6ix9ine Jeered By Large Crowd While Being Arrested In The Dominican Republic, Mugshot Surfaces Online

6ix9ine is someone who always seems to be getting themself into some trouble. Overall, that is what he made his name off of. In 2018, he was arrested for his association with Bloods in New York. He was subsequently hit with a hefty RICO case that he eventually got off on. The rapper got two years in prison for his cooperation. However, he was released early as COVID-19 began to run rampant in the prisons. Now, 6ix9ine is in more legal trouble, this time in the Dominican Republic.

As we reported last week, the rapper and some of his goons ran up on two producers from the Dominican. Allegedly, these men had disrespected the rapper’s girl. This led to a beatdown of sorts that was being investigated by authorities. According to the outlet Portes, 6ix9ine ended up getting arrested last night. The artist was trying to flee the country on a private jet. However, that did not work out too well for him. Instead, he was taken away in front of a large crowd that cheered and jeered, all at the same time.

6ix9ine In Trouble

It remains to be seen what will happen to 6ix9ine in the Dominican Republic. As a United States citizen, being arrested in a foreign country is never ideal. It can be difficult to get representation, even if you are a rich celebrity. That said, in the Instagram post below, you can find his mugshot. Overall, the rapper did not look impressed, which makes a lot of sense given the circumstances.

6ix9ine Reportedly Arrested For Assault

Earlier today, some footage of 6ix9ine and his associates pulling up to a recording studio in the Dominican Republic started circulating online. According to reports, he and the men had showed up there to confront some producers. Apparently, the rainbow-haired rapper was upset that the producers inside had worked with his girlfriend, Yailin La Mas Viral. While some reports claim that the men “disrespected” her, others suggest he was simply jealous.

In two different clips, taken by security cameras outside, he and the associates can be seen appearing to go into the studio. They’re later seen running out. It’s unclear exactly what went down in the time between the two clips, however, new reports suggest it wasn’t good. Reportedly, 6ix9ine was recently arrested, and is now being accused of assaulting two men.

6ix9ine Accused Of Assaulting Two Men

According to recent post by DJ Akademiks, the rapper had been attempting to board a private jet when authorities refused to let him leave the Dominican Republic. They then arrested him for alleged assault. An Instagram post by a criminal lawyer in the Dominican Republic, Felix Humberto Portes Nuñez, suggests that soon, he will be transported to La Vega.

It looks these recent reports aren’t the only legal troubles 6ix9ine is facing either. Earlier this month, SteveWillDoIt alleged that the rapper didn’t fulfill a contract he signed with video platform Rumble. According to him, 6ix9ine agreed to “play video games once a week for an hour” in exchange for $2 million. He further accused him of spending the $2 million on gifts for various women in order to “make his ex jealous,” leaving Steve holding the bag. Steve also claims that 6ix9ine fakes his giveaways. 6ix9ine has yet to respond to his allegations. What do you think of 6ix9ine’s reported arrest? 6ix9ine Draws Huge Crowd For Music Video In The Dominican Republic

6ix9ine is traveling a lot these days as he’s shooting for a lot of new music videos and material. Of course, many see this as a way to sidestep his recent gym beatdown and return to the public eye in a less embarrassing way. Regardless of those assumptions, the New York MC will likely see plenty of success for his new material, especially as it switches up what he’s usually known for. This time, he popped out at the Dominican Republic drawing a huge crowd in the neighborhood. It seems like his song is a commercial blend of pop and Latin-inspired sounds like reggaetón.

Whether you like his new output or not, it’s clear that 6ix9ine is really trying to appeal to another market entirely. Still, his previous collaborations with Anuel AA (which haven’t aged all that well considering their beef) also hinted towards other sounds that weren’t aggressive trap bangers. As such, maybe he just wants to develop other parts of his career further. Despite detractors, it doesn’t hurt that said market grows every day, from what it seems.

6ix9ine Brings A Whole Neighborhood Out For MV

Meanwhile, 6ix9ine also tapped one of the hottest artists from the Dominican Republic of the moment. In a social media clip, the rainbow-haired artist gives a massive chain to Angel Dior, a rising dembow artist known for his incredibly fast flows, nasal inflections, and often comical bars. With these new connections in the DR and other countries in the Caribbean, it seems he’s really trying to tap into his Latino roots. For those who are unaware, Daniel Hernandez is of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent. Whether it’s for the clicks or out of genuine interest, the 26-year-old might be a major player in the Latin space in some time.

Regardless, the “FEFE” artist is also trying to stay varied in his explorations. For example, he recently previewed a new video filmed in Uganda that also goes along these genre-blurring lines. With that in mind, maybe the resurgence of 6ix9ine in the music world will look much different than his come-up, which will start a heated conversation of its own.
