Foolio Murder: Florida Reportedly Seeks Death Penalty For Three Suspects

In June of this year, Foolio was tragically shot and killed outside of a Tampa hotel while celebrating his 26th birthday. Five suspects were later identified, Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Rashad Murphy, Alicia Andrews, and Davion Murphy. At the time of writing, Davion Murphy is still allegedly on the run. The others are currently in custody facing various charges.

According to documents obtained by XXL, Florida State Attorney Susan S. Lopez filed a motion this week revealing Florida’s intention to hand Chance, Gathright, and Rashad Murphy the death penalty if they’re found guilty. They’ve all been hit with charges of alleged first-degree murder, murder conspiracy, and attempted murder. It’s unclear why Andrews is not listed on the death penalty motion. The outlet points out speculation that she could be cooperating with authorities, but this is not confirmed.

Alicia Andrews Not Listed In Florida State Attorney’s Death Penalty Motion

In August, Chance and Andrews pleaded not guilty to four counts of premeditated first-degree murder, according to XXL. Gathright pleaded not guilty to two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, attempted premeditated first-degree murder, and tampering with physical evidence per WTSP. Chance and Andrews are accused of tracking Foolio’s whereabouts while the Murphys and Gathright allegedly carried out the shooting. Chance, Andrews, and Gathright were all denied bond in August. “The evidence of this coordinated attack is overwhelming,” State Attorney Suzy Lopez said at the time. “And our community is safer when they are behind bars.”

As for Davion Murphy, it was reported last month that authorities believed he was still at large in the Jacksonville area. Shortly after, he allegedly got into an argument with another user on Twitter Spaces, and a clip of the spat made its rounds online. What do you think of the state of Florida reportedly seeking the death penalty for three of the suspects charged in Foolio’s murder? Foolio Murder Suspect Allegedly Gets Into Twitter Spaces Spat While On The Run

Despite the fatal shooting of Foolio taking place in June of this year, authorities haven’t caught all of the suspects. It was reported earlier this month that the fifth charged murder suspect in the case, Davion Murphy, was allegedly still on the run. At the time, police believed that Murphy was in the Jacksonville area, according to XXL.

As of today, Murphy is still not in custody. Recently, however, he was allegedly on Twitter Spaces. In a clip shared by Kollege Kidd yesterday, he allegedly gets into an argument with someone else on the platform. It’s unclear exactly what the spat was about. The other individual could be heard saying the suspect’s name multiple times, and insisting that he’d “make [him] go to jail.”

Foolio Murder Suspect Davion Murphy Is Still At Large

As for the other suspects in this case, including Murphy’s cousin Rashad, they’ve been arrested. Rashad surrendered after a police standoff, which bodycam footage surfaced of in July. Sean Gathright, Isaiah Chance Jr., and Alicia Andrews have also been arrested. Per court documents obtained by XXL, Chance Jr. and Andrews pleaded not guilty late last month to four counts of premeditated first-degree murder. Gathright also pleaded not guilty to two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, attempted premeditated first-degree murder, and tampering with physical evidence according to local news outlet WTSP. Police accuse Chance Jr. and Andrews of tracking Foolio while Gathright and the Murphys carried out the shooting.

Chance Jr, Andrews, and Gathright were denied bond in August. “Each of the three defendants played a role in the ambush and brutal murder of Charles Jones,” State Attorney Suzy Lopez said at the time. “The evidence of this coordinated attack is overwhelming, and our community is safer when they are behind bars. Our prosecutors will continue to build a strong case on the road to a trial that will allow us to bring justice to the victims and their families.” What do you think of one of Foolio’s murder suspects allegedly going on Twitter Spaces despite being on the run? Foolio Murder Suspect Still At Large Months After Shooting

The Foolio murder case remains a pretty open one, especially since the fifth charged murder suspect in this case, Davion Murphy, is still on the run as of Monday, September 17. Moreover, authorities have yet to provide an update on his whereabouts, what they’re doing to improve their search, or what possibilities for escape exist. The last update that we got in the case were pleas from some of the suspects that police currently has in custody. But until they find this fifth suspect or they get to the bottom of the case elsewhere, then this will continue to be a mystery. However, authorities think that Davion is still in somewhere in Jacksonville

Furthermore, police claim that suspects Davion Murphy and his cousin Rashad enlisted in the Top Killers gang, a Jacksonville organization with a rivalry with the Six Block Gang that police claim Foolio belonged to. Rashad still doesn’t have a plea and awaits arraignment later this month. According to alleged court documents reportedly obtained by XXL, two other suspects in this case (Isaiah Chance and Alicia Andrews) pleaded not guilty on August 23. Per local news organization WTSP, the final suspect (Sean Gathright) also pleaded not guilty, although XXL was not able to confirm this.

Foolio Murder Suspect Rashad Murphy Arrested

Isaiah Chance and Alicia Andrews face four counts of premeditated first-degree murder in the Foolio case, whereas Gathright is up against two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, attempted premeditated first-degree murder, and tampering with physical evidence. According to police, all five suspects traveled from Jacksonville to Tampa to attack the rapper as part of the alleged gang war. He was celebrating his 26th birthday in the city. Police claim that Chance and Andrews tracked his movements and that Gathright and the Murphys carried out the shooting.

Meanwhile, many folks still feel a way about Yungeen Ace, Foolio’s rival that chose to disrespect his death. “I think he kept a poker face on when I asked him how’s he feel about the passing of Foolio,” DJ Akademiks theorized during his latest VladTV appearance. “He’s like ‘Nah, it’s f***ed up.’ But is that really his demeanor? He’s probably elated.”
Rest In Peace Foolio.

Yungeen Ace Is “Elated” Over Foolio’s Death, DJ Akademiks Theorizes

In June of this year, Jacksonville rapper Foolio passed away at the age of 26. Reportedly, he was shot multiple times in the parking lot of a Tampa hotel where he was celebrating his birthday. The tragic loss continues to have the hip-hop community in mourning, but according to DJ Akademiks, not everyone is upset by it.

During a recent interview with VladTV, Ak explained why he believes Foolio’s longtime enemy Yungeen Ace is actually happy about his death. “I think he kept a poker face on when I asked him how’s he feel about the passing of Foolio, he’s like ‘Nah, it’s f*cked up.’ But is that really his demeanor? He’s probably elated,” he said.

DJ Akademiks On Foolio’s Murder

“Think about it,” Ak continued. “He passed away in a car like he heard his brother take his last breath… Foolio made that into a hit song laughing about it.” DJ Akademiks is far from the only one with this theory, however. Just hours after Foolio’s death was confirmed, Yungeen Ace dropped what many believe to be a diss track called “Do It.” Shortly after this, an anonymous man went viral on social media for claiming to have pulled the trigger. In a clip that made its rounds online, he alleged that he shot Foolio because Yungeen Ace put $10K on his head.

“I be in Jacksonville heavy,” the man said. “If you know, you know. I handled that because Ace had that money on his head, Ace had them put that $10K up. Told me to slide, told me to smack Foolio because he got tired of that n***a running his mouth, playing all the time, you feel me?” What do you think of DJ Akademiks speculating that Yungeen Ace is happy about the murder of Foolio? Do you agree with him or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

As we reported yesterday, Isaiah Chance was recently in court where he could be seen bobbing his head to Yungeen Ace’s music. Overall, Ace and Foolio were foes who had a long history between them. Since Foolio’s passing, Yungeen Ace has sworn off dissing his formal rival, however, he has gone back on that promise a few times, or so it seems. As for this case, it appears as though it is going to trial and could take a long time before any justice is seen.

Foolio Murder Suspect Allegedly Tried To Kill Him Previously

Late last month, police made four arrests in connection to Foolio’s murder. The rapper was shot at a Tampa Holiday Inn, where he was celebrating his 26th birthday, in June. Now, police are accusing one of the suspects of being involved in a previous attempt on Foolio’s life, dating back to October of 2023. At the time, Foolio was shot in the foot on his way to a gas station.

“It appears that the suspect or suspects were waiting for the victim and ambushed him,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said at the time. Sean Gathright, one of the alleged gunmen, was found with a Glock 9MM pistol, a rifle, and nine spent rifle casings in his vehicle at the time of his arrest. Reportedly, the casings matched the ones from the October Foolio shooting, as well as a separate murder in May.

Sean Gathright Tied To October 2023 Foolio Shooting

Police accuse the five suspects of traveling to Jacksonville to carry out the attack. Gathright was charged with three counts of premeditated attempted murder in the first degree, two counts of murder in the first-degree premeditated with a firearm, and tampering with physical evidence. One of the other suspects, Isaiah Chance Jr., recently declared that he’ll be home soon. For obvious reasons, such as the high-quality surveillance footage released last month, social media users have their doubts. “I miss y’all and I miss the [world],” he wrote, “I’ll be home soon.” He’s facing two counts of first-degree murder premeditated with a firearm.

Police are still searching for their fifth and final suspect, Davion Murphy, who is at large. What do you think of Sean Gathright being accused of trying to kill Foolio back in October of 2023? Are you surprised or not? What about police making four arrests after the Jacksonville rapper’s murder? Yungeen Ace Swears To DJ Akademiks That He Won’t Diss Foolio

It seems like getting a solid read on Yungeen Ace’s relationship with the now late rapper Foolio will never happen. No matter what positivity he shows toward his counterpart, Chicago-born MC is always going to have some eyebrows raised. For example, just about a week ago, the now Jacksonville native hopped on an Instagram Live session with his followers in which people were asking him about Foolio. Ace pointed out sad and tragic his passing was, as well as how they were supposedly cooler with each other behind closed doors. This led fans to make numerous comparisons to how King Von was when FBG Duck was murdered. It’s worth mentioning that the alleged killer of Foolio was accusing Yungeen Ace as the one who put the hit on him.

However, he has not been charged in any capacity. But going back to the IG Live clip, DJ Akademiks reposted it to his account. Assumedly, Ace and the hip-hop sleuth had some conversations because a recent interview between them has just come out. Of course, Foolio was the main topic of discussion and during their chat. Throughout their sit-down, the “Ready To Die” MC continued to say more positive things about him.

Yungeen Ace Doesn’t Disrespect The Dead

In the clip above, Akademiks asks him if he’s going to continue to diss Foolio, to which he vowed, “No… can’t be doing that bout the dead”. Ace then went onto say how he used to listen to his music “back in the day” after Ak called him out for originally saying he didn’t. He even pointed out how Ace and Foolio used to be friends. But he shut that down, saying they weren’t really that tight, but that he did try to play some one-on-one basketball in Los Angeles. However, he claims Foolio turned down the offer. Overall, Ace was pretty all over the place, which seems to further highlight their checkered past.

Yungeen Ace and Foolio were rivals who had previously made some scathing diss tracks towards one another. Overall, their beef had been deadly in the past and fans were worried about the escalation of violence. Recently, Foolio was shot and killed and many went to point the finger at Ace. However, recently, Yungeen Ace was on Instagram Live where he was speaking with his fans. During the IG live session, one person asked about Foolio’s death. Yungeen Ace subsequently said it was sad, noting that he and Foolio were actually cool. Furthermore, Ace said that he is out of the streets and that everyone else should do the same. Needless to say, he was separating himself from any of the bloodshed that has gone on in Florida. In DJ Akademiks’ comments section, some fans simply were not buying it.
