Busta Rhymes ‘Blockbusta’ Tour Cancelled Just Ahead of Kickoff

Busta Rhymes Says His New Album is Done and Offers Well Wishes to DJ Kay Slay

The Busta Rhymes Blockbusta tour is called off. USA Today notes updates on Ticketmaster showing each show from the March 13 opener to the April 21 closure as cancelled.

Details on Ticketmaster reveal “no action is required to obtain a refund” as they will be processed to the original method of payment.

The tour, presented by The Conglomerate Entertainment and Live Nation, supports his latest critically acclaimed album, BLOCKBUSTA.

Just last month, while out celebrating French Montana’s new mixtape, Mac & Cheese 5, Busta got into it with rising rapper Nizzle Man.

The event was at Harbor nightclub in New York City, and a video emerged showing 23-year-old Nizzle Man being drug down a set of stairs. Busta then gets in the rapper’s face before more shoving occurs.

According to TMZ, neither party had issues with each other before the incident. You can see the video of the scuffle below.

Busta Rhymes Cancels “Blockbusta” Tour, Leaves Ticketholders Confused

Busta Rhymes is easily one of the biggest legends in hip-hop. Overall, he was a staple during the 90s as he dropped classic songs and albums. His career has spanned decades, and fans continue to consume his music. Furthermore, he has always shown love to the younger generation. He has refused to become a hating old head, which is certainly admirable. In fact, on his latest album, he did a song with Coi Leray. This just goes to show that when it comes to the new generation, Busta is someone who prefers to pay homage.

On March 13th, Busta Rhymes was set to go to San Francisco for the first date of his Blockbusta tour. This tour was going to be quite short, with the final date in Brooklyn on April 21st. The first show would be a week from today, and fans were excited. However, it seems like the tour has been canceled. According to MSN, Busta Rhymes has not put out a statement about the cancelation. Fans found out about it through Ticketmaster, and it has left many wondering what happened, and if the concert will be rescheduled.

Bun B Shouts Out Busta Rhymes For Sampling “Get Throwed”

Bun B gave a shout-out to Busta Rhymes in a post on Instagram, Friday, following the release of the rapper’s new album, BLOCKBUSTA. For the song, “BIG EVERYTHING” featuring DaBaby and T-Pain, Busta sampled Bun B’s 2005 track, “Get Throwed.”

“Salute to the general @bustarhymes for bringing back that Trill Nostalgia and doing this record!’ Bun B captioned the post. “He’s been talking about it for a minute but the timing couldn’t be better! And he brought in @tpain and @dababy for a trill ass trifecta??!!! What a banger!” Plenty of others joined in on the praise in the comments section, including T-Pain.

Bun recently reflected on JAY-Z’s contribution to the song, revealing that he dissed an undisclosed rival. Speaking with Elliott Wilson on the Rap Radar podcast in 2017, he revealed: “If you listen to ‘Get Throwed,’ to JAY’s verse — for some people it’s going to be clearer than others — but there was shots fired in bars 8 to 12, and there were more shots from bars 12 to 16.” He did clarify that Nas wasn’t the target: “Nah nah nah. This was before that … this was more internal.” Check out Bun’s post for Busta Rhymes below.
