Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Take It Back To The Prohibition Era In New Short Film For “Gin & Juice”

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have teamed up for a short film to promote their new alcoholic beverage, Gin & Juice. In the nearly 3-minute long piece, the two reflect on the “origins” of the drink and take it back to the 1930s. Country singer Hardy stars in the film alongside actress Nicola Peltz Beckham. Hardy performs a remix of Snoop and Dre’s 1993 hit of the same name as the drink.

“The entire ‘Gin & Juice’ process has been a dream for me,” Hardy said in a press release. “I recorded the song and in a few short weeks I was on set with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. It didn’t feel real until I showed up and I saw the names on the trailers. I spent two days with them and I can honestly say they are two of the coolest, most genuine people and they made me feel right at home. I am so thankful for the experience and I’m looking forward to hanging with those guys again.”

Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Perform At Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show

In a previous press release, Hardy detailed how the collaboration came together. “A while back, I got a phone call saying that Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg would like for me to record my own version of ‘Gin and Juice’ for the launch of their new drink, Gin & Juice. I’m still in disbelief, but I am so stoked that I’m dropping my version of ‘Gin and Juice’ with the blessing of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg themselves. Thankful for the opportunity,” he said.

Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Launch New Drink “Gin & Juice”: See Promo Videos

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre still have to release their collab album Missionary, but that’s not slowing them down in other areas. Moreover, they just released some promotional material for their brand new alcoholic drink, “Gin & Juice,” although we don’t know much about the product, release timeline, distribution, and other areas. One of the clips shows off the can itself, and it looks like it will be available in melon, apricot, citrus, and passionfruit flavors. The other commercial shows the two West Coast legends recreating the iconic opening scene from Martin Scorsese’s 1990 mob classic, Goodfellas. Hopefully the drink gets a pretty wide release, because so many folks out there want a taste of what Tha Doggfather was rapping about on his 1993 debut, Doggystyle.

Furthermore, it’s no surprise that these hip-hop titans would eventually want to release a drink together, especially after everything they already did in the pop culture sphere. It also represents Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s massive reach in the entertainment and business worlds. For example, one of the most notable parts of U2’s opening Las Vegas residency show at the Sphere was that the former Death Row duo showed up to party; no shade to Bono and the gang, though. It was just great to see them in an environment of success and notoriety for rap artists that they helped create.

Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s “Gin & Juice” Promos: Watch

Of course, they are both quite busy individually as well, both in their personal lives and in their careers. For example, Snoop Dogg recently made big headlines, along with Master P, for their legal action against Walmart. Apparently, the company attempted to sabotage the Snoop Cereal brand, and they’re currently in the opening stages of a legal battle to settle the matter. It’s definitely not what we expected from 2024, but in this day and age, nothing’s easy to predict.

Meanwhile, the star producer was honored, along with the rest of N.W.A., by the Grammys recently with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He wasn’t there for the ceremony, but did pull up to the actual televised awards handout that weekend. We’ll see where the road takes them next, and how much longer we’ll have to wait for Missionary. For more news and the latest updates on Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, stay up to date on HNHH.

Ice Spice Rejects Drink From A Fan In Resurfaced Video

Ice Spice remains one of the hottest newcomers in hip-hop right now. Back in 2022, Spice burst onto the scene thanks to her hit track “Munch.” Overall, this track was a huge success that led to her getting even more hit tracks. Subsequently, she has been able to work with the likes of Nicki Minaj and even Taylor Swift. Going into the Grammy Awards, she has four nominations, which is truly impressive. At this point, one could make the argument that she has one of the brightest futures we have seen in quite a long time.

That said, anything Ice Spice related has the potential to go viral. Simply put, people love the rap star. In fact, on Twitter yesterday, a video popped up that actually comes from the TikTok of a Bronx rapper named Naughtyy. The video is almost a year old and shows Ice Spice chilling at the club. As you can see, Naughtyy brings the rapper a drink which leads to a short exchange. Spice takes the drink and places it behind her. However, there is a deeper story to all of it.

Ice Spice Was Polite About It

Naughtyy is narrating the video and she explains how Spice told her that she doesn’t drink. Regardless, Naughtyy insisted that the artist take the drink and give it to a friend. Eventually, Spice did just that and put it down behind her. Naughtyy eventually acknowledges how she believes Spice probably thought she was trying to poison her. After all, accepting drinks at the club from people can be a dangerous game. You always have to be cognizent of your surroundings, no matter what.

Hopefully, this serves as a lesson to all of you who plan on going out to the club. It is much better to be safe than sorry. Let us know what you thought of Ice Spice turning down the drink, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

Drake Shares How To Make His Favorite Drink

Drake has shared how he makes his favorite drink, which uses, Onda, a seltzer with a tequila base, as well as passionfruit. In a video circulating on social media, he gives fans step-by-step instructions to mimick the drink.

“They wanna know what it is. It’s the Onda,” he begins in the clip. “All you do, bust a can of that orange. The can is orange. That’s why I say that. Bust a can of that Onda, lots of ice, pour it over the ice, fresh passionfruit in there, stir it up like Bob Marley would say.”

It’s not the only time Drake has spoken out about his love for Onda. In another interview that popped up on TikTok, last week, he discussed the drink .“Everybody always sees me with this drink and they ask me what it is and they ask me for one,” Drake said in the TikTok clip. “It’s an Onda; a tequila spritz-esque cocktail, passion fruit flavor by the way.” He went on to shout out actress Shay Mitchell who once made an appearance on Degrassi. “Shout out to my brother Matt, shout out to Shay — of course, Shay Mitchell — who came up with this product,” he said. “And now I drink it every day. I’m probably on my millionth glass.” Check out the clips below.

Drake Details His Favorite Drink

Drake’s comments on Onda come after he hosted an extravagant birthday party earlier this week. At the event, he had Breaking Bad co-stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston tending the bar. Together, the two founded the mezcal company, Dos Hombres, back in 2019. Be on the lookout for further updates on Drake on HotNewHipHop.

Travis Scott Almost Ruins Party By Spilling Drink Near Turntable

Travis Scott’s been having quite the busy, fun, and magnanimous 2023, enjoying the success of his new album UTOPIA. However, sometimes that fun can get you out of the zone, and risk ruining a party for everyone else. Moreover, a recent clip emerged of La Flame partying at what seems like a club, playing some tracks on a turntable. Wouldn’t it be wild to see what he can do for a DJ set, considering his tendency for transitions and vibe shifts? Anyways, that aside, his “set” almost came to a screeching halt thanks to him spilling one of his Cacti seltzer cans.

Of course, Travis Scott played it off, looking down at the drink he spilled on himself and looking like he was waiting for the whole sound system to shut down. Then, his befuddled expression turned into a relieved smile as he realized that he didn’t get the decks wet. Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar’s “No More Parties In LA” kept playing, and the crowd still cheered on as the banger blared through the speakers. At least we now know that, if the Houston MC is going to show off his mixing skills one day, he’s got to steer himself clear of open containers.

Travis Scott Might Want A Sippy Cup For His Next Night Out

Regardless, this surely won’t be the last time that he hits up a club; in fact, he made it quite clear this year and previously that he loves the atmosphere. The “I KNOW ?” hitmaker partied at the E11EVEN nightclub in Miami earlier this year, and has hit up a lot of club spots for performances and appearances. Most recently, he joined Don Toliver at a Vegas spot to perform as a special guest, and they electrified the crowd. Trav’s always looking for a good time, and venues are happy to host him.

Meanwhile, fans are already waiting on new music from the 32-year-old, although it’s through his features. One of those will be on Offset’s upcoming album, and their tease of it a while back during a Rolling Loud set has fans hyped. Another anticipated collab is with Playboi Carti, who previewed it during his birthday bash. No matter what’s on the horizon, the Cactus Jack boss is always tapped into the sound; let’s just hope his branded seltzer doesn’t cut it out. Jokes aside, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Travis Scott.
