J. Cole Turned Down Adin Ross’ Charitable Donation, Didn’t Want To Film It

Whether on wax or off the mic, J. Cole is always looking for ways to speak to communities and directly impact them positively. However, he’s also the kind of public figure that doesn’t want to do things for the cameras, and keeps those endeavors quite private. Moreover, Adin Ross recently learned that according to his latest testimony during a recent livestream. Furthermore, readers may remember that Ross and Cole sat next to each other during Game 3 of the 2023 NBA Finals, and they actually chopped it up a little bit while sitting courtside. It turns out that the rapper actually respectfully declined a video idea from the streamer that involved community work because he didn’t want it to be filmed.

“I said, ‘Yo, would you wanna do a video where me and you go to Fayetteville and we give out hella money?’” Adin Ross said of J. Cole, a North Carolina native. “That’s exactly what I said. And Cole said, ‘I love the idea, like I really appreciate that. That’s real. But I just don’t like doing s**t like that on camera.’ So, you know, that’s what I asked him. I didn’t ask him for a live stream, I asked him something like that. But I respect J. Cole on God ’cause he’s real and he does s**t off camera all the time. He’s blessing people.”

In addition, Ross elaborated on his interaction with J. Cole in another livestream. “Cole sits down, says, ‘What’s up bro? How you been? Where you staying now?’ Etc., etc.,” Ross remarked. “We have that cool talk, small talk. We’re watching the game and s**t, I’m not really trying to be in his ear a lot. He just came in there to zone out and be in the game and s**t. But I had to ask him, you know, I said some shit. I asked about some streaming. He’s like, ‘I don’t really like cameras like that.’ But then I said to Cole, ‘Yo bro, on some life advice s**t, I’ve always wanted to talk to you. I’ve always wanted to talk to you about some life advice s**t.’

“He’s the realest motherf***er,” he continued. “He was like, ‘I would be lying. I really, really just wanna watch the game right now, Adin.’ But this is what he said, ‘I feel like this is not the right setting, but one day I’ma give you a heart to heart talk. We can talk about anything.’ He’s like, ‘Take my number down.’ He just gave me his number like that. J. Cole’s a regular a** human, real-a** motherf***er.” For the latest news and updates on J. Idris Elba Says Race Conversation Around ‘James Bond’ Role Was ‘Off-Putting’

Idris Elba Add Fuel to James Bond Rumors With Cryptic Tweet

For so long, Idris Elba was rumored and requested by fans to be the next James Bond. That ship has sailed, and now, Elba is revealing why he was against the idea of being 007.

Speaking on the SmartLess podcast, Idris Elba revealed once the talk of the role got race-based, he was turned off by the idea.

“I was super complimented for a long time about this,” Elba said. “I was like, ‘This is crazy!’ James Bond…We’re all actors and we understand that role. It’s one of those coveted [roles].”

He added, “Essentially, it was a huge compliment that every corner of the world except from some corners, which we will not talk about, were really happy about the idea that I could be considered. Those that weren’t happy about the idea made the whole thing disgusting and off-putting, because it became about race. It became about nonsense and I got the brunt of it.”

Not every movie is smashing the box office. The Flash had a three-day opening of $55.1 million and a Juneteenth weekend of $64 million. Both were viewed as disappointments for the weekend.

Deadline points to The Flash’s “flop” due to the film’s star, Ezra Miller, being unable to do press following ongoing controversies between 2020 and 2022. The film was projected up to $75 million for the three-day window.

The SAG-AFTRA strike may also prevent further film stars from doing press if it becomes fully enacted amid talks.

The film received a B CinemaScore and 77% Comescore, combatting the belief by James Gunn that The Flash would be one of the best movies superhero movies of all time.

Tobe Nwingwe, Dominique Fishback and Anthony Ramos on Preparing To Deliver a Box Office Hit in ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beast’

Tobe Nwingwe, Dominique Fishback and Anthony Ramos on Preparing To Deliver a Box Office Hit in ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beast’

Transformers: Rise of the Beast is the seventh installment of the evergreen franchise. The film stars Dominique Fishback, Anthony Ramos, and Tobe Nwingwe.

Fishback, Ramos, and Nwingue speak on their experience while filming the movie and leading up to it.

Regarding living up to any expectations, Ramos and Fishback stood tall on their acting chops.

“I wouldn’t call it any more pressure than my desire to be authentic as a character,” says Fishback. “You can’t go wrong if you live in the heart of your character. “I do my best to follow the heart of my character.”

Ramos agreed with his co-star while also praising the previous leading actors of the franchise.

“Shia LeBeouf and Mark Wahlberg set a pretty high bar as far as male leads,” he begins. “I try not to think about how good they were. The movie is not just about me, so it helps to have new characters and elements to help me to be my best.”

Nwingwe acted in the film and provided the leading song for the movie’s soundtrack entitled “On My Soul,” featuring Nas and Jacob Banks. The song is featured in the movie’s final battle scene as well.

2023 has brought about a number of debuts for Nwigwe. He also made his Coachella debut back in April, where h was introduced to the stage by Autobots leader Optimus Prime.

“My first idea was to get all of the Transformers down there and have them all in mint (color),” said Nwingwe. “But we were pressed for time and Paramount was able to at least make Optimus (Prime) happen.

Transformers: Rise of The Beast also made history by casting the first Black director of the film in Steven Caple Jr.

“You focus on the product and the story you want to tell,” he says. “We accomplished what we wanted to do, and that’s to have people connect to the film itself.”

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts debuted at No. 1 in its opening weekend with $60.5 million in domestic sales.
