A Look At Tamar Braxton’s Dating History

Tamar Braxton has undoubtedly paid her dues in the music industry. She has significantly contributed, alongside her siblings, to the growth of R&B. However, the veteran singer has not been as successful with love as with music. When it comes to romantic relationships, over the years, Braxton has opened up her heart several times.

Regardless, so far, only one of those relationships has stood the test of time. In October 2023, the singer’s most recent romance ended. Her engagement to Jeremy Robinson was called off after only a few months of being with him. Nonetheless, fans continue to root for her as she heals and eventually finds her perfect match. Until then, here are the times Tamar Braxton has taken a chance at love.

Darrell “Delite” Allamby (2000-2003)

Darrell Allamby is a Grammy-nominated record producer and songwriter. He and Tamar Braxton met in 2000 when the singer worked on her solo debut album, Tamar. While producing and co-writing “Money Can’t Buy Love” and “Once Again,” Allamby took a liking to Braxton. Evidently, Miss Braxton liked him back, and they started dating soon after. Thereafter, in 2001, the couple got married, and for two years, their relationship went strong. By 2003, however, the flame of their romance seemed to have burned out. They went their separate ways that same year and have stayed apart since then.

Vincent Herbert (2003-2017)

Vincent Herbert is a producer, songwriter, and record executive and, for a time, was Tamar Braxton’s manager. Given how long Braxton and Herbert were together, one would think or hope they would stay together forever. Well, that’s not how things played out, to the shock and dismay of some fans. After her breakup with Allamby in 2003, the stars seemed to align for Braxton when she fell for Herbert. They kicked their relationship off pretty smoothly, dating from 2003 until November 2008, when they got married.

Five years later, Logan Vincent Herbert was born, the couple’s first and only child. Meanwhile, in 2012, Braxton and Herbert premiered their reality TV series Tamar & Vince on WEtv. It was a spin-off of Braxton Family Values and ran for five seasons between 2012 and 2017. Throughout their time together, the two faced several challenges and experienced many rough patches in their relationship. However, it was in 2017 that they finally decided to call it quits. In October that year, before their ninth wedding anniversary, Tamar Braxton filed for divorce. Subsequently, their divorce was finalized in 2019.

David Adefeso (2018-2020)

Tamar Braxton and David Adefeso began dating in 2018 and often shared glimpses of their romance on social media. Adefeso, a Nigerian businessman and financial expert, gained public attention due to his relationship with the R&B star. Until 2020, when things ended between the two, things seemed to be going great. Unfortunately, it didn’t take very long to crumble. Following Braxton’s suicide attempt, it was Adefeso who found her. Braxton revealed on The Tamron Hall Show that her “household became very hard, and it was hard because I wasn’t happy at my job, and I hadn’t been happy for years.”

It all went downhill from there, even up to the point where Adefeso filed a restraining order against the singer for alleged domestic violence. Braxton has strongly denied the accusations, however, alleging instead that Adefeso cheated on her when they were together. Their relationship did not end on a good note, but they seem to have a cordial relationship nowadays. The businessman and singer have since shouted each other out on social media, causing speculations about them getting back together.

Jeremy “JR” Robinson (2023)

Tamar Braxton participated alongside Evelyn Lozada and Nivea in the recent reality TV show on Peacock, Queens Court. The series, which was created to help the three queens find true love, evidently proved successful with Braxton. The singer left the show booed up with finalist Jeremy Robinson. Although the lawyer has five children from four women, Braxton didn’t mind. She only cared about how she felt with him, and she felt good. In the finale of Queens Court that aired in March, the two got engaged.

Following their engagement, they seemed to be in a good place in the following months. However, in a surprising turn of events, it recently came out that their engagement was called off. On Monday, October 2, 2023, Robinson shared on an Instagram story that he and Braxton are no longer together. It is not yet known what exactly caused the termination of their engagement, but we do hope they both heal.

Since her rise to stardom in the late nineties, the “Princess of Pop” has also been in quite a few high-profile relationships. While some names like Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline stand out, the “Baby One More Time” singer has some other notable names in her dating history. She is currently single, however.

Her recently released memoir, The Woman In Me, has been taking the public down memory lane. Some topics she’s explored include the many highs and lows in her career, as well as her recently ended conservatorship and gaining back her freedom. Additionally, it also shines some light on her romantic history and the intricacies of her relationships. From the brief romances to her deepest loves, let’s take a look at the relationships Britney Spears has had since her rise to fame.

Justin Timberlake (1998 – 2002)

The “Toxic” singer had met Justin Timberlake when they were both child stars on the set of The Mickey Mouse Club in the early nineties. Their friendship eventually blossomed into a dreamy union that lasted four years. Unfortunately, the relationship ended on a sour note in 2002 with rumors of infidelity on the part of both singers.

With the release of The Woman In Me, some previously unknown details about their time together have been revealed. For example, Britney Spears revealed that she terminated her pregnancy because the former NYSNC star “was not ready to be a father.” Understandably, Timberlake has been receiving widespread backlash since these revelations have surfaced.

Wade Robson (2002-2003)

Rumor had it that Britney Spears was hooking up with choreographer, Wade Robson, while she was dating Justin. Perhaps these rumors were fueled by the fact that she got together with him not long after her former relationship ended. Nonetheless, they did share a brief romance between 2002 and 2003. Robson and Spears were together for about a year before they called it quits in 2003.

Colin Farrell (2003)

After things ended with Robson, Britney was linked to both Jared Leto and Fred Durst. However, Spears never admitted to dating any of these men. She did, however, admittedly date Irish actor, Colin Farrell. Moreover, she shared that they had a passionate, sexually driven fling that lasted about two weeks. The pair also were seen making out at a nightclub in L.A.

Columbus Short (2003)

Britney Spears and Columbus Short had a brief fling in 2003. Their romance was rather short-lived, especially as Short had an eight-month pregnant wife at the time. Per Hollywood Life, the affair resulted in the end of Columbus’s marriage. Previously, Columbus had been a backup dancer for Britney, but that also ended after their affair came to light. In his 2020 autobiography, Short Stories, Short revealed that Spears’ parents did not approve of their brief time together. Moreover, he claimed that they referred to him with a racial slur while on the phone to their daughter.

Jason Alexander (2004)

Britney’s shortest relationship is her marriage to Jason Alexander, which lasted only 55 hours. The wedding took place in Las Vegas, and Britney has since admitted she had been drunk and was just having fun. Jason Alexander was a childhood friend, and according to her memoir, they were not in love. The timespan of their annulled marriage quickly became a famous topic at the time.

Kevin Federline (2004-2007)

In the same year of her 55-hour long marriage, Britney fell in love and settled down with Kevin Federline. Federline had once been a backup dancer for Justin Timberlake. The marriage seemed to be going well until 2007, when Britney filed for a divorce due to irreconcilable differences. The union also produced two sons, one in 2005 and another, one year after. Their relationship was widely covered by the media. Post-divorce, Britney Spears became catnip for the paparazzi, especially as her infamous shaved-head “breakdown” occurred soon after their divorce.

Adnan Ghalib (2007-2008)

After ending things with Kevin Federline, Britney briefly dated J.R. Rotem, a music producer. Later that year in December, she surprisingly got with photographer Adnan Ghalib, while he was married. Spears’ relationship with Ghalib also came as a shock because he was a paparazzo. At the time, cameramen and flashing lights were unwelcomingly all over Britney. The relationship was short-lived, however, and ended with Jamie Spears, Britney’s father, filing a restraining order against Ghalib.

Jason Trawick (2009-2013)

Jason Trawick was Britney’s manager at the time, and their relationship was one of her longest. The pair were also engaged, but unfortunately, it was abruptly called off after one year. At the time, the rumor mill insisted that Trawick was simply a spy for Jamie Spears, but he denied it. This rumor was further fueled by the fact that he became a co-conservator with Jamie Spears. Trawick recently received backlash for revealing on Kevin Connelly’s podcast that he believed Britney Spears needed the conservatorship at the time. He claimed Federline was spending a lot of her money and she needed someone to give her “some guidance.”

David Lucado (2013-2014)

Britney Spears met David Lucado at a party and was reportedly introduced to him by her friends. This introduction blossomed into a relationship that lasted for a few months. Unfortunately, Spears had reportedly found a video of David making out with someone else. Expectedly, this led her to call it quits.

Charlie Ebersol (2014-2015)

Britney Spears met Charlie Ebersol through her assistant not long after her split from David Lucado. The relationship lasted for only a few months, as the couple split in mid-2015. Nonetheless, the relationship succeeded in shying away from headlines while it lasted. Ever sold was notably private, while Spears had been adjusting to a more serene lifestyle.

Sam Asghari (2017-2023)

Sam Asghari was Britney’s most recent heartthrob, and their union of six years is her longest ever. Their relationship began in early 2017, but they actually met in 2016 on a music video set. Their relationship went on relatively well, with Sam supporting the pop superstar through the court proceedings that ended her 12-year-long conservatorship. The couple also got married in 2022, with high-profile guests like Drew Barrymore and Madonna in attendance. Unfortunately, they got separated in August 2023, after one year of marriage and a six-year relationship.

Evelyn Lozada and her romantic life have been widely publicized since she gained public attention in 2010. While she was already well-to-do, Lozada wasn’t much in the public eye before 2010. The television personality subsequently became famous, starring as one of the main cast members of Basketball Wives. Since her appearance in the reality show’s first season, Lozada has become a prominent figure in the entertainment industry herself. After that, the model also got into a few high-profile relationships.

Unfortunately, it’s been rocky in the love department despite trying multiple times over the years. Further, Lozada recently announced the end of her engagement to Lavon Lewis. This was an unexpected turn of events, especially following their engagement announcement in March. Nonetheless, these are the men Evelyn Lozada has been romantically involved with, dating back to the 1980s.

Jamal Hairston (1989-1995)

The first known relationship Evelyn Lozada was involved in was with Jamal Hairston, a media personality. When they started dating, they were both teenagers, with Lozada and Hairston being 14 and 16, respectively. As a result, not much is known about their relationship. Given that they were both so young and practically unknown, it’s also not very surprising. One known fact about their relationship, however, is that they share a child. The couple welcomed their daughter, Shaniece Virginia Hairston, in 1993, and subsequently broke up two years later.

Antoine Walker (1998-2008)

Evelyn Lozada’s longest relationship to date was with Antoine Walker. Walker is a former professional basketball player and a three-time NBA All-Star. Although the two were engaged to be married in 2007, they didn’t see it through, and by 2008, they parted ways.

Chad Johnson (2010-2012)

Chad Johnson, formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, is a former professional football player. His relationship with the Basketball Wives star captured media attention and was widely publicized. The couple’s relationship started in early 2010 and quickly escalated. By November of that same year, Johnson and Lozada were engaged to be married. Subsequently, the couple tied the knot in grand style on July 4, 2012.

Their wedding was a lavish ceremony filmed for the reality TV show Ev and Ocho that never aired. Surprisingly, their marriage ended soon after the ceremony took place. In fact, it only took about six weeks for Lozada to file for a divorce following an incident of domestic violence. By that point, according to Lozada, her marriage was irretrievably broken. On September 19, 2012, their divorce was finalized, and their separation was complete.

Carl Crawford (2013-2017)

Carl Crawford is a former professional baseball left fielder. He and Lozada began dating in 2013, and their relationship became widely publicized in the media. Things moved pretty quickly with the pair, as by December, they announced their engagement. Afterward, in March 2014, they welcomed their first and only child, Carl Leo Crawford. Lozada and Crawford’s relationship seemed stable, and they often shared glimpses of their life on social media. However, the couple’s engagement came to an end in August 2017.

Lavon Lewis (2022-2023)

In March 2023, Queens Court, a reality TV show starring Tamar Braxton, Nivea, and Evelyn Lozada, premiered. The show offered the three “queens” the opportunity to have another go at love and take their pick from 21 eligible men. It was on the set of this show that Lozada found her most recent heartthrob, Lavon Lewis. The two became engaged in December 2022, months before the show officially aired on Peacock. Cody Simpson (2011)

Jaden Smith (2013)

Kylie Jenner and Jaden Smith remained friends after their alleged breakup. While Smith and Jenner never actually confirmed that they were a couple, many reports labeled them as one. The pair did spend a lot of time together, and it’s through Jaden that Kylie met Jordyn Woods. However, if they did date, they didn’t last past late 2013 because Jenner was soon affiliated with rapper Tyga.

Tyga (2014 – 2017)

Tyga and Kylie Jenner’s relationship sparked controversy because Jenner was a minor when the two were first rumored to be dating in 2011. However, Tyga renounced every such rumor and supposedly stepped back from Jenner to curb the speculations. At least, he did until 2014, when he hosted Jenner’s 17th birthday. Subsequently, Tyga called off his engagement with Blac Chyna, with whom he shares a child. Although he denied ending things with Chyna because of Jenner, the rapper was soon seen spending much time with her and getting her lavish gifts. Despite being heavily criticized for their relationship, the pair remained together for three years in an on-and-off romance. They ended things for good in 2017.

Travis Scott (2017 – 2023)

Kylie’s relationship with rapper Travis Scott is her longest one yet. The pair was first seen together in April 2017 and soon sparked dating rumors. A couple of months later, the rumors turned out to be true. Following multiple public appearances, their romance was pretty obvious to the press and on-lookers. By September, reports came in that a child from the couple was imminent. Evidently, their relationship had moved quite fast because they had been dating for less than a year at the time.

On February 1, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott welcomed their first child, Stormi. Subsequently, following a break, the couple got back together, and on February 2, 2022, they welcomed their second child. The couple stayed cozy until October when rumors surfaced about Scott cheating on Jenner. Things changed afterward because, by January 2023, reports confirmed that the two had separated, and it doesn’t look like they will be getting back together.

Timothée Chalamet (2023)

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet first stirred up dating rumors in April 2023. Afterward, on April 13, photos emerged of Jenner’s car at Chalamet’s home, piquing the interest of fans and the media. Amid media scrutiny and a not-so-subtle diss on a track off Travis Scott’s latest album, the new couple seem to be having a great time. Jenner and Chalamet made their first public appearance as a couple on September 4, when they attended Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert. At the event, they unabashedly displayed their mutual affection for each other, kissing and cuddling in public.

Jamie Foxx had his first publicly known relationship with Air Force veteran Connie Kline. Foxx, 26 years old at the time, dated Kline for a short while in the ‘90s. Jamie Foxx had his longest relationship with Katie Holmes. It is also the actor’s most high-profile romance to date. While they were an item for six years, the pair did not admit to being together until May 2019, when they attended the Met Gala. In the years leading up to their public debut as a couple, they had sparked dating rumors multiple times. Speculations about the two being together came up many times, occasionally even backed by photos taken of them together. However, neither of the two ever directly addressed the rumors. Alyce Huckstepp (2023)

Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian began a relationship in early 2016. This particular romance gained a massive media following while it lasted, mainly due to the Kardashians’ popularity and the complexity of the pair’s relationship. At the time, Tyga, Blac Chyna’s ex-fiancé, was in a relationship with Kylie, another Kardashian sibling. The drama surrounding the two new pairings was subsequently heavily publicized. Meanwhile, Blac Chyna and Rob’s courtship quickly progressed, and in November 2016, the couple celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Dream. They didn’t last much longer afterward, though. Rob Kardashian accused the model of cheating on him, albeit in a distasteful fashion. They subsequently split up in 2017.

Following her break up with Rob Kardashian, Blac Chyna started dating rapper Mechie So Crazy. Their brief relationship was marked by tons of PDA and precious moments. Unfortunately for the new couple, things turned sour very quickly. By September 2017, they ended their relationship and even unfollowed each other on Instagram.

YBN Almighty Jay (2018)

As far as relationships go, this is Blac Chyna’s most controversial one yet. Jay, 18 years old at the time, allegedly met Blac Chyna online, and they soon took things beyond social media. The couple was first publicly seen together in February 2018, and their relationship quickly sparked controversy. However, by June 2018, the pair split up, with Jay sharing the news via his Instagram story.

After her brief relationship with YBN Almighty Jay, the public didn’t hear much about Blac Chyna’s love life for a while.
