Future & Metro Boomin Trust No One On Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

March has been an amazing month for new hip-hop, and we’re once again here to round up the best of the best of the genre’s new releases this week on our Fire Emoji playlist update. Leading the way, to absolutely no one’s surprise, is the new album from Future and Metro Boomin, WE DON’T TRUST YOU. There are a lot of highlights to talk about, but it’s clear that one in particular is driving fans wild. Kendrick Lamar’s feature on “Like That,” dissing Drake and J. Cole, lit up the rap world, and there was another highly anticipated collab here that lived up to expectations. “Type S**t” also tapped Travis Scott and Playboi Carti for some great contributions, and the beat switch on “Ice Attack” is one of the most notable on the whole album.

Elsewhere on Fire Emoji, we also have a new posthumous track from Mac Miller from the Watching Movies With The Sound Off era circa 2013. “The Quest” samples one of Jon Brion’s contributions to the Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind soundtrack from 2004, and Mac would go on to work with Brion on 2018’s Swimming and 2020’s posthumous effort Circles. In fact, the track first appeared exclusively on WMWTSO‘s tenth anniversary vinyl last year, but is now on streaming services. It’s a psychedelic, ethereal, and fast-flowing cut from the late Pittsburgh legend that absolutely deserves your ear.

In addition, this Fire Emoji update also showcases Big Sean’s new track “Precision” which, along with his “Anderson Estate” freestyle, is leading up to his new album coming soon. As for this new single, though, it’s decidedly more energetic, trap-based, and bombastic than his previous freestyle. The Michigan spitter unleashes a relentless barrage of bars while flipping through flows with ease. With this in mind, we can expect this upcoming LP to be as balanced , versatile, and passionate as his previous effort, 2020’s Detroit 2.

Meanwhile, we also got a bouncy, woozy, and low-key single from LUCKI titled “All Love” that further cements his spot as one of the waviest and most effortlessly intoxicating figures in trap, plugg, and other adjacent genres today. Finally, we wanted to give a shoutout to “Save Me,” the melancholy and drowsy new song from YNW Melly, YNW BSlime, and Jit4 Stan. Let us know what your favorite Fire Emoji release was this week down in the comments section below, as well as what else we missed. Check out the playlist above and, as always, come back to HNHH for the latest great music drops around the clock.

Quavo & Rich The Kid Are The “Real Ones” On Our New Fire Emoji Playlist Update: Stream

March is heating up fast, and our Fire Emoji playlist update is here to round up the best rap releases of the week. First up is Quavo and Rich The Kid with their new single “Real One,” which is a slightly familiar but mostly bouncy and fun banger that takes it back to their roots a little bit. Still, a woozy synth melody gives it a bit of a different flair compared to their other material, although the Rich Forever member is used to these pallets. They also provide some vocal dynamism with their deliveries and their flows that, while not perfect, give this track some pretty necessary and vibrant life.

Next up on Fire Emoji is, in our opinion, the best release of the week: MIKE and Tony Seltzer’s collaborative album Pinball. It’s a short but very sweet collection of sometimes moody, mostly visceral, always hard, and consistently compelling rap songs that play in a few different sounds and styles. Earl Sweatshirt and Tony Shhnow help out on “On God,” which is one of the most ethereal cuts here. Meanwhile, the Burning Desire MC flows effortlessly and pays homage to UGK on the fast-paced and unbelievably mood-lifting “Underground Kingz.”

As far as other hot singles this week, we wanted to shout out the new team-up between Russ and DJ Premier, “Work This Out.” It’s a bit slower and moodier of a beat than what fans might expect from the legendary beatsmith, but it’s still a well-constructed and evolutionary sample flip and build from him. As for the Atlanta lyricist, he actually takes a more melodic and melancholy approach on this song, so it’s great to hear how both parties here are moving a bit out of their comfort zones here. Well, the rapper’s always been great with melodies and displayed this side of him, but it’s not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Preemo, which is welcome.

Finally, we wanted to highlight two great new singles from Kenny Mason, “JUMPIN IN” and “US.” He continues to show why he’s one of the more consistent artists in the game today that comes through with grounded and gritty bars and minimally lush production. Let us know in the comments what your favorite Fire Emoji release was this week, as well as what we missed. Check out the playlist above and, as always, stick around on HNHH for the latest great music drops around the clock.

ScHoolboy Q & Cardi B Bring Their Comebacks To Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

Welcome to March, whose quality as a hip-hop release month for 2024 is proven by our new Fire Emoji playlist update. We decided to round up the best of the best rap drops of the week, and leading the way is none other than ScHoolboy Q. The TDE MC released his first album in about five years, BLUE LIPS, and it’s got no shortage of tender, aggressive, and consistently compelling tracks. “oHio” featuring Freddie Gibbs, “THank god 4 me,” and “Pop” featuring Rico Nasty are all particularly hype and energetic cuts for you to check out. It stands as the best album to come out this week, and one of the year’s best so far.

Also on Fire Emoji is another comeback: the solo return of Cardi B with her new track, “Like What (Freestyle).” It’s a fiery set of bars over a classic Missy Elliot and Timbaland beat; what’s not to love ahead of the Bronx rapper’s next album? Speaking of new albums, though, we have to shout out That Mexican OT, who just released his latest full-length Texas Technician. The Moneybagg Yo-assisted “Twisting Fingers” is a Southern banger through and through, showing off a lot of chemistry and versatile flows.

Furthermore, we also wanted to point you to Meek Mill’s new EP HEATHENISM, on which “Giving Chanel” with Future is a particular standout. Thanks to a dramatic instrumental and relentless deliveries, it’s a pretty hard-hitting record with a grand feel. Another trunk-knocking release on Fire Emoji is Luh Tyler’s new single “Bad B***h“… what could it ever be about? Jokes aside, it’s a bass-heavy and fast-paced track with Tyler’s trademark nasal croons.

Meanwhile, as far as triumphant and evocative trap cuts, few ranked higher than 21 Lil Harold and BigXthaPlug’s “Gin & Juice.” Finally, we wanted to highlight Ransom, Harry Fraud, and Boldy James’ excellently lavish and lyrically evocative single, “Live from the Roxy.” Let us know what you favorite Fire Emoji release was this week -– and what else we missed, too. Check out the playlist above and stick around on HNHH for the latest great music drops around the clock.

Beyonce & Sexyy Red Dominate Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

Even though the year is about to end, our new Fire Emoji playlist update– which covers the best bangers in the hip-hop realm each week– is still stacked. Leading the way is Sexyy Red with the release of the deluxe version of her album, Hood Hottest Princess. Moreover, the St. Louis MC had plenty of jams on here, with “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad)” and “Ghetto Princess” with Chief Keef being particular standouts. In addition, we also had Beyoncé grace us with a new track “My House.” It’s a triumphant, boastful, genre-fusing, and above all energizing cut with some incredible production and cohesive progressions.

Furthermore, BigXthaPlug made a big impact on Fire Emoji this week with his new album THE BIGGEST. While there are many more notable efforts here, the track “CLIMATE” with Offset is a cold and grimy highlight. Keeping with that hardened street perspective is NBA YoungBoy’s new song “Run,” which is a little more melodic. Regardless, it still presents itself as a gritty narrative, one accentuated by the Baton Rouge MC’s harsh delivery and relentless flow.

In a totally different lane on our Fire Emoji playlist update are Flying Lotus, Smoke DZA, and the one and only Black Thought. Their new collaboration “Drug Trade” already came out earlier this year, but this new “Pt 2” remix adds a skillful verse from Benny The Butcher. Speaking of Griselda affiliates, Conway The Machine and Conductor Williams finally dropped their collaborative project CONDUCTOR MACHINE. 7xvethegenius steals the show on “Flame,” although the main artists do an amazing job in their areas, too. There’s a similar dynamic on Veeze’s “ATL Freestyle 1 & 2,” on which Luh Tyler and Rob49 meet the moment as special guests.

Rounding out our update is BabyDrill’s new song “Watchin Now,” which is one of the more chilled-out records from our playlist additions this week. Finally, Bas continues to build anticipation for his soon-to-come new album with his upbeat single “179 Deli” with AJ Tracey. Let us know in the comments what your favorite release of these was, and also what we missed this week. Check out our Fire Emoji playlist above and keep checking in with HNHH for the best new music around the clock.

Lil Wayne Serves Up “Kat Food” On The Latest “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

September started off on a high note thanks to a New Music Friday loaded with hot releases from some of the biggest names in hip-hop. Above all else, we were happiest to hear from Lil Wayne yesterday on his “Kat Food” single, which took the No. 1 spot on our Fire Emoji update. The Louisana native teased the track on social media in the days leading up to its release, and we’ve been playing it consistently since it first landed on DSPs. Speaking of felines, Doja Cat also had a new song for us ahead of her highly anticipated Scarlet album.

As she continues to see “Paint The Town Red” find massive success on the charts, the California native showed us her “Demons” this month. In the song’s accompanying visual, Doja looks more chilling than ever in her sinister body makeup, though her lyricism is earning mass praise across social media. Interestingly, she and Lil Wayne have both been named as performers for the upcoming MTV VMAsm and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in the fall.

Others who nabbed coveted spots on the latest Fire Emoji playlist are JID and Lil Yachty (“Van Gogh”), and the Queen of Rap herself, Nicki Minaj. The mother of one is preparing The Barbz for Pink Friday 2, giving us a taste of what’s to come on her “Last Time I Saw You” single. Following that comes a collaboration from Maxo Kream and Key Glock called “Bonecrusher,” as well as 38 Spesh and Conway the Machine’s work with Benny The Butcher on “Goodfellas.”

Finally, closing things out for our first update of September are EARTHGANG and Spillage Village, who joined forced on “Die Today.” Find all of our latest hip-hop favourites exclusively on our Spotify Fire Emoji playlist. Lil Yachty & The City Girls Are Among Those Bringing The Heat To This Week’s “Fire Emoji” Update

There are 52 New Music Fridays every year, and even for those well-ingrained in the industry, it can be hard to keep up with the countless singles, EPs, and albums that arrive on DSPs. Thankfully, our Fire Emoji playlist is updated almost every weekend with the latest and greatest from the world of hip-hop. Today (August 26) is no exception, kicking off with Gucci Mane’s latest, “There I Go” featuring guest bars from J. Cole and production by Mike WiLL Made-It. Following that comes another noteworthy collaboration, “Rollin’ In” from Sauce Walka and Sauce Gohan.

The first solo effort on this installment of Fire Emoji is Lil Yachty’s “TESLA.” After that we hear from Earl Sweatshirt and MIKE over The Alchemist’s production on “Sentry.” As for albums that dropped yesterday, Drake obviously failed to deliver For All The Dogs, but Burna Boy still came through to save the summer with his I Told Them LP. From that, we’ve picked “Thanks,” which includes another feature from the Dreamville head. For those who are hoping to close out August with a lit celebration, Tyga and YG’s work on “PARTy T1M3” is just what you need.

The City Girls still haven’t given us their next album, but they did go hard on their “Face Down” single earlier this week. From 03 Greedo we have his “Rich On Grape Street” track, which is the last solo song on today’s update. Dave and Tiakola’s “Meridian” follows, before Peezy and Key Glock take the penultimate spot with “No Amiris.” Finally, closing things out we have “Latex Gloves” from a seriously impressive trio – 38 Spesh, Conway the Machine, and Lloyd Banks.

You can listen to this weekend’s full Fire Emoji round-up exclusively on Spotify. Are there any new arrivals that you think we missed? Let us know in the comments, and tap into Burna Boy’s I Told Them LP, featuring Summer Walker, RZA, J. Cole, and more at the link below.

Nas & 50 Cent’s “Office Hours” Collab Is “Fire Emoji” AF

With each weekend of the summer so far, the new releases from hip-hop and R&B artists have only grown hotter. Lil Uzi Vert finally nabbed the genre its first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, and that seems to have motivated their contemporaries to unleash new singles and projects to keep the momentum going. Arguably the most noteworthy rap release this New Music Friday (July 21) came from Nas, who followed last year’s King’s Disease III with Magic 2, boasting appearances from 50 Cent and 21 Sav. For our Fire Emoji update, we’ve picked Nas’ link-up with his fellow New Yorker, “Office Hours,” which is followed by another dynamic duo – J. Cole and Bas.

The latter pair connected for “Passport Bros” earlier this week, marking yet another successful joint effort for the Dreamville leader this season. We’ve also been loving ASAP Rocky’s work on “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n)” with Pharrell, which appeared in the soon-to-be father of two’s dope new Beats ad spot a few days ago. Everything we’ve mentioned so far is undeniably impressive, but it’s Travis Scott’s “K-POP” featuring Bad Bunny and The Weeknd that’s already a standout contender for song of the summer.

Further down on the list we’ve got “Long Nights” from Canada’s own Smiley, as well as Jay Rock’s “Too Fast (Pull Over)” in tandem with Anderson .Paak and Latto. The 777 rap diva’s most recent feature comes just before her rumoured enemy’s Ice Spice’s catchy new, “Deli” track, which landed alongside three other new titles on her updated Like..? EP. Gucci Mane came through with heat in the form of “Married with Millions,” and from Babyface Ray’s album we’ve selected “Fly Gods” featuring Westside Gunn.

Today’s round-up closes with songs from Sleepy Hallow, Ghost Kidz and Vince Staples, and finally, Lil Gnar, Chief Keef, and Young Nudy’s “PB&J.” Tap into this week’s Fire Emoji update exclusively on Spotify above. DaBaby & Sexyy Red Want You To “SHAKE SUMN” While Streaming Our “Fire Emoji” Playlist

After yet another week of New Music Friday releases, we’ve once again curated the best of the best on our Fire Emoji playlist for your listening pleasure. The list is a lengthy one, kicking off with Lil Baby’s latest, “Merch Madness,” which came accompanied by a new visual from the father of two. Afterward, we have a collaboration between Lil Tjay and NBA YoungBoy, “Project Walls.” It’s set to appear on the former’s 222 album which is due out later this month. Another noteworthy joint effort comes after in the form of Rico Beats and G Herbo’s “Real Spill.”

Holding things down for female artists today is Cardi B, who joined FendiDa Rappa on “Point Me 2.” This marks yet another successful remix for the New York icon in 2023, following her recent work with Latto on “Put It On Da Floor Agan.” As Gunna continues to promote his a Gift & a Curse project with new visuals, we’ve also added “fukumean,” in which he’s been accused of using a clone to play himself.

King Von’s estate continues to feed fans posthumous work, now coming through with “Heartless” featuring Tee Grizzley. Lil Uzi Vert’s “Pink Tape” Breathes Life Into Today’s “Fire Emoji” Update

Unsurprisingly, today’s Fire Emoji playlist is mostly an homage to Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape, which the Philadelphia native finally fed us after years of anticipation. The earliest first week sales projections suggest that the lengthy effort could become hip-hop’s first No. 1 album of 2023, which would certainly be exciting. If you’re curious about LUV’s LP, but don’t want to sit through the entire tracklist, our weekly picks are the perfect sample selection.

Kicking things off is “Flooded The Face,” which makes a great addition to any workout playlist. Our next pick, “Aye” features Travis Scott, marking yet another successful collaboration for him and Uzi. We’ve previously heard them together on “Watch” with Kanye West and “Go Off” alongside Quavo. We would be remiss not to include “Endless Fashion,” which is getting lots of love thanks to Nicki Minaj’s appearance. Our final Pink Tape pick is “Suicide Doors,” another solo effort from the Eternal Atake artist.

The Queen of Rap didn’t only connect with Uzi on our Fire Emoji update this weekend – she actually appears twice. Ahead of her Pink Friday 2 project, Minaj has also teamed up with Young Thug for “Money,” and the Barbz are having a hard time deciding which of her two new contributions they like better. In addition to that, we also hear from The Alchemist and Earl Sweatshirt on “RIP Tracy,” and Rylo Rodriguez shines on “End of the Road.”

Our final two picks for the first weekend of July are “TRUTH OR DARE” from CHIKA and Freddie Gibbs, along with Jay Rock and Kal Banx’s “Eastside.” Check out our full Fire Emoji playlist update exclusively on Spotify above. Young Thug’s “BUSINESS IS BUSINESS” Brings So Many Bangers To Our “Fire Emoji” Playlist

The talk of the industry as of late has been mostly centred around how hip-hop has failed to produce a No. 1 single so far in 2023. Clearly, artists have heard the chatter and put in work since coming to this realiziation. This week’s batch of New Music Friday (June 23) arrivals is hotter than any others in recent memory. Unsurprisingly, Young Thug’s BUSINESS IS BUSINESS album is getting all the love at the top of today’s Fire Emoji playlist, with “Oh U Went” featuring Drake taking the first spot.

After that we have the second collaboration from Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj and 23-year-old Ice Spice. Following the “Princess Diana (Remix),” the new arrival is called “Barbie World. It’s due to appear on the soundtrack of Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie movie. Another noteworthy Thugger title, “Want Me Dead” featuring 21 Sav comes after, as well as Stormzy and Fredo’s hot new “Toxic Trait” single. Elsewhere, fans of the late Juice WRLD were happy to hear his voice posthumously once again. This time he appeared on Lyrical Lemonade’s “Doomsday” alongside Cordae.

The rap divas are getting plenty of love today as well. We’re celebrating BIA’s work with Busta Rhymes on “BEACH BALL” plus Coi Leray’s “Spend It” featuring Saucy Santana. Speaking of the Boston-born baddie, she shared her sophomore album this weekend, from which we’ve also added “No Angels” with Lola Brooke to our round-up. A few noteworthy solo efforts that caught our attention are Key Glock’s “Presidential Rolex” and Thugger’s “Jonesboro,” as well as Lil Tjay’s reflection on his near-fatal shooting throughout “June 22nd.”

Our final picks for your streaming consideration are Finesse2tymes’ wild new “Shiesty” joint featuring Kali and Sexyy Red, and another posthumous track from King Von called “Robberies.” Check out today’s Fire Emoji update exclusively on Spotify above.
