Halle Bailey Almost Throws Hands After Mishearing Fan’s Compliment: Watch

Halle Bailey is known for being as sweet as can be, but that doesn’t mean the Little Mermaid star is willing to tolerate any disrespect. Recently, she stepped out for the 2024 ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Awards Ceremony, which she attended with her older sister, Chloe. The duo was making their grand entrance to the event hand-in-hand, and of course, was swarmed by adoring fans.

One of the fans was very vocal with their praise, shouting, “Halle! Chloe! Yes, bad b*tches, f*ck it up!” Chloe didn’t appear to pay any mind to the fan’s compliment. Halle, on the other hand, seemed to mishear them. Social media users suspect that she thought the fan called her and her sister “fat b*tches,” though she’s yet to confirm or deny this. Either way, she looked outraged.

Halle Bailey Looks Outraged

In the clip, Halle quickly turns around upon hearing the fan’s remark, seeming upset by it. Commenters joke that the songstress was even ready to throw hands. Luckily, it doesn’t seem as though the situation escalated any further. “It’s the calm ones you gotta worry about. Halle looked like she was on go!,” one user writes in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section. “Sis you was about to be Unda-Da-seaaa.. that ATL came out fast‼,” another quips.

Supporters can’t blame Halle for being on edge these days, particularly considering all the backlash she’s received since announcing the birth of her son Halo. While accepting her award at the ceremony, Bailey got emotional while reflecting on her choice to keep her pregnancy a secret. “There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone,” she explained. “Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that.” What do you think of Halle Bailey mishearing a fan’s compliment at a recent event? Usher Calls Rihanna A “Queen” In Response To Her Praise

During a recent interview with E! News, Rihanna was asked what kind of advice she could offer Usher for his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show. According to her, however, there are no tips she can offer the R&B icon that he doesn’t already know. Her complimentary response prompted an equally kind comment from Usher, who dubbed RiRi a “queen.”

“Hell no, I can’t give Usher no advice,” she told the outlet earlier this week. “Usher is a natural, he’s a legend, he’s been doing this since he’s a teenager. He is made for that show.” He shared a Tweet in response to the compliment. “Real recognize real,” he wrote. “Thank U Queen @rihanna.”

Usher Says “Real Recognize Real”

During an interview with CBS Mornings in September, he discussed the honor of being selected to perform at the event. “Thirty years ago I made a commitment to offer my best. And here 30 years later now, it’s being rewarded with one of the most prestigious performances and stages anybody could ever play on,” he explained. “This is a moment that I’ve waited my entire life for and I am not coming to disappoint. This is going to be a celebration.

While the artist surely has a lot to look forward to, he also recently celebrated the finale of his Vegas residency. He reflected on his career in a Tweet, which featured a clip of him discussing his goals with Trevor Nelson in 2004. “You know what, because I am such a theatrical artist, I would love to be in a space– If I did decide to go to Las Vegas, it would be the most phenomenal thing you’ve ever seen in your life,” he says in the clip. “I saw it then…look at me now,” he captioned it. Soulja Boy Tells J. Cole Not To “Speak On” Him

During his recent appearance on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast, J. Cole opened up about some of the music he’s been a fan of in the past. During his explanation, J. Cole mentioned Soulja Boy, claiming that he wasn’t initially a fan. He went on to say that he later learned to appreciate his contributions to the genre.

“I was like ‘bruh, you a hater,’” he recalled thinking to himself. “You know you like this sh*t, actually… What you’d be better off doing is you need to look at a Soulja Boy or you need to look at a such and such, whoever was out at that time… You’d be better off realizing that these dudes is talented, and they understand something that you don’t understand,” he then explained.

Soulja Boy’s Confusing Response To J. Cole

Soulja Boy has now taken to Twitter to respond to J. Cole, and seems to have been offended by his comments. “Aye bruh don’t speak on me @JColeNC,” he wrote earlier today. “I’m not lil pump, drake, or none of these rapper n****z. On God.” It’s unclear if Soulja Boy misinterpreted what J. Cole said, didn’t watch the full clip, or just doesn’t want to be mentioned at all. Fans are understandably confused by his response, as J. Cole’s comments seemed to be respectful, and even complimentary.

This isn’t the first time Soulja Boy’s taken offense to someone speaking on him, however. Last month, he popped off on Chinese Kitty after the rapper claimed that she was “forced” to listen to his music because her son is a fan. “Why the f*ck is you on your Instagram Story talkin’ bout you being forced to listen to ‘Crank That?’ Ain’t nobody gotta force you to listen to sh*t,” he said during an Instagram Live. “You got me f*cked up.” What do you think of Soulja Boy’s response to J. Cole? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Snoop Dogg Received Big Praise From James Brown Before His Passing

Snoop Dogg recently shared a memorable encounter he had with soul music legend James Brown. This took place before Brown’s unfortunate passing in 2006. Snoop relayed the story during his Audible episode Words + Music: From the Streets, to the Suites. The rap icon reflected on his final conversation with Brown. Throughout his career, he was known as The Hardest Working Man in showbiz. According to the West Coast rap legend, James Brown came to visit him. Snoop says that the most significant compliment he received from Brown was that he was the hardest working man in the industry. Brown told him that it was Snoop Dogg’s responsibility to take the industry to new heights where Brown himself couldn’t.

Snoop Dogg felt that Brown saw his potential. The rapper says that as he looks at his own accomplishments today, he realizes that Brown’s words were prophetic. Snoop also discussed his approach to mentoring and supporting the next generation of artists. He expressed his willingness to engage in conversations with younger rappers and creatives. He says he wants to offer them valuable advice and guidance to apply to their own journeys. Snoop Dogg believes in providing wisdom to those who admire him. He wants to ensure that they carry his knowledge with them as they climb the ladder of success.

Snoop Reflects On His Iconic Career

In the Words + Music series episode, the 51-year-old rapper spoke on various topics related to his illustrious career. Snoop was very open about his feelings at various notable moments. One of the particularly important events he discussed was his determination not to let Pharrell outshine him on their 2004 hit song “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” The track unsurprisingly reached the top of the Hot 100 chart. Snoop Dogg recalled being in the studio with Pharrell, where the latter was working on the beat and vocalizing without using words. Snoop took on the challenge of making sense of Pharrell’s non-verbal sounds. He then delivered a powerful verse.

This anecdote highlighted Snoop’s appreciation for being produced and guided in the studio. “He ain’t even got the beat all the way made. This how this n*gga get down,” Snoop said of Pharrell. “He don’t say words, he just [imitates vocalizations], so it’s my job to make that shit make sense!” However, Pharrell wasn’t afraid to speak up when it came to Snoop’s lyrics. “That third verse… that ain’t it,” he recalls the Neptunes producer saying. Of course, Snoop soon came back with a harder 16 bars for the verse. “That’s what I mean about ‘I like to be produced.’” What do you think of Snoop’s career recollections? Let us know in the comments!
