Lil Nas X Claims He’s Returning To God For His New Era

Lil Nas X is in full promo mode for his new era. Earlier this week the pop star announced that his new single is dropping later this month. It’s his first new single since 2022 when he dropped the sleeper hit “STAR WALKIN” in collaboration with the video game League Of Legends. Lil Nas’ debut album MONTERO dropped back in 2021 and featured multiple smash hits like “MONTERO,” “THATS WHAT I WANT,” and “INDUSTRY BABY” with Jack Harlow.

Now he’s gearing up to release a second album and he’s conjuring some religious imagery in the process. It’s hardly the first time he’s done this. Lil Nas X notoriously got himself into trouble with religious types for conjuring demonic imagery in the music video and promotion for his song “MONTERO.” But this time he’s using religious subject matter in a very different way. That started last year when he claimed he was entering his “Christian era” which didn’t sit well with some of his critics. Check out his new doubling down on that description below.

Lil Nas X In His Christian Era Again

Earlier this week, Lil Nas X shared a new video on TikTok with a peculiar caption. “me returning to god after the industry tried to make me satanic” it reads. Many fans assume he’s just joking, as the rapper is notorious for doing online. He’s likely cracking jokes at the expense of those who criticized his satanic music video and who make conspiracy theories about famous people being involved in cult activity.

Fans of the rapper won’t have to wait long for new content from the rapper. In addition to the new single he’s dropping next week, he also has a documentary coming out. The doc takes fans behind the scenes of his first ever world tour and will hit HBO on January 27. What do you think of Lil Nas X claiming he’s trying to return to god after the music industry made him satanic? Do you think he’s just trolling to promote his new single? Lil Nas X Finds Surprise Ally In Christian Rapper Lecrae After He Defends Nas’ Controversial Comments

Last month, Lil Nas X took to Twitter and Instagram to share a tease of some brand-new music. Like much of what the rapper does, it eventually became controversial. This time the controversy spawned from Lil Nas claiming that he was entering his “Christian era” with his new music. That didn’t sit right with some Christians. The rapper famously drew the ire of many religious fans and critics when he used devil imagery in the music video for his song “MONTERO.”

Though Lil Nas X quickly responded to haters with a statement of his own. he’s now finding another surprising ally. Christian rapper Lecrae came to Lil Nas’ defense following the Christian era comment, sharing a statement to his YouTube channel. “I don’t like it when I see non-Christians being chastised with Christian belief. They don’t subscribe to what you describe to. So how can you challenge them with that? They don’t even subscribe to the same book. They don’t play the same game you play. So how are they breaking the rules?” he said in defense of the rapper. Later in the video, he asked fans not to judge Lil Nas for his past actions and even extended an invite to the rapper to explain himself on Lecrae’s platform. Check out his full 41-minute response video below.

Lecrae Stands Up For Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X’s debut album MONTERO dropped in 2021 and he’s been pretty quiet since then. His most recent single “STAR WALKIN’” dropped last year as a collaboration with League Of Legends. The song wasn’t an instant hit but rose up the charts in late 2022 and now has more than 380 million streams on Spotify alone.

Last month, Lil Nas X began teasing his new era online. While he has shared some snippets it’s been pretty scant on actual details in terms of when fans can expect new music. Given how long he’s been absent and how quiet he’s been in the meantime many are hoping that a new Lil Nas album is on the horizon in 2024. What do you think of Lecrae’s response video to Lil Nas X’s “Christian era” comments? Let us know in the comment section below.

Lil Nas X Puts “Christian Era” Critics On Blast

Lil Nas X has gone after those who have criticized him for entering his “Christian Era” this week. “I hate how the world successfully changed the narrative of the call me by your name video. y’all hate that i symbolically took ownership of the very place yall condemned gay people to, so you’ve flipped the script and convinced everyone that its about me “mocking god”,” Lil Nas wrote on social media.

The primary critic of Lil Nas’ announcement had been Tyrese. The singer had taken issue with Lil Nas’ comments, telling Lil Nas to “stop playing with God” and accused Lil Nas of “making a mockery of Jesus”. Many of Tyrese’s fans agreed with him, causing Lil Nas to make his aforementioned statement.

Lil Nas X Has Hilarious Response To PinkPantheress Photo

While Lil Nas is never one to avoid speaking his mind, he is also known to utilize social media for levity as well. Back in April, a picture of Lil Nas kissing PinkPantheress did the rounds on social media. This of course led to wild speculation across social media and gossip outlets. In fairness, it is very good evidence to link the two of them. They have been seen linking up a few times during 2023 already, going back as far as February. Nas posted a picture of the pair of them on February 28 to Instagram. However, the pair are yet to link up musically.

However, Lil Nas X had the full story, which he explained via his Twitter account. “she had food on her lip ! I was getting it off !” The response has been like 45,000 times since he posted it on Saturday morning. The comments are, of course, a mess. There’s memes, jokes, support, and just a fun little splash of outright homophobia. Neither Lil Nas nor Pinkpantheress has outright confirmed that the pair are dating and Lil Nas’ explanation is pretty convincing.
