Raising Hell was the album that exposed Run, D, and Jam Master Jay to mainstream America and made them household names. Songs like “It’s Tricky” and the monumental “Walk This Way” with Aerosmith were heard on both urban and top 40 stations around the country and the globe. As trendsetters, they made Adidas with fat laces and even no laces a worldwide fashion statement with the song “My Adidas”. This recognition earned the trio a multimillion-dollar deal with Adidas, which was unprecedented for musicians of any kind at the time.

Ye is back in his creative bag, recently filing legal documents for the trademark of YEEZY SOCK SHOES. According to Hypebeast, Ye submitted the new design to the United States Patent and Trademark Office on May 4.
The application was filed by Ye’s Mascottee Holdings, Inc., stating the YZY SOCK SHOES will sell “Socks; socks with leather soles.”
Fans got a glimpse of the YEEZY SOCK SHOES following his YEEZY SEASON 10 show in L.A.
Adidas and Kanye West are back in business. News of the renewed partnership comes via the YEEZY MAFIA, a source of all things Yeezy, including his sneaker line.
Confirming the news, Reuters states Adidas CEO Bjoern Gulden revealed the renewed partnership to move some of the merchandise and donate a portion of the proceeds to international organizations.
A reported $1.3 billion in Yeezy-branded Adidas products are sitting in storage after the partnership was ended over the rapper’s antisemitic statements. Gulden stated plans for how Adidas will continue with the sale are not in place.
“What we are trying to do now over time is to sell some of this merchandise … burning the goods would not be a solution,” Gulden said.
Donating the sneakers was not an option out of fear the sneakers would reach the secondary market. Adidas stock is up 2% so far on the day. Ye would still receive 15% of the sales.
Speaking on the rapper, Culden stated about Ye, “As difficult as he was, he is perhaps the most creative mind in our industry.”

Happy 54th Birthday Parrish J. Smith, better known as “PMD”, one half of EPMD
EPMD, the famous duo from Brentwood, Long Island, New York, is an acronym that stands for “Erick and Parrish Making Dollars”. The group has been together for more than three decades from the infamous breakup in the mid 1990s. They are one of the most prominent acts to grace the culture of Hip Hop.
After the very public split of the group because of various reasons, PMD continued to navigate the careers of Hip Hop icons Das EFX, who he was responsible for finding, before eventually making amends with Erick Sermon to make another classic EPMD album at the turn of the millennium.
Parrish Smith continues to be a recognizable force within the structure of Hip Hop’s movers and shakers and his contributions will be forever etched in stone.

Mogul/Rapper Jay-Z is allegedly trying to get approval to run a Caesars Palace casino in Times Square!
In an open letter to New York City officials after “conflicted parties” attempted to “spread disinformation,” the Brooklyn Billionaire is urging them to grant Roc Nation a gaming license to open a casino in conjunction with property firm SL Green and Caesars Entertainment.
The company set out a plan that it claims will attract more tourists to the city as well as improving New Yorkers’ lives.
It’s also promising $115 million for “diverse theater programs” that would cover daycare costs for Broadway workers.
Roc Nation said its plan includes investing in sanitation and security in the Times Square area and vowed to “protect the interests” of the Broadway theater community.
The company says the winning casino bidder “must always put the well-being of New Yorkers at the top of their agenda and do right by its residents.”
It argues that the group is committed to maintaining Times Square’s connection with “all facets of culture” and that there was no better location for a Caesars Palace casino than the “Crossroads of the World.”
Roc Nation joined Caesars Entertainment and SL Green’s bid in December. At the time Jay-Z said: “My partnership with SL Green and Caesars, this coalition, has all the promise and commitment to economic opportunity, growth and enrichment for the community, and everyone who visits the Empire State.”
Applicants for the gaming license must pay a non-refundable $1 million fee, according to The New York Times, and be prepared to invest $500 million and an additional $500 million in fees. Thoughts?

A trailer that was released a few weeks ago shows that the bef started when Hernandez said that Rose was ambiguous about her blackness. The still image that has gone viral on the web has many speculating who won the fight, which could definitely have potential viewers tuned in to the next episode.
Last night, Brian McKnight responded to the “false narrative” that he’s a deadbeat father who shades his black children while doting over his mixed stepchildren.
McKnight was formerly sued by his daughter, Briana, who says he “maliciously defamed” her on social media by claiming she had an affair with her older cousin when she was a minor. The lawsuit was settled out of court in February.
McKnight has 5 children — sons Brian and Niko from his first marriage to college sweetheart Julie McKnight, daughter Briana from a previous relationship, and 2 sons by his current wife, Leilani Malia Mendoza. Their first son died shortly after birth in 2022.
Despite claims there’s no abandonment issues the singer has gone on a gaslighting streak on Instagram praising his new family and son ho he also named Brian McKnight Jr. although his oldest son bears that name.
“Wait… your oldest is named Brian McKnight Jr, then you turn around and name this one Brian McKnight?… the audacity,” one follower wrote on Instagram.
In response to the criticism, McKnight re-posted images shared by his wife to prove he spends quality time with his Black children.
“Not sure how these posts that have been sitting here this whole time were left out of the false narrative that is trending,” he wrote in the post caption.

Last year, rapper Nicki Minaj sued gossip vlogger Marley Greene aka Nosey Heaux for defamation of character when she accused Nicki of using cocaine. The controversial vlogger also made a series of negative comments about the rapper’s son. Well now Nosey Heaux wants the case tossed out.

The blogger who accused Nicki Minaj of abusing drugs has demanded the rapper’s lawsuit be thrown out of court, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Marley Greene aka “Nosey Heaux” has denied all allegations of wrongdoing in the case accusing her of defamation.
Last year, Minaj sued Green for allegedly spreading lies about her using drugs and making “vile” comments about her son. The rapper took issue with the woman “falsely and maliciously” claiming Minaj is a “cokehead” who is “shoving all this c—– up her nose.”
Her lawsuit read, “In just the day following Green’s September 12, 2022 publication of her lie that [Minaj] is a “cokehead” on her Twitter page, almost 2,000 people had “liked” it. More importantly, more than 260 people had retweeted it, which led to a firestorm of social media attention which was undoubtedly caused by multiple levels of subsequent retweets. While social media is an extraordinarily effective vehicle for spreading lies, it does not confer a license to do so.”
Minaj demanded unspecified compensatory damages plus punitive damages.
In her newly filed response, obtained by RadarOnline.com, the blogger argued that, “The complained-of-acts of these answering Defendants were justified and privileged under the circumstances, including but not limited to truth, fair comment and opinion.”
Further, Greene said any damages “suffered by [Minaj] was a direct and proximate result of her own misconduct and actions.”
In addition, she said she didn’t publish any “defamatory statements” concerning Minaj. Greene has asked for the entire lawsuit to be dismissed and Minaj not to be awarded a dime in the case.
