50 Cent Gasses Drake’s New Music, Says Canadian Has “Hard Shit” Coming Soon

New music from Drake has been coming more frequently than ever before, and from the sounds of things, he’s not quite done with his rollout just yet. As he and 21 Savage prepare to head out on their It’s All A Blur tour in a few month’s time, the father of one has been teasing a new track on Instagram – one which 50 Cent is seemingly already co-signing. In the unreleased snippet, fans hear Champagne Papi sing about the qualities he’s looking for in a woman after so many years spent in the spotlight.

“I need someone to be patient with me / Someone to get money, would not take it from me,” his voice croons on the BYNX-produced beat. “They don’t even need to be as famous as me / I don’t think I meet ’em at the places I be / But deep down I think about you all day, mami.” While the untitled song has yet to hit DSPs, fans all across the internet are already begging Drake to share the fire single in time for summer.

50 Cent Co-Signs Drake’s Upcoming Releases

According to 50 Cent, that may not be the only heat we hear from his Canadian friend in the coming months. As HipHopDX notes, the New Yorker jumped in the comment section of a @gunitbrands post that sees Drizzy wearing a G-Unit shirt to give the Scorpion artist his flowers. “I f*ck wit Drake,” Fif confirmed. “He getting ready to come with some hard shit. You know the vibes n*gga,” he later added.

As you may recall, the Toronto native faced significant backlash earlier this week after cancelling his headlining performance at Lolapalooza. Hours before the announcement was made, photos of Drake partying with 50 Cent at a club in Miami surfaced online, causing many to speculate that a wild night out on the town resulted in the younger lyricist’s decision to cancel. Despite the gossip, his team maintains that it was missing production staff who resulted in the concert’s cancellation. Read more about that here, and let us know if you’re excited about more music from the 36-year-old in the comments.

Nicki Minaj Extends Co-Sign To Ice Spice On Instagram

While Nicki Minaj has frequently faced controversy over beefing with the new generation of rappers (i.e. Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, and now, Latto), she evidently has an appreciation for Ice Spice. The Bronx rapper undoubtedly won over the masses in the past six months. The success of “Munch (Feelin’ U)” turned her into a generational icon, from her orange hair to her early 2000s-inspired couture. And while Nicki has remained rather quiet when it comes to Spice, she finally acknowledged the “Princess Diana” rapper.

This weekend, fans noticed that Nicki Minaj finally followed Ice Spice. Not only did Nicki follow the Bronx Baddie but she slipped into the comment section of Ice’s latest post, which she captioned “thick cus I be eatin oats.” Apparently, Nicki’s also a big fan of Ice Spice like the rest of us. She finished the lyric in the comments, writing, “Btchs slow so I gif dem a pass. [fire emoji] Nah. Grah!” She added, “No more passes Princess… Let’s go!” So, it seems as though a collaboration could be on the way.

Incoming Ice Spice X Nicki Minaj Collab?

Twitter quickly dug up old tweets where Ice Spice appeared to manifest her follow from Nicki Minaj. On Nov. 18th, 2020, she tweeted, “OMG NICKI JUST FOLLOWED ME AGHHHHH!!!” In a subsequent tweet, she clarified that she was just “practicing” for the moment that it happens. Given that Nicki not only followed her but quoted her bars seems like a sign that perhaps, Nicki could be jumping on the “Princess Diana” remix. It wouldn’t be surprising since Nicki’s also preparing to drop her next studio album soon with “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” kicking off the campaign.

Nicki’s acknowledgment of Ice Spice got fans both excited and concerned. One fan wrote, “ik ice spice gon fcking GAG when she sees a nicki follow and reply came her way.” However, others felt as though this could lead to some sort of feud down the line. “Nicki Minaj has crowned Ice Spice the Princess of Rap. Ice Spice follows in the footsteps of Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, BIA, Coi Leray, and JT. How long will this duo last?” another user wrote. Coi Leray Talks Grandmaster Flash Co-Signing “Players”: “I Love His Positive Energy”

Once again, social media has helped Coi Leray earn herself another hit with “Players.” The track features a notable sample from Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five’s “The Message,” and according to Leray, she received a co-sign from the Hip Hop pioneer.

“Flash, he’s so funny,” she told Billboard about meeting Grandmaster Flash. “I would’ve thought I’ve known him. I felt like I was in a time machine when I met him. It’s like he didn’t even age. I feel like, ‘I’m meeting you back in the ’90s.’

“If that was a movie, that’d be fire,” Leray added. “Going back in time and I’m like, ‘What’s up?’ He’s right here and he was so present. He got so much energy, he’s so healthy and he looks so good.”

Flash didn’t only applaud her single, but he also took the time to give her some sage advice. Leray has previously stated she wants to learn as all that she can from artists who came before her.

“This guy, he can give me a lot of knowledge if you really think about it,” she also shared. “That song was so big and I do know how much that it impacted Hip-Hop. I thought it was dope how humble he is. He’s very positive and I love positive energy.”
