Fans were initially surprised by the news, though many seemed to be rooting for the young pair. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out between them, and the English songstress has since moved on with Romain Gavras.

Their relationship hasn’t been a secret as it first made headlines back in March. However, the couple has kept a relatively low profile in the time since. They finally making their red carpet debut over the weekend at Cannes Film Festivan in France. Both looked extremely elegant in their black-tie outfits. Dua’s wispy bangs shielded her face from the camera above her cut-out clad little black dress. While some are happy to see the Future Nostalgia songstress on the arm of a handsome man, her ex, Anwar Hadid, seemed far less enthused on his Instagram Stories.

Dua Lipa Debuts Her Relationship at Cannes

“Trying not to find and kill him :),” the model wrote in one of his uploads, which finds him looking down at the camera with a straight face. “I can’t [breathe],” he added in another selfie, followed by an image of the ground with “I hate the way you say my name,” typed out across it. Before long, viewers assumed Hadid was talking about Dua, likely due to his history of sharing cryptic posts about former lovers.

Regardless of what internet sleuths are speculating, Hadid shut down the gossip with another Story. “Crazy how the internet will just make whole articles about shit they don’t know anything about!!” he ventred. “Y’all are bored as f*ck!!!! SORRY.”
