Dame Dash Elaborates On Drake’s Alleged Roc-A-Fella Bid

Dame Dash is once again claiming that Drake offered him $6 million for his Roc-A-Fella shares but “disappeared” at the last second. Speaking about the sale with Cam Capone News for an interview published on Thursday, Dame brought up how people backed out of their initial bids and chalked it up to “monkey business.”

“Yeah, he [Drake] DM’d me,” Dame confirmed once again. “Then he just went missing. I don’t know what the purpose of that was. I’m curious myself. A lot of people reach out and then they disappear and I just always think there was some monkey business happening behind the scenes. But again, I don’t feel like dealing with all of that. It’s too weird for me.”

It’s far from the first time Dame has mentioned Drake putting in an offer for his stake in Roc-A-Fella. Speaking about the sale on his America Nu Network YouTube page, last month, Dame said: “People did not show up. Drake did put a bid in for $6 million but then he disappeared. It’s in my DM… I don’t know what happened. But other than that, no serious people. No one wanted that sh—t. Period.”

Dame Dash Discusses The Sale Of “Reasonable Doubt”

The state of New York ended up taking Dame’s shares in Roc-A-Fella for $1 million in an effort to recoup $8 million in back taxes that the music industry mogul owes. During the latest interview, Dame said he was at least happy that the money would help to cover his child support and thus help his children. “I looked at it like at least I could get some money out of it,” he said. “At least my kids will get some money out of it.” Check out Dame Dash’s latest comments on the sale of Reasonable Doubt below.

Big Meech Might Be Out Of Jail Next Year After Sentence Reduction Bid

Big Meech, the co-founder of the Black Mafia Family (BMF), might get yet another sentence reduction in his 30-year stint, according to AllHipHop. Moreover, he and his legal team asked for another three-year reduction, one that he previously nabbed back in 2021, moving his scheduled release from May 2031 to May 2028. Meech faced conviction for money laundering and running a national crime enterprise, for which he received over $270 million in drug trade profits from the late 1990s until 2007. His previous reduction came after a reevaluation of drug quantity and chemical quantity across all related charges.

Furthermore, now Lil Meech’s father and his lawyer Brittany K. Barnett of the Burned Alive project think they deserve a step further. They motioned for another sentence reduction of three years, which if approved, would set Big Meech’s release date for May of 2025. In addition, their argument cited Section 18 582(c)(2) of the U.S. Criminal Code (U.S.C.), which states a judge can reduce a sentence if sentencing rules for their charges became more lenient after the conviction. This pairs with an April 2023 amendment which eliminates certain “criminal history status points” for select individuals with criminal history.

Specifically, it seems like this eliminates “status points” imposed during an individual’s sentence, and Barnett believes this amendment would strike at least two points off the former crime boss. As this law came into effect in November of 2023, they believe he is qualified for another reduction as outlined in the U.S.C. Big Meech has done a lot to change his image, outreach, and philosophy while in prison. For example, he contributed to many charity events in his community and wants to rebrand BMF under the “Build More Families” moniker for positive change.

“Notably, Federal Bureau of Prisons (B.O.P.) staff observed that ‘Flenory has displayed a dedication to remaining physically fit and has taken it upon himself to lead and teach exercise classes to other inmates,’” his lawyer remarked. “He also leads regular focus groups out of various self-help books and appears to [have] a positive mental health effect [on] other inmates.” We’ll see whether the court is compassionate to the “Power” critic’s efforts. Stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Big Meech.

50 Cent Loses BET Bid: “That Sh*t Wasn’t Worth $3 Billion”

50 Cent recently hopped on social media, announcing that he’s out of the running to acquire the BET Media Group. He shared a photo of a news report, writing “We will get them next time, @shaq. That sh*t wasn’t worth 3,000,000,000. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.” Fif teamed up with Shaquille O’Neal and Kenya Barris earlier this year in efforts to acquire BET. Unfortunately, however, it looks like he’s joined the growing list of artists whose bids fell through.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Paramount also refused an offer from Tyler Perry, who was willing to part with $2 billion to acquire the network. Paramount’s opening bid was $3 billion, and they weren’t willing to go lower. They had initially agreed, later announcing that they’d changed their minds. “We made this decision because the benefits of maintaining a majority stake in BET Media Group creates more value for Paramount than any of the proposals we received,” they said following the news.

“When this came up, I thought ‘wow, this is meant to be,‘” Perry revealed during an interview. “What I can tell you is it’s worth a lot more with me than it is without me,” he added. Earlier this summer, 50 Cent opened up about where he was in the process of bidding on BET. He also claimed that it’s really “Tyler Perry’s network,” though he was still interested in acquiring it at the time. “He’s done enough work there to dominate that,” he explained. “And not even only dominate — I don’t think they’ve explored what it would be like not having a Tyler. And he’s created enough content that if they didn’t sell the company to him, he could go across the street and say, ‘I’m going to start my own.’”

Paramount also reportedly turned down an offer from Diddy, eventually halting the sale process altogether. “Media is the most powerful industry in the world but it’s the industry where we have the least amount of ownership, influence and control!” Diddy wrote upon announcing the bid. “It’s time for @BET to be Black-owned again so we have the power to tell our own stories, control our own narrative! This is not about me it’s about WE!!!!”

Snoop Dogg Loses Bid To Own The Ottawa Senators

If you have been following hockey news as of late, then you probably know that Snoop Dogg has been attempting to purchase the Ottawa Senators. Overall, the Senators are a Canadian NHL team that has struggled in recent years. However, the team was recently put up for sale, and it has led to a bit of a bidding war. Los Angeles entrepreneur Neko Sparks was looking to purchase the team, and Snoop wanted in. This would have subsequently led to the first black ownership group in NHL history.

However, a lot of people have been interested in purchasing the team. For instance, even Ryan Reynolds had reportedly been looking into it. Although, he ended up backing out after a few weeks. That said, Snoop Dogg had shown a lot of interest in owning the team. Moreover, he planned to create youth hockey programs based around the Senators. Unfortunately, Snoop will not get to own the team. Instead, Toronto billionaire Michael Andlauer has been given the keys to the franchise.

According to TMZ, Andlauer paid a grand total of $1 billion for the team. Overall, this is a hefty amount when you consider how the Senators are in a small market. However, NHL team costs are on the rise, and this is an example of that. That said, the most expensive teams in the league remain the Toronto Maple Leafs, the New York Rangers, and the Montreal Canadians. Either way, we’re sure Snoop is a little heartbroken over the decision. After all, this could have been an amazing opportunity.

Hopefully, another opportunity pops up for Snoop Dogg. After all, he has done some work with the Anaheim Ducks in the past. If they ever go up for sale, he should definitely consider another bid with Sparks at the helm. Let us know what you think about Snoop’s interest in hockey, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sports world.
