Rich Dollaz Defends Daughter, Says She Shot Ex Because She Was Scared

After his daughter was arrested for shooting the father of her child, Rich Dollaz came to her defense. We previously reported that Ashley Trowers was taken into custody after her ex, Demiah Tatum, and another man showed up at her job. Trowers is said to have a restraining order against Tatum and was allegedly fearful of what could happen.

“There was a domestic incident recently, and my daughter was forced to go to the authorities and file for a restraining order,” Rich told TMZ. “Obviously, anyone who knows anything about a restraining order, you’re not allowed to be in the presence of the other person.”

“So, with that being said, he had no business pulling up to her job, number one,” he also stated. “Number two, he had no business getting out of his car and approaching her car.”

TMZ asked what it was that made Trowers so scared that she fired her weapon.

“Well, because he was approaching her vehicle,” Rich answered. “They have already been—this isn’t just a one-time incident. This is things that have led up to this. Him sending text messages, him sending things to her, him showing his gun, him doing things that would put her in fear.”

The Love & Hip Hop star also suggested that Tatum cut up Trowers’s clothing.

Rich further stated they still don’t know how Tatum found out where Trowers worked. It was her first day at a new job when the incident occurred. Some suggested that Tatum “just happened to pull up,” but Rich isn’t convinced it was that simple.

Following the arrest of his daughter, Rich Dollaz has spoken out about the incident. The Love & Hip Hop star was thrust into headlines this week after his daughter, Ashley Trowers, was reportedly taken into custody. She’s accused of shooting the father of her child, Demiah Tatum, when he showed up at her job.

It was said that Trowers was in the middle of her first day at work at a Kroger gas station when Tatum arrived with another man. She reportedly has a restraining order against Tatum, and when she ran, Trowers claims the men chased her in a car.

It was then that Trowers reportedly shot at the vehicle, striking Tatum. She was arrested for aggravated assault.

“I’m baffled as anyone else,” Rich told The Shade Room. While he lives in Dallas, Trowers resides in Memphis. “I’m not with Ashley every day.” He also chastised people who criticized Trowers for working at a Krogers. Rich thinks it’s admirable that his daughter wants to make her own way.

“My daughter is a 20-something-year-old with a newborn baby that lived with her man, and she’s a grown adult,” he also shared. “I found out Ashley worked at Kroger at the same time everyone else did.” Adding, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my daughter wanting to do it on her own.”

“I don’t condone shooting, I don’t condone violence, I don’t condone any of that,” said Rich. “But at the end of the day, I’m never going to be okay with a man putting his hand on my kid, either.”

“Being involved in a situation where a man is putting his hands on you is never good,” he further stated. It seems that his daughter didn’t tell him everything that was going on.

“Ashley’s a grown woman. She’s not a 17-year-old kid living under my roof, she’s not an 18-year-old, she’s not in college anymore. She’s a graduate, she’s done with all that, she’s on her own.”

Additionally, Miracle, Ashley’s mother, also previously got into trouble for shooting her husband. The case was eventually dismissed.

“It was a domestic violence situation with Miracle, the same as it was with Ashley,” said Rich. “Two women were defending themselves, and I’m always going to stand by. Just like when Miracle shot her husband, I stood by her, and I want to stand by my daughter.”

According to a report from TMZ, Ashley Trowers, the daughter of Love & Hip Hop New York regular Rich Dollaz, was arrested in Memphis after police say that Trowers shot at the father of her child.

Police reports say that Trowers claims that she was on the first day of a new job as a security guard in Kroger’s supermarket when her child’s father, Demiah Tatum, along with another man rolled up on her in a Cadillac ATS. She claims she tried to get way from them, but when she couldn’t, she fired two shots at the Caddy, hitting the car. She called the police and explained that she had a restraining order against him and was scared when she seen him.

Trowers was arrested for aggravated assault and taken to Shelby County Jail before being released on her own recognizance.

Ironically, Ashley’s mother, Miracle Kay Hall, was arrested in 2018 for allegedly shooting her husband. She claimed self-defense and the aggravated assault case was dismissed.

TMZ shared that Ashley Trowers was arrested in Memphis after police alleged she shot the father of her child, Demiah Tatum. She reportedly has a restraining order against him. They welcomed a child just a few months ago.

The outlet claimed to have obtained documents that detailed what allegedly occurred. It’s said that Trowers was at a Kroger gas station on her first day of work when Tatum showed up with a man named Mykel Yates around midnight in a vehicle.

The report stated Trowers attempted to flee the scene, but the men “caught up to her.” It was then that “she fired two shots” and hit the car. Trowers called the police to report the incident and told authorities that she feared Tatum.

She also told police she didn’t know how Tatum found her considering it was her first day at work. Trowers further stated she believed someone in the vehicle was reaching for a gun.

However, Yates later asserted they only wanted to give Trowers money. She was arrested for aggravated assault. She has since been released.
