Diddy’s Prosecutors Accuse Him Of Coercing Witnesses And Manipulating Public Narrative

Diddy still faces an intense legal battle in his federal case for alleged sex trafficking, and prosecutors aren’t letting up regarding their accusations against him. Moreover, according to a Manhattan federal court filing reportedly obtained by Baller Alert, they accused him of coercing witnesses and trying to manipulate public opinion from behind bars. Specifically, federal authorities allege that Sean Combs used recorded jail calls to get family members to reach out to alleged victims and potential witnesses in order to sway jurors in his favor. Per the prosecution’s assessment, this signifies a pattern of tampering that undermines a fair trial.

“The defendant has shown repeatedly — even while in custody — that he will flagrantly and repeatedly flout rules in order to improperly impact the outcome of his case,” prosecutors wrote concerning their accusations against Diddy. They claim his alleged actions indicate he’s willing to blackmail witnesses or subject them to coercion. The Bad Boy mogul pleaded not guilty to claims to coercion, abuse, and silencing alleged victims, but prosecutors still aren’t budging when it comes to his proposed $50 million bail package.

Diddy Faces New Accusations Of Case Tampering

In addition to all this, prosecutors accused Diddy of allegedly organizing a social media campaign around his birthday with his family members to sway jurors. He allegedly monitored engagement metrics and sought to maximize its success by strategizing with family members. “[Combs] explicitly discussed with his family how to ensure that the video had his desired effect on potential jury members in this case,” federal authorities alleged. Amid these accusations, his third bail attempt stems from the defense’s claims that new evidence justifies a release before his May 5 trial. In opposing response, prosecutors argued that said evidence was already available for previous bond attempts.

“The defendant’s efforts to obstruct the integrity of this proceeding also include relentless efforts to contact potential witnesses, including victims of his abuse who could provide powerful testimony against him,” federal authorities wrote of Diddy. Meanwhile, ahead of a new bail hearing, two judges ruled that he’s a flight risk and a danger to the wider community. On both sides, this case argues that the opposing force is trying to illegally tilt the public eye in their favor.

Lil Durk Reportedly Hit With New Charges In Federal Alleged Murder-For-Hire Case

Lil Durk reportedly received new federal charges in his alleged murder-for-hire case late Thursday night (November 7) via a new superseding federal grand jury indictment. For those unaware, authorities arrested him for allegedly conspiring to murder rival Quando Rondo in retaliation for the murder of King VOn, and for allegedly contributing to the murder of Rondo’s cousin Lul Pab in Los Angeles. The Justice Department announced today (Friday, November 8) that they issued this new indictment against the Chicago rapper following the criminal complaint-based indictment from October. He is the lead defendant in this new indictment, which reportedly hit him with two new felony charges.

As for the charges against Lil Durk, the superseding federal grand jury indictment lists the following alleged crimes: one count of conspiracy, one count of using interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire that resulted in loss of life, and one count of the alleged use, carry, and discharge of firearms and a machine gun, plus possession of these guns to further a violent crime that resulted in death. In addition, the new indictment charged various other individuals in alleged connection with the August 2022 murder of Lul Pab in Los Angeles.

Furthermore, these individuals that federal authorities charged in the Lil Durk case are 28-year-old Kavon London Grant (“Vonnie” or “Cuz” of Atlanta, Georgia), 33-year-old Deandre Dontrell Wilson (“DeDe” of Chicago, Illinois), 33-year-old Keith Jones (“Flacka” of Gary, Indiana), 33-year-old David Brian Lindsey (“Browneyez” of Addison, Illinois), and 36-year-old Asa Houston (“Boogie” of Chicago, Illinois). All six defendants will presumably attend Los Angeles court to make their pleas. As for Smurk himself, he reportedly awaits transfer to L.A. without bond from a Miami prison cell, the city where federal authorities arrested him after learning of his alleged travel plans.

Allegedly, the men responsible for attempting to carry out the alleged hit on Quando Rondo and for the murder of Lul Pab used finances from Lil Durk and his OTF collective and record label. This allegedly included funds for flights, ski masks, hotel room bookings, and more. In this complicated case, we still have little information as to how it will progress and when we will see a trial.

Diddy Case Gets New Judge For Unknown Reasons

The federal case against Diddy continues to develop as the number of allegations against him mount outside of it. While there aren’t many concrete updates on the trial itself other than his attempts at bail, a mysterious new occurrence has some fans raising their eyebrows. Moreover, according to journalist Meghann Cuniff, a new judge will now oversee the case. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian is now presiding over this matter, although there is no explanation as to why Judge Andrew L. Carter left the case at press time. Nevertheless, this new judge has a lot of responsibility on their shoulders and could differ from previous rulings or anticipated timelines.

Speaking of timelines, in Meghann Cuniff’s tweet below, you can see a sequence of events based on what has occurred in the Diddy case recently. They entered a notice of appeal for bond on Monday (September 30), with three following actions in the same day. These seem to be the appeal’s transmission to the U.S. Court of Appeals, confirmation that they received it and its electronic indexing, and the appearance of attorney Anthony Ricco, another player on Sean Combs’ legal team. As for this new judge, the reassignment occurred on Thursday (October 3) per Cuniff’s post.

Diddy Has A New Judge

“Less than three months after filing her lawsuit against Sean Combs, Adria English has been dropped by both of her attorneys after making completely fabricated statements,” a spokesperson for Diddy stated regarding sexual assault accuser English’s lawyers retracting from her case against the Bad Boy mogul. “In papers filed with the court today, her former attorneys cited Ms. English’s ‘questionable antics’ and ‘undermining behavior.’

“As we’ve said from the start, anyone can file a lawsuit without proof, and this case is a clear example of that,” a representative for Diddy continued. “Adria English escalated things by filing false police reports and making baseless claims, using high-profile events as a backdrop to harm innocent people. No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted, or sex trafficked anyone.” This comes as the media confronts other celebrities about their alleged ties to the executive.

Diddy’s Lawyer Names Cassie As An Alleged Witness In Federal Case

Diddy’s federal case is taking shape. The hip hop mogul was formally charged with sex trafficking and racketeering on Tuesday, and was subsequently denied bail. He will be held until his trial gets underway. In the meantime, his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, will speak on his behalf. Agnifilo voiced his frustration with the court’s decision to deny Diddy bail. He also alleged that Cassie, Diddy’s former girlfriend, will serve as a witness in the upcoming trial, according to The Jasmine Brand.

Cassie will allegedly be among the women who will testify against Diddy, according to Agnifilo. There is a possibility that the singer will take the stand during the case, but nothing has been confirmed. It’s telling that Diddy’s lawyer confirmed Cassie’s involvement in the case. At the same time, he attempted to tear down her character. Marc Agnifilo alleged that Cassie was actually the one who incited violence leading up to the incident in which Diddy assaulted her in a hotel hallway. The lawyer alleged that the singer hit Diddy in the head with a cell phone. He also claimed that Cassie’s infidelity lead to the confrontation in the first place.

Cassie’s involvement in the Diddy case has been alluded to for several months. TMZ reported that the singer was in contact with federal officers prior to the mogul’s arrest. She also reportedly worked with investigators as far back as April. A source close to Cassie told People Magazine that she feared for her life in the lead up to Diddy’s arrest. “It was terrifying in a very real way,” the source explained. “There have been so many people protecting Diddy for so long. It’s not an exaggeration to say her life was in danger through all this.”

The same source told People that Diddy’s arrest has helped Cassie at ease. Especially considering the fact that the mogul was denied bail. “It’s been really, really hard for her,” they asserted. “She was very hopeful that justice would come.” Cassie herself has thanked the fans and the music world for their support in light of her Diddy claims. “This healing journey is never ending,” she noted in a written statement. “But this support means everything to me. Thank you.”

Quando Rondo Agrees To Plea Deal In Federal Drug Case

Quando Rondo was on the fast track to stardom in the 2010s, but legal problems reared their ugly head. The rapper was sued for assault and battery in 2019, then was linked to a shooting at an Atlanta club in 2020. It got even worse in 2023. Rondo was arrested in June on charges related to drug sales and gang activity. He was released on bond, but arrested in December when the case turned federal. He pled not guilty to all charges. On June 25, 2024, the rapper decided to cop a plea deal.

United States Attorney Jill E. Steinberg filed documentation in the United States District Court Southern District of Georgia on Tuesday. The documentation stated that both sides have agreed to a plea deal. The details of the plea deal, however, were not revealed to the public. The judge presiding over the case has yet to make a decision on said deal. Quando Rondo is currently looking at two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act. He’s also charged with the use of communication facility in commission of a felony involving controlled substances.

Quando Rondo’s Plea Details Has Not Been Revealed

The rapper has made an attempt to turn his life around in light of these serious charges. Quando Rondo recently celebrated eight months of sobriety on Instagram. “I been sober 8 months straight,” he wrote in the caption. “I came along way boy. Thats the only thing I appreciate about this life I finally love being sober. I used to take so many drugs. Tblacc & Pluto them used to say I’m tripping but I’m surprised I didn’t OD. Thats just mean that I’m here 4 a reason.”

The rapper has also had to contend with hate from King Von fans. The aforementioned Atlanta shooting led to Von’s death, and many of his fans hold Quando Rondo partially responsible. The latter addressed this hate during a recent No Jumper interview. “When God call your a*s home you got to go, brother,” he opined. “So, I feel like everybody who is against me because of a past situation, I don’t give a f**k about them because they never been my fans from the get-go.”
