have to wait on some sort of potential miracle.

Terrell Owens Contacts Cowboys & More Teams For NFL Comback

Terrell Owens has contacted several teams inquiring about an NFL comeback at age 49. Owens’ agent, Gregory D.L. Daniel, told SI.com that he has tried landing a workout with the Dallas Cowboys.

“We’ve been in constant communication with Jerry Jones’ office over the last few days about the possibility of him returning to the Cowboys,” Daniel said. “Terrell is ready to contribute and play any role, big or small. He’s in outstanding shape. He looks no different than he did years ago. I watched him running routes full-speed with DeSean [Jackson] and he looked great. He didn’t drop a pass.”

Daniel added that Owens recently ran a 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.

The news comes after the Cowboys were recently on the search for a veteran wide receiver. They initially were interested in Odell Beckham Jr., but injury concerns led them to sign T.Y. Hilton.

Owens previously spoke about continuing his playing career with ESPN’s Tim McManus back in April. He explained that he was launching the Fan Controlled Football league in the hopes of catching footballs again.

“I’m just looking forward to the opportunity … to get out there and run around and help mentor some guys,” he said at the time. “Everything that I’ve done to make myself a Hall of Famer—I’m going to try to do my best to not only just play but help mentor those guys and help them become better at their craft.”

Terrell Owens last played in the league back in 2012 as a member of the Seattle Seahawks. He entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

Shannon Sharpe Goes Off On Russell Wilson Again

Shannon Sharpe is always on point when he delivers his criticisms of NFL players. Overall, Sharpe is someone who tries to hold players accountable. On Undisputed, he can sometimes go a bit overboard, however, this is television, and you need to be captivating.

Recently, Sharpe went after the likes of Russell Wilson. Wilson plays for Sharpe’s former team, so you can be sure that Shannon has some emotional attachment. Having said that, Wilson is having a horrific year, and consequently, Sharpe has been letting him know.

Shannon Sharpe Rips Wilson

After an epic rant on Tuesday, Sharpe came right back with some heat on Wednesday. As you can see in the clip below, Sharpe accused Wilson of wanting to be more of a celebrity than an actual football player. Additionally, he said the locker room doesn’t really feel too fondly about him.

“Russell Wilson wants to be famous more than he wants to be a good football player,” Sharpe said. “The players inside that locker room don’t like him! He has not earned their respect. He thinks he’s better than they are and they sense it.”

This goes in line with what Sharpe said yesterday. Although, yesterday we got Sharpe’s more humorous side.

“They let Russ cook on Christmas and he burned the god dang gon’ meal! And everybody went hungry thanks to Russ’ cooking,” Sharpe said. “Russ, you better get back on your grind. You better make sure they know that this was a ‘blip’ and not a trend because they’ll eat your money next year.”

Wilson needs to be a lot better, however, there is no guarantee that things improve. If you are a Broncos fan, you have got to be feeling pretty bad right now.

Tua Tagovailoa Hit With Another Concussion

Tua Tagovailoa has had one of the wildest rollercoaster-type seasons ever. He started it off strong with a string of wins to start the year. However, Tua eventually got a concussion which led to three-straight losses for the Miami Dolphins.

Of course, that concussion was a horrible one as it led to a frightening neurological response that was captured on tape. Overall, it was a horrible look for the Miami Dolphins who subsequently changed their protocols. Now, however, they are experiencing another nightmare.

Tua Tagovailoa Gets Hurt

On Sunday, Tua and the Dolphins lost to the Green Bay Packers. Many noted that Tua played poorly in the second half and that it felt like something was off. On Monday, it was revealed that Tua had been put under concussion protocol for the hit below.

After some evaluation, it is now being reported by head coach Mike McDaniel that Tua officially has another concussion. Consequently, he will not get to play this week as Teddy Bridgewater has been named the starting QB. Overall, it is horrible news that could seriously affect Tua’s future.

McDaniel was very somber during his press conference today and it is easy to see why. This is just bad news all around, and you have to be dejected if you are a Dolphins fan who was hoping for some sort of playoff berth.

Hopefully, Tua is going to be okay. He is a very exciting player and it is disheartening to see concussion problems plague his season.

Shannon Sharpe Delivers Epic Takedown Of Russell Wilson

When it comes to holding players accountable, you know that Shannon Sharpe is going to be brutally honest. The Undisputed co-host has had some harsh opinions over the years, and that won’t be changing anytime soon. Overall, it is his honesty that makes him so captivating on television.

Sharpe has had a lot to talk about this year when it comes to the NFL. For the most part, the league has been entertaining and there has been plenty of drama concerning Sharpe’s former team. Of course, we are talking about the Denver Broncos, who just fired Nathaniel Hackett.

Shannon Sharpe Rips Russ

Consequently, Sharpe had a lot to say about what happened with Hackett. Sharpe believes the team is in complete disarray and it will be hard to do anything with Russell Wilson’s contract. Additionally, Sharpe went on a humorous rant against Wilson where he came through with some very creative insults.

For Broncos fans, the Russell Wilson has been a complete and utter disaster beyond comprehension. Wilson used to be one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL. Now, he is a shell of his former self, and he is going to need a reality check if he wants to start winning again. Hopefully, for Broncos fans, he is able to get better.

As for Sharpe, it is hard to disagree with anything he said here. These are some unfiltered thoughts, and you have to respect that. Let us know what you think of Sharpe’s remarks, in the comments below.
