[WATCH] Fat Joe Responds to People Saying He Lied About His Unreleased Album With Biggie

Screen Shot 2023 08 01 at 2.16.59 PM

Terror Squad general Fat Joe has wowed fans and critics alike with his never-mentioned-before stories involving the likes of 50 Cent, Mike Tyson, the late Big Pun, and of course, The Notorious B.I.G. As some continue to call cap on Joe’s most recent claims that he was working on a joint album with the late B.I.G. before he was killed in 1997, Joey Crack doubles down on all of his statements as truth and says he has a host of reputable and known people to back him up.

In one of his most recent interviews, Fat Joe says that there were five songs that he and Biggie recorded together, but after the death of B.I.G. and ‘Pac, it was decided that it was best not to release the tracks. He adds that he’s kept a lot of brewing beef from boiling over, and artists such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Common, and Busta Rhymes can attest to his savvy skills of squashing beef.

See Joe’s response to the critics’ claims below.

Today In Hip Hop History: Big L’s Second And Final Album ‘The Big Picture’ Dropped 23 Years Ago

On this date in 2000, Big L’s posthumous album The Big Picture was released on Rawkus Records. The LP was originally slated as the late Lamont Coleman’s debut album, but L was tragically murdered in Harlem while the album was in production.

The album was produced by DJ Premier, Ron Browz, Ron G, Lord Finesse, Pete Rock, Shomari, Mike Heron, Ysae, and Showbiz and features appearances from Fat Joe, Guru, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane and the late Tupac Shakur.

Big L is regarded as one of the games best emcees that never got their chance in the spotlight, however, because of his ability to foresee great talent, he was the one who introduced Jay-Z as a force in 90s era crime rhyme, which dominated NYC Hip Hop via the Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show in 89.9 FM in 1995.

Big up to the Rawkus team, the entire DITC and Big L himself for this eternal Hip Hop classic!

Today In Hip Hop History: Fat Joe’s Debut Album ‘Represent’ Turns 30 Years Old!

On this date in 1993, legendary DITC delegate Fat Joe dropped his debut full-length studio album Represent on the Relativity/Violator imprint.

In 2020, Fat Joe is recognized as one of the icons of NYC Hip Hop, however, back in 1993, Joe was knee-deep in the streets and having only appeared on Diggin’ In The Crates founder Diamond D’s Stunts, Blunts And Hip Hop album was fairly a newcomer to the rap game. With assistance from his DITC crew members Diamond, Lord Finesse, and Showbiz behind the boars, Joe formulated one of the most integral audible time capsules of the era. Tracks like the Beatnuts-powered “Shit Iz Real”, “You Must Be Out Of You Fuckin’ Mind” featuring the late Apache of the Flavor Unit and Kool G Rap and the premiere single “Flow Joe” were all foundational examples of the “Fat Joe Da Gangsta” persona that is now respected and celebrated in 2020.

Salute to the late Chris Lighty, Fat Joe, Diamond D, Lord Finesse, Showbiz, and the entire DITC for this timeless piece of Hip Hop history!

Tony Yayo Talks G-Unit and 50 Cent Not Liking “Many Men” on ‘Drink Champs’

Tony Yayo Talks G-Unit and 50 Cent Not Liking "Many Men" on 'Drink Champs'

Tony Yayo’s podcast tour is continuing. In an upcoming episode of Drink Champs, the G-Unit soldier revealed 50 Cent was not a fan of the song “Many Men” at first. Additional topics in the episode include the downfall of G-Unit, working alongside rappers, being wrapped up in 50 Cent’s many beefs, and more.

Previously, PistolPete linked up with G-Unit lieutenant Tony Yayo in the streets of NYC, giving props to each other— gangster to gangster.

With the rest of the G-Unit soldiers sporting TS baseball caps, Yayo recounts the 2006 beef with the BX-based crew headed by Fat Joe.

“Yo, the realest beef was with Terror Squad,” Tony Yayo said. “He was a real n-gga, I gotta give it up. The realest beef was with Fat Joe and them. We outside.” Pistol Pete resplied, “Tony Yayo, we fuck with you, though. We out here in the trenches, n-gga. We out here, fuck all that. We out here together, n-gga, a bunch of real n-ggas.”

Fat Joe Reacts To Getting Roasted For His “Dick From Kansas” NBA Draft Comment

Fat Joe appeared as a guest on ESPN recently, weighing in on the 2023 NBA draft. He unfortunately garnered some attention for claiming to like “Dick from Kansas,” meaning the Kansas Jayhawks’ Gradey Dick. The rapper was immediately clowned online for the comment, and now he’s taken to social media to respond.

“Shoutout to Cam’ron and Ma$e for not roasting me yet,” he said during a recent Instagram Live. “Everywhere I been going, they been like, ‘Yo, you like Dick from Kansas?’ His name is Gradey Dick, a white boy who’s dead nice in Kansas. But it’s okay,” Fat Joe continued. The artist insists that the jokes don’t bother him, as he’s confident in himself.

Fat Joe Likes Gradey Dick

Fat Joe continued, “And I’m too old to play the pause game. I’m for everybody. Hey, you take it how you want to. I’m very confident in who I am. I’m Joe Crack Da Don. I don’t play the pause game. That’s years ago. And aye, I don’t think nothing of it.” He then revealed that he didn’t even question the comment before he said it, claiming that he doesn’t have a problem with the ongoing jokes. “When I say stuff, I mean it,” he described, “I don’t know how to explain it to you. I don’t have a problem. He continued, “I didn’t think twice when I was talking to Stephen A. [Smith] at the draft. I didn’t think twice of what I said.” He went on, “People were like, ‘Yo, you’re trending right now.’ ‘Yo, you said Dick from Kansas.’ Yo bro, we go viral and we don’t even try.”

The NBA draft comment isn’t the only thing Fat Joe has defended recently. Earlier this week, he defended his use of the n-word during a podcast, calling controversy surrounding the use “mind-boggling.” He went on to say, “You obviously know I’m wit Black people all day. I fight for Black people, I fight for Latinos every day of my life.”

Sexyy Red Will Join Fat Joe And Lil Baby On The Days Of Summer Cruise Fest

The Days Of Summer Cruise Festival has added another rising star to its upcoming slate. Sexyy Red will board the Norwegian Sky cruise ship in Miami along with previously announced headliners Future and Lil Baby and fellow new addition Fat Joe. In addition to her performance duties, she’s also signed on to help out at one of the other activities: a mental health workshop hosted by the founders of SoMypolar, a nonprofit organization that services the mental health community.

The workshop is scheduled for July 4th, with the cruise itself running from July 2nd to July 5th, sailing through Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay. The festival debuted in 2019 with Cardi B, City Girls, Dej Loaf, and Post Malone. There are still a few cabins left and way more activities on the itinerary, including a beach party on a private island, a pajama party, an all-white party, a hip-hop comedy show, and a hip-hop workout class. You can find more info here.

Sexyy Red’s addition to the cruise is just one more example of how quickly her star has risen this year after her breakout singles “Born By The River” and “Pound Town” took the internet by storm. In just a few short months, the St. Louis star has received a co-sign from Nicki Minaj, stole the show at the BET Awards, and irritated conservatives — all signs that she’s doing something right.
