Fortunately, Paul is a first time offender. Paul’s attorney, Brian Bieber, confirmed that he was a free man as of December 17. “Mr. Paul’s case was formally dismissed today,” Bieber told The Hollywood Reporter. “Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program.” The attorney went on to confirm that his client completed the program. Diddy, however, has not been so lucky. The mogul has had his bond requests denied three separate times. He will seemingly spend the months leading up to his 2025 trial behind bars.

A source told Us Weekly that Diddy is trying to stay positive while behind bars. “He’s trying to stay positive,” they explained. They also noted that the Combs family is struggling to maintain a positive outlook, given that their father will spend Christmas locked up. “The holidays will be especially hard for the family without their father,” the source added. The outlet also detailed Diddy’s latest visit with his family. “He smiled, waved, blew them kisses and mouthed ‘I love you’ to them,” the source reported. “[Diddy’s face] lit up.” Diddy maintains his innocence despite contending with several charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. “He looks forward to proving his innocence,” a public statement from his attorney’s read. “And vindicating himself in court if and when claims are filed and served.”

Diddy’s Alleged Drug Mule Avoids Jail Time After Accepting Cushy Plea Deal

Diddy's Alleged Drug Mule Avoids Jail Time After Accepting Cushy Plea Deal

Sean Diddy Combs’ alleged drug mule, Brendan Paul, has secured a deal to avoid jail time. Remember that guy? He used to play for Syracuse basketball before rolling with Diddy. Full stop. How did that ever happen? Anyway, PEOPLE confirmed that Paul, who was arrested in March for possession of cocaine and marijuana amid federal sex trafficking accusations involving the hip-hop mogul, has entered a drug diversion program. This development means that Paul will avoid jail if he completes the program successfully.

“Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program which, after completion, the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety,” said Brian Bieber, Paul’s attorney, in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

A representative for the Miami-Dade State Attorney stated that this was a “standard offer to a non-violent defendant with no priors,” according to TMZ.

Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player, was arrested on March 27 on felony charges of cocaine and marijuana possession. An affidavit obtained by PEOPLE indicated that Miami-Dade police, working with Homeland Security agents, apprehended Paul at Opa-Locka airport while simultaneously raiding Combs’ two homes. The affidavit claimed that Paul had suspected cocaine and marijuana in his travel bags at the time of his arrest.

Paul had also been named in a civil sexual assault lawsuit filed by Combs’ former producer and videographer, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. Jones alleged that Paul was Combs’ “mule” responsible for acquiring and distributing his “drugs and guns.”

Despite Paul’s arrest, there did not appear to be a direct connection to the 54-year-old artist known for “I’ll Be Missing You.”

In a statement to PEOPLE on March 27, Attorney Bieber said, “We do not plan on trying this case in the media — all issues will be dealt with in court.”

The Miami-Dade police department declined to comment on the matter. In April, Paul was formally charged with felony cocaine possession. However, court documents revealed that an additional felony charge for marijuana-laced candy was dropped.

Diddy’s Alleged Drug Mule Arrested Amid Homeland Security Raids: Report

Life has changed a lot for Sean Combs over the past six months, and despite constantly denying the harrowing allegations rising against him, it doesn’t look as though he’ll be restored to his former glory anytime soon. On Monday (March 25) Homeland Security raided two of Diddy’s properties, even putting his sons Justin and Christian Combs in handcuffs in the process. Reports about the New Yorker’s whereabouts initially suggested he was on a private jet fleeing the country, but we’ve since seen footage of him pacing back and forth in Miami, suggesting he’s still on American soil but not under arrest.

On Tuesday (March 26), Rolling Stone came through with another update suggesting that 25-year-old Brendan Paul was arrested in connection with yesterday’s home raids. The young man is facing accusations of being a drug mule for Diddy and was taken in by the Miami-Dade Police Department at the Opa-Locka Airport around 4:30 PM. This was around the same time that authorities arrived at the “I’ll Be Missing You” artist’s Los Angeles and Miami homes. As XXL notes, Paul was recently named in Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ lawsuit against Combs.

New Information on Diddy’s Rumoured Drug Mule Comes to Light

According to Rod’s testimony, he’s “personally witnessed” Diddy’s “mule” partake in “acquiring and distributing” drugs. We’re waiting for more official updates on the situation, with the most recent headlines revealing that Cuba Gooding Jr. is facing accusations of “fondling” the alleged victim in the same lawsuit.

50 Cent certainly seems to think the very worst about Diddy and his cohorts, but not everyone believes that the Bad Boy mogul is the real villain. According to Candace Owens and others, Combs is the “fall guy” in this situation, and the feds are using his allegations to hide evidence about the Jeffrey Epstein lists and other heinous crimes.
