Chris Brown Must Pay Dancer $15K For Eye Injuries From Fake Blood On Music Video Set

Chris Brown is known to go big with his music videos, but evidently, that doesn’t come without a cost. Back in 2019, backup dancer Danielle Griffin filed a lawsuit against the R&B icon, claiming to have sustained injuries on the set of his “High End” video. Instead of addressing the lawsuit, he ignored it, and he’s now been ordered to pay up.

In her lawsuit, Griffin claims that while shooting the video in 2017, someone from the wardrobe department approached her with fake blood. She was hesitant to allow the substance to be poured over her without wearing eye protection. The dancer was quickly assured, however, that it wouldn’t do her any harm. Unfortunately, that didn’t end up being the case.

Dancer Claims Fake Blood Left Her In Need Of Medical Treatment

Griffin says that shortly after the shoot, she began to experience issues, and had to seek medical treatment. Around the time of her original filing, photos of Griffin’s eyes swollen and leaking pus began to circulate online. As a result of the incident, she was forced to stay inside to recover for months, costing her job opportunities and even forcing her to drop out of her master’s degree program. She also claims she wasn’t given any assistance amid her recovery. Now, Brown must pay her a nearly $15K default judgment for her medical expenses and other damages.

While accepting the Global Icon Award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, last month, he discussed how he created the iconic “Diddy Bop” move. “I got depressed and I would be in the clubs dancing in New York doing my ‘Diddy Bop,’ and then people would see me and they would cast me for videos,” he said. “That’s how I fell in love with the music industry. I saw the executives and I wanted to chase that dream. So I wanna thank every executive, every producer, every songwriter. I gotta thank the Bad Boy family ’cause without them I would not be up here. I love y’all from the bottom of my heart.”

Fans Added Twerking Megan Thee Stallion As A Backup Dancer For Adele

It’s Thanksgiving week, so holiday malaise has already set in. People are at home, possibly bored, possibly eating too much turkey, and very likely pondering the existential questions of the universe. Like, what makes a good relationship? When will I discover my true calling? And, of course, my personal favorite: How come Adele never has any back up dancers? At least, that last one was what one Twitter user had on their mind a few days ago, given the arrival of 30 and its insane first-week sales, she’s definitely been on everyone’s minds quite a bit lately.

But of course, in true Twitter fashion, it was a reply to the tweet — with a homemade, DIY solution — that really had the internet up in arms this Thanksgiving. To solve the problem that the original poster pointed out, another Twitter genius added footage of Megan Thee Stallion twerking to a song with the closest rhythm match. Seriously, this mashup is almost perfect, which makes the whole thing even better. While Adele belts out her 25 hit “Water Under The Bridge,” Megan pops and rolls behind her. Honestly, this is a collaboration that the internet has already gotten ahem, behind, it might just make sense to bring it into the real world. Adele, your move!
