Boosie On Being Dissed by NBA Youngboy: "I Don't Wanna Kill Him"

Boosie Badazz was one of many dissed by NBA Youngboy on his “I Hate YoungBoy” single. “Feel like Boosie don’t even like me, bitch, don’t call my phone, fuck you,” the young Louisiana star rapped. Once again sitting with DJ Vlad, Boosie revealed why he did not reach out to Youngboy and dissed him on a song instead.

“Because I don’t wanna kill him,” Boosie said. “So, I just wanted to say what I had to say. I ain’t really promote the song. I just wanted to say what I had to say. I just felt like, I’ll say what I had to say over the mic and that’s it, you know? Like I said, my first and last time speaking on it. I was gon’ say what I had to say, and that’s it.”

YOu can hear it from Boosie below.

Boosie Badazz’s Newest Outrage Is An Apple Emoji Featuring Gay Couple

Boosie

Boosie Badazz, perturbed and outraged by an Apple emoji from an iOS update, took to Instagram to accuse them of “Pushing D.”  Fans of his were equally outraged by the emoji. Boosie took to his Instagram on Wednesday after noticing a new Apple emoji from the latest iOS update.  The update included a post showing […]

Webbie’s ‘Independent’ Video Predictions Blow Young Rappers’ Minds

In 2007, Baton Rouge rapper Webbie’s “Independent” video featured a scene in which a fake news clip reports on a US President being impeached. While the actor in the video didn’t resemble any president at the time, years later, in 2021, a sitting US President actually did get impeached… and that actor bears a pretty striking resemblance to that guy.

So, when our latest React Like You Know video panel — consisting of Uproxx faves like Blueface, DDG, Kali, KenTheMan, Jucee Froot, Strick, and more — gets a load of the video, their minds are appropriately blown. Considering the video dropped when many of them were still in primary school (meaning they likely missed the Clinton impeachment hearings of the ’90s, the probable inspiration behind the video), Webbie’s “prediction” must seem like sorcery.

Strick puts it best; “Man, them folks knew the future,” he jokes. KenTheMan echoes that sentiment, determining that “Webbie and Boosie knew some sh*t that we didn’t know!” They also note that the video’s other prediction of the first female Black president eventually being elected also recently came true — in part — with the election of Kamala Harris as Vice President under Joe Biden. And even if it’s only a technicality, it would also seem to be an eventuality, as well, making that prediction one of the safest long-term bets ever.

Of course, they also have plenty of nostalgia for the song, which reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it a certified defining hit of their youth. That doesn’t mean that they have any more luck singing along to it these days, as they amusingly misspell the title, which doubles as the hook. They don’t have to feel bad though; everybody other than Webbie and a few spelling bee champs probably struggle to keep up with the exuberant hit.

Lil Nas X’s Dad Snaps On Boosie After His Latest Homophobic Rant

Once again, Baton Rouge rapper Boosie BadAzz has gone off on a homophobic rant regarding Lil Nas X, and once again, Nas’ father has stepped in to check the Southern rapper. After Nas joked during an Instagram Live stream that he had a song with Boosie on the way, the Louisiana rapper jumped into a tirade on Twitter in which he slung slurs and issued some violent invective. However, on Tuesday, Nas’ father Robert Stafford, posted an Instagram story rebuking Boosie, calling him washed up.

“How the hell you’re a gangsta rapper promoting drugs, gun violence, degrading women and getting high every video talking about how you’re for the kids,” Stafford questioned. “Man sit your old looking a*s down. The game has past you. We real bankhead over here. Not like the guy who claims it. CHAMPIONS!” It’s not the first time he jumped in to defend his son; when DaBaby made comments interpreted as homophobic during his Rolling Loud set, Stafford went in on the North Carolina rapper as well.

Meanwhile, Boosie seemed uncowed by the talking-to, sneering via Twitter, “DONT GET MAD AT ME CAUSE YOUR SON CAME OUT LIKE THAT LOL I KNOW IT HURTS.”

Previously, Boosie lashed out at Nas during a live stream after apparently taking Nas’ joke about performing naked literally. “That’s the most disrespectful muthaf*cka in the world,” he said, among a slew of other NSFW and highly offensive comments. After being called out by fans on Twitter, he accepted an invitation to The Breakfast Club, where he doubled down. His fascination with Lil Nas X even prompted a late-night Twitter rant that got him excoriated by fans who think he’s paid just a little too much attention to Nas’ moves someone who disapproves so much.

Whatever the case, it doesn’t seem like the two are likely to resolve their issues anytime soon, as Boosie seems uninterested in growth and Nas is one of the internet’s most prolific trolls.

Boosie Imagines An Unlikely Worst-Case Scenario In Response To Lil Nas X’s Latest ‘Montero’ Stunt

At this point, people reacting to Lil Nas X’s provocations are doing more work to promote him and his music than he is. Every time he comes up with a colorful troll, they react loudly on the internet, drawing more attention to his stunts and the work behind them. He responds with another promotional prank and they lose it all over again. At this point, it’d probably be best for them if they stopped reacting, which is exactly what Nas wants.

But then we wouldn’t get gems like watching Twitter relentlessly roasting Boosie for his borderline obsession with the 22-year-old rapper turned pop star. Certainly, it’s a lot of fun to just imagine Boosie sitting around thinking about Nas’ latest antics and getting very … ahem … piqued about it. In this case, the antic in question is Nas’ recently released “pregnancy” photoshoot (with his album Montero, his baby — get it?), which was published by no less an outlet than People magazine — a subversive, historical act in itself.

Lil Nas seems to have long since decided that since he’ll be made a public spectacle anyway, he’s going to control the narrative and wring every advantage for himself out of the media’s invasive coverage, lightly satirizing the public fascination with the lives of celebrities along the way. And Boosie can’t stand it. “NAS X WTF U JUST DONT STOP,” he tweet at three o’clock in the morning. “I THINK HES GOING TO TURN AROUND N SUCK ONE OF HIS BACK GROUND DANCERS DICK ON NATIONAL TV.”

While that’s … well, not something that you even can do because the FCC is a thing, it’s very interesting that that’s where Boosie’s mind goes. The gentleman doth protest too much, methinks — or at least, fans Twitter do. It didn’t take long for folks to question why Boosie seems to spend so much time thinking about Lil Nas X when he could be doing, y’know, literally anything else. When Montero does come out, it’s easy to wonder whether the Louisiana rap legend will be one of the first to hit “play” while pondering what Nas’ next move will be.
