Nick Cannon Compares Himself To Bob Marley & Muhammad Ali

Nick Cannon is notorious for his large family, but he doesn’t see that as any reason for people to criticize him. In a recent interview with The Los Angeles Times, he addressed his perceived role as a deadbeat dad and recent reports that he pays $3 million a year in child support. “That’s not a lot of money,” he remarked. “When you think about my lifestyle, I have to generate at least $100 million a year… Everybody thinks Ryan Seacrest has tons of money. I do everything that he does times 10. Well, not times 10- times three. Because he does a lot. I’ve been villainized. I hear all the time: ‘You can’t be present for all those children.’ So, therefore, I get this deadbeat dad title.

“Right now, the narrative is, ‘He has a bunch of kids,’” Nick Cannon continued. “But I’m really at a place now where I don’t care what people know. I’d rather just operate. It’s more about really being a good person instead of telling people you’re a good person. I mean, Muhammad Ali had a bunch of kids, and he was the greatest fighter there ever was. Bob Marley got more kids than I got. These are great men.”

In another interview with Jason Lee, the “Wild ‘N Out” host spoke on why his twins with Mariah Carey, Moroccan and Monroe, aren’t on social media more often. “The few times we have let [Moroccan] go, he does it so classy,” Nick Cannon remarked. “They said something about his mom, and he said, ‘Hold up.’ He was on Twitch. He’s like, ‘First of all, I don’t discuss any of my family issues and I feel like you’re being disrespectful right now. That’s not why I’m here, so if you’re going to continue to ask me questions, I’m going to ask you to remove yourself.’

“I love it, but Mariah is more of a private person, which I understand,” he continued. “So it’s a balance, it’s alignment. I let them run. They make TikTok videos with me and do all this stuff. And they do it with Mariah too, but I let them have a little bit more freedom, especially stepping into the place of being almost teenagers.” For more updates and the latest news on Nick Cannon and his family, stick around on HNHH.

Tupac’s Sister Blasts Trump’s Attorney For Comparing The Two

Donald Trump’s attorney’s recent comments about the former president being like Tupac and Biggie caught some heat from the late rapper’s sister. Moreover, attorney Alina Habbais claimed that these recent “false” claims bolster the reality TV star’s brand. “Donald Trump is Tupac. Donald Trump is Biggie Smalls,” Habbais told Benny Johnson. “But no, Donald Trump is his own brand. He is everything. This is just going to boost him. We have seen it in the polls. This is not a question. This is a fact.”

Of course, these comparisons elicited strong reactions online, from both hardcore hip-hop fans and political commentators alike. When comparing the two, Set Shakur said that there’s very little overlap between her late brother and the indicted political figure. “My brother was measured by his integrity, his principles and personal and collective responsibility,” she remarked to TMZ. Not only that, she called Habbais’ assessment “blasphemous.” While the West Coast legend took responsibility for his 1994 assault case, she went on, she’s not seeing the same level of accountability in Trump. In response to the attorney’s claims about exposure, Set remarked that Tupac’s popularity didn’t stem form his controversies, but rather the power of his music.

Trump & Tupac Cannot Compare, Set Shakur Remarks

Furthermore, Habbais made these statements about Tupac just as Trump landed in New York to face charges of fraud and the results of other investigations. While people expect him to turn himself in on Tuesday (April 4), anything could happen in this highly publicized and politically divisive case. On one hand, these investigations sought to hold Trump accountable for hush money sent to porn star Stormy Daniels and other things like tax evasion and further counts of fraud. On the other, his supporters believe this is a rigged and witch-hunt-style takedown of the business mogul.

Given his presidential run for 2024 and his complete denial of any wrongdoing, this should make for an interesting development in this election cycle. However, it’s clear that Habbais’ words incited and provoked conversation rather than speaking to the rapper’s fanbase. With that in mind, public favor amid the Republican Party, and especially amid his detractors, will likely turn even more against the 76-year-old in the coming weeks. Hopefully justice is served. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Donald Trump and Tupac.

Troy Ave Seemingly Compares Himself To Jay-Z Testifying In Court

Troy Ave apparently thinks he’s like Jay-Z, at least from an Instagram post that he published talking about his court testimony. Moreover, he testified today (March 13) in Taxstone’s murder case, in which the latter stands accused of murdering Ave’s bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter. Furthermore, he posted a picture of Hov on the witness stand during his 2021 Parlux Fragrances lawsuit and included his classic The Blueprint cut “U Don’t Know.” Afterwards, he shared a message in the caption honoring his fallen friend and spoke of his long journey to get to this point.

“No F**K n***az formed against ME shall prosper…. #FreeTroyAve,” he wrote on top of his post. Then, he continued in the caption itself. “To all my real ones that been riding with & for Me, today is the day I finally get to clear my name. It’s been almost 7 years since I lost one of my closest friends #RIPBANGA, 7 years of a narrative about it being my fault, 7 years of my character being assassinated all the while Trying to defend myself without saying much!

Troy Ave Evokes Jay-Z In Court Testimony Post

“I took it all on the chin, never complained about the stress even tho I felt it,” he went on. “Never complained about the pain even tho it hurt! Never shed a tear even tho my heart was crying! At my weakest points I drew strength from GOD! drew strength from my Children & drew strength from Yall! But today … Ya Boi is Strong! Today .. is our day! We in court & the facts will speak louder than any words! It’s time to get this false narrative off my name and dark cloud off my head.

“To all my supporters today is the day you can tell whoever went against Us ‘Eat a D! I Told you So,’” he concluded. “Let’s continue to spread Love & Destroy Hate! wether u sending prayers or pulling up to the court today with positive energy I dead a** appreciate it all! #FREETROYAVE #SelfDefense.” Given all the years and feuds that led to this point, it will be interesting to see how the case plays out. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest updates on this story and more news from Troy Ave.

Reginae Carter Wants People To Stop Comparing New Rappers To Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne’s mixtape run is unmatched. However, many fans believe artists like Lil Baby and Lil Durk are mirroring what Wayne accomplished in the mid-aughts.

Reginae Carter’s putting an end to these conversations. Weezy’s first-born child shared a message on Twitter slamming anyone who thinks there’s another rapper who could even compare to what the New Orleans rapper’s accomplished in his lifetime.

“‘KEEP MY FATHER’S NAME OUT YA MOUTH,’” she tweeted, along with two laughing emojis. “Nah fr y’all need to stop comparing my dad to the new kids on the block .. gotta stop ! Everybody is super talented and dope ! Let them have their run and time will tell .. but leave that marathon Wayne ran out of it …”

She added, “Since 12 years old… come on man.”

Lil Wayne’s marathon of mixtapes leading to the release of Tha Carter III was undoubtedly a pivotal point in his career. Weezy became a leading voice in rap and a go-to feature for everyone in the game. Though he might not actively release music at the same pace today, Wayne remains one of the most prolific rappers to ever exist.

At the same time, Reginae’s comments come at a time when NBA Youngboy’s pumping out project after project, even more consistently than Lil Wayne. This morning, the Baton Rouge-bred rapper unveiled I Rest My Case, his sixth project since August (not including compilations).

Lil Wayne teased the release of Tha Carter VI last summer during his appearance at OVO Fest’s Young Money reunion. A pre-save link went up shortly after, though he hasn’t provided much of an update since. It seems possible that we could see the album drop at some point in 2023.

What do you think about Reginae Carter’s comments? Do you think the Weezy comparisons are fair? Let us know in the comment section below.

Rich Homie Quan Says Lil Dicky Reminds Him Of Kanye West

Rich Homie Quan says that Lil Dicky reminds him of Kanye West in terms of being a “perfectionist.” Quan discussed working with Dicky for his song, “$ave Dat Money,” during a recent interview with HipHopDX.

“Lil Dicky… he doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves,” Quan told the outlet. “His mind… he reminds me of a Kanye — and I say that in a good way. Not Kanye Kanye, but perfectionist Kanye, you know what I’m saying?”

From there, Quan explained that the entire concept of the song was Dicky’s idea.

“[The song] was his idea. He pulled up to my house to shoot it, but he paid me my full price,” Quan explained. “But his mindset, his creative control… I learned so much from him in that little time we spent together. We wasn’t in the studio. It was sent via email. I sent back a full verse. I was kinda sick like, ‘Bro, I started going in right there!’ He was like, ‘Quan, hold up, wait. We’re gonna cut it.’ But I love to create.”

Quan further added that he didn’t know who Dicky was at the time when the comedic rapper reached out. However, nowadays, Quan considers Dicky one of his better friends in the industry.

“He loves what he does, and he’s genuine about what he does and he puts his all into everything. He could mess up on a tone and he’s mad. ‘I didn’t say it right!’” Quan continued. “We did something on live TV — I forgot what it was, it might have been Jimmy Kimmel or something like that — he was so mad. And I was like, ‘Bro, you killed it!’ [He was like], ‘I messed up on this one verse!’”

He added: “I love the love he puts in, the heart, he puts his all into it, so I learned that from him — if you gonna do it, give it your all; if not, go home.”
