In the latest turn of events in the unraveling saga of the YSL RICO trial with ATL trap rapper Young Thug and his YSL conglomerate, one of the state’s witnesses complained about not being able to stay awake because h was too high.

About two minutes into the above footage, Adrian Bean admitted he was sleepy while on the stand and that he was so high that he might fall asleep. Bena even requested water from the prosecutors in order to help him stay awake during his testimony. Bean’s eyes appeared to be squinted above the covid mask he donned during his appearance.

Bean is testifying about a 2013 incident allegedly involving Young Thug, alleging he doesn’t recall the events. He was concerned about death threats, harassment and losing his job because of his involvement in the case. Bean claimed prosecutors were targeting him and inquired if he was on trial, to which the judge clarified that he was only summoned as a witness.

Screenshot 2024 03 20 at 8.58.39 AM

It’s been nearly a decade since the release of Slum Village’s last proper full-length album. 2015’s critically acclaimed Yes! further cemented T3 and Young RJ‘s ability to effectively carry on the legacy of the seminal rap group, retaining its essence while evolving its sound with fresh new energy. Since then, the two have gone on to pursue solo endeavors. However, with last year’s sold out tour in Europe, and the release of the Larry June and The Dramatics-assisted “Just Like You“, it was revealed that the duo was back in the lab together working on a new Slum Village album. With the release of the smoothed-out, Earlly Mac-assisted “Request” at the top of 2024, the new album’s title, FUN, was revealed.  Now, Slum Village taps legendary soul singer/songwriter Eric Roberson, and keyboardist Elijah Fox for a soulful new jam, “Factor”, and reveals that FUN will release via Ne’Astra Music/Virgin Music Group on April 19.

Slum Village is set to return to Europe for the FUN Since 92 Tour, kicking off on April 4 in Bologna, Italy. Following their 28 tour dates in Europe, T3 and Young RJ will join SZA and Jack Harlow in Louisville, Kentucky for the Gazebo Festival in May.

[WATCH] Bentley Driver Fights Off Carjackers Outside Supermarket in New Jersey

Video surveillance captured the driver of an orange Bentley truck bravely fighting off a trio of would-be carjackers in the parking lot of a grocery store in Edison, New Jersey this past Friday. The three underage robbers approached the vehicle owner as soon as he finished parking. The victim managed to escape and run inside of the store to call the police.

The driver was previously a victim of a carjacking a couple of years ago after getting his Mercedes G-Class SUV stolen.

Edison Mayor Sam Josh says he is increasing police presence and implementing measures such as license plate readers to address the issue. Joshi emphasized the need for changes in state laws regarding juvenile crime to effectively combat the problem.

We can get a glimpse of Ye’s recording process for Vultures. The closing verse on “CARNIVAL” was recorded while at least 25 people surrounded him.

Earlier this month, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Their collaborative, stadium-sounding anthem, “Carnival,” featuring Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti, hit No. 1.

“Carnival” now makes Ye the first rap artist to have a No. 1 in three decades (the 2000s, ‘10s and ‘20s).

According to Luminate, “Carnival” secured the 1,165th No. 1 spot in the 65-year history of the Hot 100. It amassed 33.7 million streams (up 4%), garnered 3.9 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 85%), and sold 3,000 downloads (up 15%) during the tracking week of March 1-7.

With “Carnival,” Ye claims his fifth Hot 100 chart-topper, following hits like Katy Perry’s “E.T.” (featuring Ye), which spent five weeks at No. 1 starting in April 2011, among others. Ty Dolla $ign previously led the Hot 100 for a week in June 2018 as featured on Post Malone’s “Psycho.”

It is the first No. 1 record for Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti.

Additionally, “Carnival” maintains its reign for a second week atop both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, utilizing a similar multimetric methodology as the Hot 100.

Kobe Bryant’s 2000 Championship Ring Gifted to His Father Heads to Auction

Screen Shot 2024 03 20 at 7.40.23 AM

Kobe Bryant’s 2000 Championship ring is listed for sale at Goldin Auctions. This piece of sports history is notably distinct from the executive rings awarded directly to the players. Instead, it is a replica of the exact ring given to Bryant and his Los Angeles Lakers teammates following their 2000 championship victory. Kobe Bryant made the thoughtful gesture of ordering this extra ring specifically for his father, a former NBA player himself.

The sale of this memorabilia is not the first instance of items gifted to Bryant’s parents finding their way onto the market. Back in 2013, a significant legal dispute arose when Bryant’s parents attempted to auction off memorabilia to finance a new house, leading to a lawsuit that was eventually settled. The agreement permitted the sale of less than 10% of the originally intended auction items. Among those, the ring stands out as the sole piece Kobe ever gifted to his father, enhancing its uniqueness and emotional weight. Accompanying the ring in the auction is a letter of authenticity from Kobe’s mother, Pamela Bryant, further attesting to its provenance.

Kobe Bryant’s relationship with his parents has been publicly known to have its challenges. In a candid 2016 interview with ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Kobe expressed the strain in their relationship, describing it as “sh*t.” He pinpointed the attempted sale of his memorabilia in 2013 as a significant source of friction, revealing the deep-seated issues that extended beyond mere financial disputes.

In a move that rekindles past family disputes, the late Kobe Bryant’s 2000 NBA championship ring, which he had originally gifted to his father Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, is now up for auction. This development adds another layer to the complex relationship between the basketball legend and his parents, highlighting previous legal and personal conflicts.

CBS News reports that the ring is listed for sale at Goldin Auctions. This act underscores the personal value and familial significance behind the item now set to be auctioned.
