Kanye West, Mia Khalifa, & Tyga Pose For Y/Project F&W Collection, Leaving Some Fans Irate

Outside of being a hip-hop music icon, Kanye West is also closely tied to the fashion world. Everyone who is in the know about sneakers and rap, is certainly familiar with his many renditions of the Yeezy. Now that he is totally separate from Nike and Adidas, he has been on his own selling avant-garde pieces and streetwear. All that is available on yeezy.com. Even though, Ye would have you believe Adidas is screwing him over, he is not totally absolved from receiving criticism. The legendary Georgia-born rapper’s antisemitic remarks left the iconic brand no choice but to drop him. It is the exact reason why some fans are so enraged that Kanye West and Y/Project are collaborating.

Our Generation Music also revealed that Tyga and former adult film actress Mia Khalifa, are all models for the Y/Project fashion company. Pop singer Charli XCX and model Irina Shayk are in the mix too, to promote their Fall and Winter collection. Kanye can be seen rocking another form of face protection. This time though it is a heavy, black puffer-like jacket.

As we mentioned there are a good number of people that are condemning Y/Project for getting the VULTURES creator involved. One person writes, “So we’re using antisemitic terrorist supporters as faces of campaigns now??? 🤮 anyone who buys anything from this should be ashamed of themselves.” Another adds, “Saying u love jews but than collating with a famous antisemite is on another level, that boy Kanye going down the barrel 🤣🤣

Future’s New Lanvin Lab Clothing Line Is A “Tribute To Classic Streetwear”

Back in 2023, Future teamed up with Paris-based luxury fashion house Lanvin to drop his first clothing collection under Lanvin Lab. The hitmaker designed all the pieces for the collection. At the time, he admitted that he had been a fan of the brand for some time. He also revealed that he always aspired to try his hand at fashion design. The unisex ready-to-wear line “emphasizes Future’s love of layering and tailoring, with an impressive flair for accessories,” according to the brand.

Now, still hot off of the success of the first collection, Lanvin Lab has unveiled Future’s second clothing line in collaboration with the fashion house. The drop includes pieces like hoodies, sweatpants, t-shirts, and more. It also includes various accessories, including sunglasses, hats, and even a luxury silk travel kit. According to Lanvin’s latest social media posts about the collection, it “combines vintage references, modern sensibilities and impeccable craftsmanship for a playful and unapologetic celebration of color, culture and creativity.”

“Centuries-old elegance is reimagined with the verve and swagger of our modern age,” the brand also describes. “Grammy-winning wunderkind @future reveals his innermost passion with a tribute to classic streetwear and Lanvin’s couture heritage.” The collection is available for purchase now on the brand’s official website.

Fans are certainly glad to see Future branching out with yet another clothing collection. It’s not the only non-musical endeavor he’s got planned for 2024, however. Drake’s OVO Brand Hit With Backlash Following NEEDLES Collaboration

While Drake is certainly a business unto himself, his OVO brand is also a major reason for his never-ending success. The record label/clothing company has had a huge impact on pop culture for quite some time. It has become one of the most recognizable logos in the space with its iconic gold and black scheme, and of course, the owl. In terms of apparel, we have seen a lot of amazing work over the years with the Toronto Raptors jerseys, as well as the rare and expensive Jordans. However, not everything is going to be a smash hit. Drake’s latest collaboration with NEEDLES is not getting the same love, to say the least.

NEEDLES is a Japanese luxury clothing brand that has been around since 1995. According to HipHopDX, them and OVO decided to work together to bring a small capsule to show off the two brands creative flare. Hype Beast initially shared more of the details about the drop at the beginning of the month. With two powerhouse names like NEEDLES and Drake’s OVO, you would think this would be a success without a doubt.

Unfortunately, the opposite is true here. Above is just one of the items included in the lineup. It is a black and gold tracksuit that features the latter color stripes on the sleeves, as well as the owl and NEEDLES butterfly logo. Fans are ripping their efforts to shreds saying, “Overpriced crap $ now you collab with them.” Another goes, “This is easily the worst & corniest collab in the brands history. Gonna lose as many customers as you’re gonna gain.” The capsule also includes a mohair cardigan, various t-shirts with the OVO lettering and butterfly combined, and a plaid shirt.

What are your thoughts on Drake collaborating with NEEDLES? Is this the best OVO team-up, why or why not? If you had to purchase something from the drop, what would you choose and why? Are the fans right, that this capsule is not it? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Chris Brown Hit With $4M In Taxes As He Unveils Huge Clothing Collection

Chris Brown had a huge year in 2022, with the release of his latest album, as well as the subsequent supporting tour alongside Lil Baby. However, it looks like Uncle Sam is on the hunt for his cut.

Per TMZ, the IRS and the state of California hit Chris Brown with a $4M tax bill for 2022. The publication said that he was federal tax liens for $2,245,561.50 and $1,059,967.78 for the past year. Additionally, the state of California filed another state tax lien against the singer for $739,067.48. All in all, Chris Brown is facing nearly $4M in taxes for the past year.

However, it doesn’t appear that it could be a huge issue for him. The singer revealed that he needed to build a department store at his home to hoard all of his clothing. In a video shared on Instagram, the Breezy artist revealed racks upon racks of clothes in a long storage space. It kind of looks like he has a Marshall’s for designer streetwear on his property.

Though he can surely sell some of the clothes off — which he’s done in the past — if needed to foot the tax bill, it doesn’t seem like it would be a huge issue for him to cover. The singer’s on pace to head on another tour in support of his new album. This time, he’ll be hitting dates across Europe. So far, the majority of the shows are sold out, including four dates in London, two in Amsterdam, and another two in Paris. The demand was so high that he added more dates. Needless to say, he’ll be caking it once the tour is over.
