Megan Thee Stallion Announces New Album, “Megan,” Releasing Later This Month

Megan Thee Stallion will officially be releasing her highly-anticipated third studio album, Megan, later this month. She announced the project on Sunday night while performing in Atlanta for her Hot Girl Summer tour. After the show, she confirmed the news on Instagram. She’s been teasing the project’s release for months.

Sharing the cover artwork, Megan wrote: “SURPRISE HOTTIESSSS!!!! My New Album ‘MEGAN’ will be coming out JUNE 28. Click the link in bio to PRE-SAVE NOW!” Fans in the comments section were elated by the announcement. “A world tour AND a new album!?!? we’re really outside this summer,” one user wrote. Another added: “A SELF TITLE ALBUM??? OH MY GOD IM NOT READY.”

Megan discussed what fans can expect from the new project during an interview with L’OFFICIEL earlier this week. “This is music I would like if I wasn’t Megan Thee Stallion. I don’t want to say I’m tapping into other genres. I’m just tapping into other sounds. But it’s still very much Megan Thee Stallion. It won’t feel like I went so left. It’ll feel true to me,” she told the outlet. “You’ll almost be like, ‘I wouldn’t have thought she would’ve rapped over that, but this sounds great.’” Megan will be dropping on June 28.

Rumors that Beyonce will soon have a residency in Vegas have been circulating for some time, and now, fans are more suspicious than ever. Earlier today, Live Nation Vegas took to Instagram to share a cryptic teaser about an exciting announcement coming tomorrow. The post features a photo of a cowboy hat-clad woman in the shadows, which many think could be the Queen herself.

Of course, the rumors are unconfirmed for now, though some fans are completely convinced. “Vegas, hold your horses…wild horses that is! Big announcement coming tomorrow!” Live Nation’s caption reads. Instagram users are hard at work debating in the comments section, picking apart the post in attempts to determine if a Cowboy Carter residency is imminent.

Of course, many theorized that she could be preparing to announce more details of her upcoming album. This is unconfirmed, though she’s been teasing it for months now. She previously claimed that it’ll arrive in time for summer, though an official release date and title have yet to be revealed.

Amid the chatter, however, Meg posted a follow-up Tweet announcing that the performance had to be postponed. According to her, a major water main break in the city left her with no choice. “Unfortunately, we will need to reschedule tonight’s show at State Farm Arena due to the massive water main break that The City of Atlanta is experiencing,” she wrote.

Nicki Minaj Reveals The Dates For The Second North American Leg Of Her “Pink Friday 2” Tour

Nicki Minaj first revealed the dates for her new Pink Friday 2 tour late last year. It followed the release of the album of the same name, her first in 5 years dating back to Queen. The tour took off in February and has made near nightly news ever since. Rather than taking a variety of opening acts along with her she opted to bring out multiple high-profile guests at almost every stop on the tour so far. She’s already embarked on the European leg of the tour but fans in North America who didn’t get to see her the first time around will have another chance.

Nicki recently announced that there would be a second North American leg of the Pink Friday 2 tour later this year. While she didn’t reveal much of any info about when and where she would be playing, fans didn’t have to wait long for the official announcement. She unveiled 22 new dates beginning in early September and running into October. The tour is scheduled to hit 21 different spots, with an additional second show in Los Angeles. Earlier this week Nicki made headlines for something other than her tour shows. That came when she was arrested in Amsterdam on alleged drug charges. Videos of her interaction with police flooded the internet quickly and generated backlash for the way she was treated. Thankfully, the show was quickly rescheduled with a new date having already been announced.

Rakim is planning to release a new album later this summer according to Kurupt. He made the announcement in a post on Instagram, Friday, while sharing the artwork for a single he’s featured on that appears to be from the project. The track’s title is “Rebirth” and it is produced by Rakim. Masta Killa is also featured on the song as well. In the caption of his post, Kurupt wrote: “July 26th – “Rebirth” Rakim new album Produced by Tha God Mc himself…. #Rakim #MasterKilla #GOTTi MY GOD……”

Fans were hyped in the comments section over the news. “OMG indeed! Is this a cover for a single?? I can’t believe a new Ra is on its way,” one user wrote. Another added: “I would of love to hear two or the greatest in tha lab. I bet they was going bacc to bacc.” More fans left behind heaps of fire emojis.

Instead of dreaming of things like fancy cars and designer goods, Saffold says she wants to put her money toward a good cause.

“I’m about to get so rich that I buy back them souls from the Illuminati,” she wrote simply. Saffold didn’t provide her followers with many more details than that, so it remains unclear whose souls she plans to rescue, or what she would do with them. For obvious reasons, her claim has confused fans and left them with a few questions.

Vince Staples Announces Final Def Jam Album, “Dark Times”

Vince Staples has announced that he will be releasing his final album with Def Jam, later this week. He shared that the project’s title is Dark Times while reflecting on his experiences with the label in a post on Instagram, on Sunday.

“Eleven years ago, a young, uncertain version of myself was given an opportunity with Def Jam Recordings,” he began. “I released my first project under their banner, Shyne Coldchain Vol 2, a year later. I was unsure of what to expect from the world of music but deeply aware of what I needed: a change in my surroundings and a clear understanding of self. Ten years and seven projects later, I’ve found that clarity. Now, I share with you my final Def Jam release, Dark Times.” He concluded by revealing the project will be dropping on Friday, May 24th.

Dark Times will be Staples’ first album since 2022’s Ramona Park Broke My Heart. Juvenile Announces New Hot Boys Album With Lil Wayne, B.G. & Turk

Fans have long been requesting a Hot Boys reunion, and it looks like their prayers have finally been answered. During a recent chat with fans on Instagram Live, founding member Juvenile announced that their first album in over two decades is currently in the works. Their last effort, Let ‘Em Burn, was released in March of 2003.

He shared the news in response to fans’ reunion demands, as seen in a clip from the Live. “The Hot Boys Is back together, man,” he said, explaining that he’ll be working alongside his fellow members in the coming weeks. “Any other f*cking questions?” He’s yet to confirm an official release date, but for obvious reasons, fans can’t wait.

The exciting announcement follows B.G.’s release from prison after a 12-year stay, as well as a bit of tension between him and another Hot Boys member. The rapper teamed up with Finesse2tymes for their track “Gangstafied” in January, taking shots at none other than Lil Wayne. “My n***a Weezy steady tourin’, but he’s a b*tch and it’s showin’,” he rhymed, prompting big reactions from fans. He later clarified that he didn’t mean any harm. “I tell a n***a I love him and call him a b***h all in the same sentence, man,” he told fans on Live.

Nonetheless, they’ve been teasing the idea of a reunion for some time. In February, only a few weeks after being dissed, Lil Wayne told YG on the 4HUNNID podcast that the only thing holding them back was B.G.’s travel restrictions. “Juvie ready and Turk ready, but really we gotta see if Geezy can move around,” he said. TLC Forced To Postpone Canadian Tour Dates As T-Boz Catches Flu

Legendary Atlanta R&B group TLC has been in the midst of another tour, but they have had to postpone some shows. According to HipHopDX, the now duo of T-Boz and Chilli announced the heartbreaking news on their official Instagram page on Monday (May 13). In the post, they explained that four shows in Canada were being rescheduled because of several members of the crew became quite sick. One of them was T-Boz, who has had her fair share of nagging issues over the years. According to Billboard, two years ago T-Boz had an allergic reaction to cigarette and recreational smoking going on backstage. Because of that incident, they were forced to reschedule two stops for their Celebration of CrazySexyCool Tour.

Furthermore, in 2017 Billboard also reported that a European tour was postponed due to T-Boz suffering a cervical disc issue. It is sad to see T-Boz continue to come down with so many different issues. Our best wishes go out to her and the rest of the TLC crew. As for this Canadian set, shows on May 14, 16, 17, and 18 are being moved to a later date. The locations include Moncton, New Brunswick, Windsor, Ontario, Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Peterborough, Ontario.

In the group’s statement, they expressed how awful they felt and how appreciative they were of their fans. “We deeply regret to inform you that we must cancel the upcoming date. Unfortunately, a few members of our tour, including T-boz, have fallen ill with the flu. As a result, she has lost her voice. Doctors have advised her not to perform this week,” they said. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to the opportunity to perform for you in the near future. We love you and will see you soon.”

Mach-Hommy Announces New Album After Collaborating With Kaytranada For New Song, “#RichAxxHaitian”

Mach-Hommy has shared the title track from his upcoming album, #RichAxxHaitian, which he’ll be dropping later this month ahead of Haitian Flag Day. For the song, he teams up with Kaytranada and 03 Greedo. In a press release sharing the news with HipHopDX, Mach discussed the collaborators he chose to work with for the project.

“All the people I worked with are people who I know and who I’ve worked with before,” Mach said. “I like to deal with like-minded creatives. Even if the person has their own panache or je nais se quoi that they bring to the table, there has to be a thread of commonality between us in order for the work to sustain. And not to mention they’re fucking talented, exceptionally gifted at what they do, and the ear that they possess.” Other rappers to land features on the tracklist include Black Thought, Roc Marciano, Your Old Droog, Tha God Fahim, HEPHZIBAH, Big Cheeko, and more. For production, he also teamed up with Conductor Williams, Quelle Chris, and Sadhu Gold, among others.

Mach-Hommy Drops First Single From New Album

Mach-Hommy also says the new album is the final installment in a “tetralogy,” which began with his outstanding 2016 effort, HBO (Haitian Body Odor), and also features his 2021 projects, Pray for Haiti and Balens Cho (Hot Candles). According to Pitchfork, he explained: “I’ve always wanted to rep for Haiti and the cultural and intellectual richness we’ve provided the world. From our musical styles like kontradans that have influenced world music, our natural resources which provide so much raw material for so many important advancements in technology, our thinkers that pioneered philosophical movements and Black pride, and our spiritual leaders who kept the religious traditions of Guinea alive and intact, the religious traditions of Ayiti….”
