Ronda Rousey Finally Reveals True Reason For Retirement

Ronda Rousey has revealed that her sudden MMA retirement at just 29 was due to her history of concussions. “I’d like people to understand my reasons and motivations behind things. I was forced to leave fighting when I was faster, stronger, more skilled and had a better understanding of the art than ever before. It was a really hard decision to understand, one that my body made for me. So much had to do with having so many concussions when I was in judo before I even got into MMA. I couldn’t talk about it at all when I was doing MMA because it would literally put a target on my head and I might not have been allowed to compete any farther,” Rousey said on Instagram Live.

Rousey retired after back-to-back knockout losses to Holly Holm. Prior to MMA, Rousey was an Olympic medalist in judo, taking bronze at the 2008 Games in Beijing. After leaving the UFC, Rousey turned to professional wrestling for a time. However, she also forged a film career for herself, appearing in Mile 22 after roles in The Expendables 3 and Furious 7.

Ronda Rousey Focused On Motherhood, Not Wrestling

Elsewhere, Rousey told TMZ that she has no immediate plans to return to wrestling, instead focusing on motherhood for the time being. There was speculation that after her contract with the WWE expired, she might move to the rival AEW promotion. However, that does not appear to be the case. “[I’m] just trying to be home with the family, and be a full-time mom,” Rousey said. The speculation arose after Rousey made an appearance on Ring of Honor, a promotion owned by AEW, in November.

Rousey has mostly stepped away from sports since giving birth to her daughter, La’akea. She’s been out of MMA since leaving the UFC in 2016. Furthermore, his time on the WWE, which began in 2018, has never been consistent. She has been used as a surprise gimmick here and there. The primary stint of her wrestling in 2023 has been with independent promotions such as Lucha VaVoom and Wrestling Revolver.

Kanye West Joins Fivio Foreign On New Track “Concussion”

Kanye West is one of the biggest legends in the hip-hop world. However, we really haven’t heard much music from him since Donda 2. Moreover, he has mostly got on some anti-Semitic crusades that have rubbed fans the wrong way. Instead, Ye seems to be more focused on running a Presidential campaign. Furthermore, he has been enjoying married life with his new wife Bianca Censori. It seems to be an exciting time for him, even if he has a lot of legal issues ongoing.

Although, today, fans got to hear from Kanye West again. This is all thanks to Fivio Foreign, who put out a new track and lyric video. The song is called “Concussion,” and it features Ye. West does the first verse and the hook of the song, which is a very exciting prospect for a lot of fans. Not to mention, Fivio Foreign is back, which is amazing for all of the Brooklyn drill supporters out there.

Kanye West x Fivio Once Again

This track is absolutely going to be polarizing due to the production here. The beat is a bit skeletal and offers a unique take on those classic Brooklyn drill sliding 808s. Additionally, Kanye West’s verse and hook seem a lot like word salad. However, his voice sounds good, and for some, that is all that matters. As for Fivio Foreign, he delivers a spirited verse that is bound to excite people.

For many, it is just nice to hear Kanye West on a song again. Although, it will be interesting to see what fans have to say about this track. Tua Tagovailoa Hit With Another Concussion

Tua Tagovailoa has had one of the wildest rollercoaster-type seasons ever. He started it off strong with a string of wins to start the year. However, Tua eventually got a concussion which led to three-straight losses for the Miami Dolphins.

Of course, that concussion was a horrible one as it led to a frightening neurological response that was captured on tape. Overall, it was a horrible look for the Miami Dolphins who subsequently changed their protocols. Now, however, they are experiencing another nightmare.

Tua Tagovailoa Gets Hurt

On Sunday, Tua and the Dolphins lost to the Green Bay Packers. Many noted that Tua played poorly in the second half and that it felt like something was off. On Monday, it was revealed that Tua had been put under concussion protocol for the hit below.

After some evaluation, it is now being reported by head coach Mike McDaniel that Tua officially has another concussion. Consequently, he will not get to play this week as Teddy Bridgewater has been named the starting QB. Overall, it is horrible news that could seriously affect Tua’s future.

McDaniel was very somber during his press conference today and it is easy to see why. This is just bad news all around, and you have to be dejected if you are a Dolphins fan who was hoping for some sort of playoff berth.

Hopefully, Tua is going to be okay. He is a very exciting player and it is disheartening to see concussion problems plague his season.
