Kevin Durant Corrects Shaq Following Rui Hachimura Controversy

Kevin Durant is someone who has had to go toe-to-toe with the oldheads throughout the NBA world. Overall, the oldheads haven’t always been kind to him. With guys like Shaq and Charles Barkley referring to him as a “bus rider,” he’s never been too fond of them. Additionally, it does not help that some of the new players get completely dismissed by guys such as Shaq. Over the years, O’Neal has been downright disrespectful to certain players, and KD has watched that play out in real-time.

Most recently, Shaq had some interesting comments about Rui Hachimura. After being traded to the Lakers, Shaq claimed that he had no idea who Hachimura was. Moreover, Barkley went a bit too far and called Hachimura “HoochieMama” which is simply ridiculous. Following these comments, fans were pretty upset with Shaq and Chuck. They feel as though it is unacceptable for two men who get paid to talk basketball to not know about common players in the league. At the end of the day, it just makes them look like casuals who don’t know what they’re talking about.

Kevin Durant Reacts

Since then, Shaq has apologized to Hachimura. “Let me apologize to Rudy Hachimura,” Shaq said. “I didn’t know who he was because I never watch the bull play, but he’s a fine role-player… So Rudy Hachimura I apologize I didn’t know who you were, I know you are now and I wish you well.” As you can see, Shaq didn’t even bother to get his name right as he called the man “Rudy.” This prompted a reaction from Kevin Durant who simply took to Twitter and write “Rui.” Simply put, KD wanted Hachimura to get his proper recognition.

Hopefully, Shaq and Chuck will stop pulling this stuff. It is starting to get tiresome, and we’re sure the younger players hate it. Coming across as a bitter oldhead isn’t fun, and we just want proper coverage of the players in the league today. You shouldn’t have to be a top 10 player just to get your proper due. Let us know what you think about all this, in the comments below.

Shaq Goes Off On Dwight Howard Over Lack Of Success In Taiwan

Shaq has a long history of hating Dwight Howard. Their feud dates back to the late 2000s when Howard was overtaking O’Neal as the best center in the game. Overall, it became clear that Shaquille was simply jealous of the Orlando Magic superstar. However, he would never admit to it, and it led to a very interesting rivalry. Albeit, it was a rivalry that Howard ended up winning due to the fact that Shaq was older at the time. If you are a longtime NBA fan, you remember this feud quite fondly.

Now, Howard is out in Taiwan where he is playing in their professional league. Infamously, Howard had an amazing debut with the team where he scored a triple-double and even made some three-pointers. However, the team has truly struggled since then. They went on a ten-game losing streak and are now sitting at a record of 3-11. Simply put, Howard has not had the effect on the team that they were really hoping for. For Shaq, this is absolutely music to his ears.

Shaq Disses Dwight

While on The Big Podcast with Shaq, the NBA legend spoke to Candace Parker about Howard’s play in Taiwan. When O’Neal found out about the team’s record, he immediately made fun of Dwight. In Shaq’s mind, this lack of success is on Howard, and it is embarrassing to be losing while playing in Taiwan. “Somebody sent me that they have a losing record. I ain’t losing to anybody in Taiwan, I’ll tell you that,” Shaq said. “How do you have a losing record in Taiwan? Come on now.” Needless to say, Shaq was very excited about this new information. For him, any opportunity to make fun of Howard is a win.

If you’re Dwight Howard, you have to be pretty sick of Shaq and his antics at this point. Howard is just trying to live his life, and O’Neal won’t let him. Although, for the fans, it is always fun to see the big man in his element on his podcast. For now, it seems like this feud will always live on, no matter what. Let us know what you think of these remarks, in the comments below.

Stephen A. Smith Puts Immense Pressure On Devin Booker

Stephen A. Smith has watched a lot of basketball throughout his life and career. Overall, basketball is the sport he is fondest of. That said, he is constantly giving his opinion on hot topics pertaining to the game. For the most part, his opinion in the basketball community is respected. Although there are definitely some people out there who feel the opposite. After all, Smith is a pundit who never played the game at a high level. Consequently, there are going to be people who are skeptical of whatever he has to say.

Recently, a hot topic of debate has been none other than the Phoenix Suns. The team just picked up the likes of Kevin Durant in a trade that completely shook up the entire NBA. Moving forward, the Suns are seen as title favorites. Although, they will need everyone to fire on all cylinders to make this happen. In the eyes of Stephen A. Smith, there is one player who is more important than the rest. Interestingly enough, this player is not named Kevin Durant.

Stephen A. Speaks

In the video clip above, Smith can be seen putting all of the pressure on none other than Devin Booker. As Stephen A. explains, Booker proved himself to be an MVP-caliber player last season. However, it was Booker who began to fall short in the playoffs. That said, Smith wants to see Booker play championship ball in the postseason. Smith knows Chris Paul and Kevin Durant will be ready. Regardless, if the Suns want any chance of capturing a title, Stephen A. believes it will be on the shoulders of Booker.

The Suns are a team built to win an NBA title. If they cannot get that done with Durant on the roster, then it will be seen as an abject failure. That said, there is pressure all across the board for this team. KD wants to cement his legacy while Chris Paul wants that first title. Only time will tell whether or not they can get it done. In the meantime, give us your thoughts on Stephen A.’s hot take, down in the comments below.

Shannon Sharpe Reveals How He Feels About Michael Jordan

Shannon Sharpe is someone who is known for calling LeBron James the GOAT of basketball. One could just tune into Undisputed after a great game by LeBron and you will see Sharpe sporting the infamous GOAT mask. However, just because he loves LeBron doesn’t mean he also isn’t a fan of Michael Jordan. After all, Jordan won six NBA titles and was an icon of the sports world for many years. To this day, MJ is still considered to be the true GOAT and it is hard not to give him the respect he deserves.

In fact, Michael Jordan recently turned 60 years old. As we reported earlier this week, Jordan celebrated his birthday by coming through with a massive donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He gave the organization a whopping $10 million which is the largest individual donation they have ever received. Overall, it is clear that Jordan still has a big heart all these years later. As for Shannon Sharpe, he had praise for the legend on Undisputed today.

Shannon Sharpe Talks MJ

“You’ll never find another North American athlete that’ll surpass what Michael Jordan was or is,” Sharpe said. It is easy to see why Sharpe would have this take when you think about everything Jordan did while in the NBA. He had massive contributions to sneaker culture. Additionally, he changed the way the game of basketball was played. Now, every single player in the NBA seeks to have the athleticism that MJ once had. He is one of those players who deserves his flowers. Even Skip Bayless loves Jordan, noting “Michael Jordan is the rarest athlete I’ve ever closely observed. Michael Jordan at 60 to me is bigger than ever.”

Michael Jordan is one of those global icons who is hard to surpass. However, somehow and someway, LeBron James has attempted to do it, with quite a bit of success. Charles Barkley Calls Out The Los Angeles Clippers

Charles Barkley is someone who is known for being harsh and realistic about the chances of other teams. He is what the youth would call an “oldhead” when it comes to the world of basketball. Overall, he believes that his era was the best, and there is nothing you can do to convince him otherwise. For many sports fans, this attitude can be quite tiresome. However, there is no doubt that Barkley is an entertaining guy, which is ultimately why TNT keeps him employed.

Over the course of the last few years, the TNT crew has been skeptical of the Los Angeles Clippers. This is mostly due to the fact that Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are rarely on the floor together. Consequently, their team has had inconsistent spells in the regular season and the postseason. Overall, it has not been a good look for a team that was supposed to win a title before the LeBron Lakers. In the most recent episode of Inside the NBA, Barkley made sure to let the Clippers know about just how inconsistent they truly are.

Charles Barkley Speaks

“I’ll tell you what’s going to be interesting: this Clippers team in the Playoffs,” Barkley said. “They can win it, or they could lose in the first round. They are talented. They’re deep. They play great defense. … I picked them to win the West but they are… they got different personalities. Dr. Phil would have a field day with this team.” As it stands, the Clippers are simply praying for the health of Kawhi Leonard. Additionally, they are currently in talks with Russell Westbrook, which can either be very good or very bad for that roster.

At this point, the Western Conference is wide open. There are six teams that could realistically make a deep run. For now, however, the Clippers will continue to elicit skepticism until they are fully healthy and continue to play at a consistently high level. As always, let us know what you think of Charles Barkley and his remarks, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sports world.

Adam Silver Gets Honest About Player Empowerment

Adam Silver is one of the best commissioners in sports right now. Of all the professional sports leagues, there is no doubt that NBA players have the most freedom to do as they please. In fact, many would call this the “Player Empowerment Era.” Overall, this has led to players demanding trades and more often than not, getting what they desire. However, there have been drawbacks to this. Small market teams typically lose out, and there have been some obscene super teams to hit the scene.

Additionally, during the last trade deadline, players like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were traded. This ultimately changed the dynamic of the entire league, and the NBA wants to avoid situations like this. They understand how damaging it can be to a team when a player demands a trade. Subsequently, Silver spoke about this during an interview with ESPN. As you can see, he isn’t a fan of these trade requests.

Adam Silver Talks

“Player trade demands are a bad thing,” Silver said. “We don’t want them to happen, and we’ve got to focus on that and make sure that everyone is honoring their agreements. You never want it to get to the point where a player’s literally demanding that he goes somewhere else. And so, you know, again, something we’re discussing in collective bargaining. There aren’t, again, any simple fixes here or else we would’ve done it.” At this point, it remains to be seen what Silver will do to correct this trend. Whether or not he can do anything, is yet to be determined.

For many NBA fans, this era of trade requests has been frustrating. If you are a Phoenix Suns fan, you love it. Although, if you are a fan of the Nets, then this is truly an awful trend. Let us know what you think of all of this, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Jalen Rose Reveals How Much Men Should Spend On A Haircut

If you have ever watched Jalen Rose on TV, you know that he always has an amazing haircut. His hairline has been praised for years, and it feels as though he is getting a new haircut every single day. Overall, Rose has been very forthcoming about his hair regimens. He is someone who always has his barber on call, and he is always ready to shell out a few bucks to keep his hair looking crisp. Although, it makes sense that he would do this when you consider he is on television for ESPN pretty well every single day.

For many, going to the barber can be an anxiety-inducing experience. For instance, there is an expectation that you will have to engage in small talk. If you are socially anxious, this is a no-fly zone. Moreover, there is the risk that the barber goes his own way and gives you something you didn’t ask for. Finally, there is always the chance you just get a wack haircut that you want to cover up with a baseball cap.

Jalen Rose Tells All

Rose is someone who knows these feelings all too well, and recently, he came through with some advice for people looking to have a good experience at the barbershop. However, if you are someone on a budget, then this advice probably won’t work out too well for you. “The minimum you’re supposed to be spending for a quality barber is $100…So many guys & people out there think y’all gon’ show up & get a fly haircut for $35,” Rose said. It’s interesting advice, however, not everyone is going to have that much to spend on their hair every month.

Either way, it is very easy to see how Rose has such immaculate hair. When you have the barber connects, things become easier. For the average person, the message is simple: get your money up. Until then, you will have to hope and pray that the barber you go to won’t mess you up. Or, you can just go bald and avoid the barber for the rest of your life. Let us know what you think of Rose’s advice, in the comments below.

Kevin Durant Gets Emotional While Speaking On The Nets

Kevin Durant is now a proud member of the Phoenix Suns. Overall, he is one of the best players in the league, and he has just turned the Suns into title contenders. With Chris Paul and Devin Booker by his side, there is no doubt that the Suns should be strong. Although, there is now immense pressure on that roster, and if they are not able to deliver, then the fans are going to be angry beyond belief. Not to mention, KD is still injured which means there will be less opportunity for chemistry building ahead of the postseason.

Yesterday, Durant had his introductory press conference with the Suns. It was a very fun day for Durant as he even got to wear his Suns uniform for the first time. The media in Phoenix welcomed KD with open arms, and overall, it was nice to hear from him for the first time since the trade. According to TMZ, Durant is excited to be in Phoenix, although he is definitely sad about how things turned out in Brooklyn. In fact, he was even a bit emotional with tears in his eyes while speaking on his former team.

Kevin Durant Speaks

“I built a family over there,” he said. “They gon’ always be a part of my journey.” Moreover, Durant feels an extra bond with the players over in Brooklyn because they helped him when he needed it the most. “I love those guys,” Durant explained. “I get emotional talking about ’em because that was a special four years of my career, coming off an Achilles [injury] and they helped me a lot.” Needless to say, Durant truly wanted to win a title in Brooklyn. However, that was going to be impossible as soon as Kyrie Irving demanded a trade out of town.

At this point, Durant needs to win a title in Phoenix in order to sure up his legacy. If he cannot get it done with Chris Paul and D-Book, then some will have a lot to say about his run. These next few months are going to be pivotal for KD, and we cannot wait to see how it plays out. Let us know how you think Durant will do, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Colin Cowherd Floats Anthony Davis To Dallas Rumor

Colin Cowherd is one of the most entertaining people on sports talk television. Overall, this is due to the fact that he is always changing his mind based on what the correct position is. For instance, he will make a prediction that is usually wrong. Subsequently, he will come into his show the next day and act as if he always knew the correct outcome was going to happen. It’s pretty funny to watch him do this, and fans have taken note of his various hot takes.

Typically, Cowherd will also provide fans with some wild rumors that a little birdie told him. These rumors can be quite outlandish, although sometimes, they feel like they hold some weight. On the most recent edition of his show, Cowherd felt the need to speculate on the relationship between LeBron James and Anthony Davis. There has been this sense that AD is upset with LeBron, although AD himself noted that is not the case. However, this did not stop Cowherd from delivering some rumors pertaining to the Lakers’ personnel.

Colin Cowherd Speculates

In the clip above, Cowherd claims that we could see a scenario in which the Lakers traded Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks. This could include a sign and trade for Kyrie Irving come the summer once Kyrie becomes a free agent. “LeBron and his camp have been frustrated by how many minutes he has to play,” Cowherd claimed. “They cant depend on Anthony Davis. They are also mad that Darvin Ham is not keeping the pressure on Anthony Davis.” These are definitely some interesting comments, although most Lakers fans are convinced this will not happen. After all, this is coming from Cowherd of all people.

The Lakers do remain in a precarious position. They need to make the playoffs in order to justify some of the moves they have made over the past year or so. If they cannot get that done, then this team is truly in shambles despite LeBron and AD’s presence on the team. Let us know what you think the Lakers are going to do, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Celtics Cut Ties With Ime Udoka, Name Joe Mazzulla As Head Coach

The Boston Celtics announced that Ime Udoka is no longer a franchise member and promoted interim Joe Mazzulla to head coach. As readers likely recall, the Boston team suspended the former head coach for having inappropriate relations with a team staffer. Moreover, the news quickly captured the pop culture world given his former relationship with Nia Long. Furthermore, the Celtics’ president of basketball operations Brad Stevens issued a statement addressing the team’s next chapter.

“As he has shown, Joe is a very talented coach and leader,” he remarked. “He has a unique ability to galvanize a room around a mission. We are thankful for the work he has done to help get us to this point, and excited that he has agreed to lead us into the future.” As reported, the Celtics suspended Udoka for a year with no pay due to his consensual but improper and highly publicized scandal. In fact, it also destroyed his chances at stepping in as head coach for the Brooklyn Nets. While many believed that the official removal would come after the suspension term’s end, they took a big step in charting their future.

Moreover, Mazzulla worked hard to push the Boston team to the best record in the league (42-17). In addition, he formed trusting relationships with the players and might score their potential first championship since 2008. However, things weren’t always that easy for the longtime coach and his new team. Many Celtics players felt frustrated at poor transparency regarding Udoka’s removal, since he almost won them a title last June. Marcus Smart told The Boston Globe, “Obviously, we wish he was here. We have no control over that. I guess it was deemed that whatever happened was enough for him not to be the coach here, but I guess not enough for him [not] to be a coach anywhere else, obviously.”

Meanwhile, Mazzulla spoke with professionalism and dedication about being in the middle of a rift between players and the organization. “I just have a job to do,” he expressed. “Just focus on that. The guys are bought in. They trust me for the position that I’m in. And I just can’t take that trust for granted. I’ve just got to do my job, whatever we’ve got to do to win. And it will figure itself out.” As always, come back to HNHH for the latest NBA news and more updates on the Boston Celtics.
