If you are a big fan of the Air Jordan 1 Mid, then these last few years have been fantastic for you. The Jordan 1 Mid is one of those shoes that is known for being accessible and inexpensive. Additionally, this is an offering that is constantly getting some dope new colorways.
With the Air Jordan 1 High OG being the flagship model of the line, Jumpman tries to experiment more with the Mid. If something is successful, then they transplant that look onto the High OG. Overall, it is a smart strategy that has led to offerings like the one down below.
A New Air Jordan 1 Mid
In the following official images, you can find a gorgeous new Air Jordan 1 Mid. This shoe is supposedly going to drop in grade school sizes and is meant to be a women’s shoe. Furthermore, one could make the argument that these were made with Valentine’s Day in mind.
Firstly, this shoe starts off with a basic white leather base. From the toe box to the side panels, there is a very solid start to the shoe. Secondly, the overlays here are all a bubblegum shade of pink. Lastly, the Nike swoosh is a bit darker and could even be described as purple.
If you are in need of some sneakers that are pink, then these will be for you. Of course, these will not be for everyone, although you can’t help but appreciate how bold they are. Pink shoes can be for anyone, especially when Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.

“I finally got ’em. Anybody know me I been trying to get these for the longest time,” he says. “Yes, I have a lot of sneakers. I collect sneakers, I collect watches and I love my sneakers but I been trying to get these for so long and I finally got ’em.”
“The word is they only made like 23 pairs of these… I’m sure they made a little more than that but I know I been trying to get ’em and I could never get ’em,” Khaled continued.
Eminem’s “Encore” Jordans were originally released in 2005, according to HipHopDX, with only 50 pairs for his friends and family. Most recently, in 2017, there was a retro version of the shoe offered — with only 23 pairs made available, of which Khaled seemingly bought.
The publication notes that only one pair of the iconic shoe currently is being sold for $47,000 as a minimum.
As for Khaled, he’s been a documented sneakerhead. He even showed off his extensive shoe closet during an episode of Complex Closets in 2015, which has likely only grown since then.
If you love the Air Jordan 1 Low, the you have probably had a hard time trying to figure out which colorway you want to buy. Over the last little while, there has been an overabundance of Jordan 1 Lows on the market. Although it’s been a lot, Jordan Brand is still coming through with new stuff.
In addition to colorways for men, Jumpman has also come through with plenty of women’s offerings. Women sneakerheads have been blessed with some awesome shoes as of late, and Jordan Brand has noticed the appreciation. That said, it is easy to see why Jumpman would continue pumping out new models.
Air Jordan 1 Low “Green/Aquatone”
In the images down below, you can find a new Jordan 1 Low that doesn’t have a nickname. However, what we do know is that the two main colors here are lucky green and aquatone. These tones combine for a women’s exclusive that is going to turn some heads.
Firstly, the shoe starts out with your typical white leather base. From there, the shoe is blessed with some lucky green overlays. Finally, aquatone is placed on all of the logos. For instance, the Nike swoosh, Jumpman logo, and wings logo are all blue.
Overall, this is yet another solid Air Jordan 1 Low colorway. Jumpman knows that this shoe is a safe bet, and we will continue to see new offerings, well into the future. Hopefully, they can keep that momentum going.

Today’s generation may not be as familiar with 50 Cent’s music catalog as previous ones, but they certainly know his business dealings. The Queens native has become a dominating force in film and television, but his first successful business venture was in fashion, thanks to his company G-Unit Clothing.
During the height of his musical career, the “I Get Money” rapper inked a multimillion-dollar sneaker deal with Reebok. The G-Unit sneaker became a cultural wave in the early 2000s as the rapper and then-artists Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck sported the footwear in their music videos.
In a new interview with Complex, Reebook’s CEO Todd Krinsky revealed that at one point in the partnership, a pair of G-Unit sneakers nearly outpaced a pair of Air Jordans in a similar colorway.
Krinsky shared, “We were selling like, you know, 40-50,000 per color at a time. I remember that back-to-school, we sold on one color, like 75,000 pairs. I’m not saying, by the way, that G-Unit was ever close to Jordan in any way. I’m saying that one moment in time, that one colorway, I think we sold in almost as many pairs as the Jordan launch for that period.” He added, “[50 Cent] was always saying how many Jordans sell this week. I’m telling you, he was literally asking that every week or every time we had a meeting.”
The executive also spoke about how involved the rapper was in the partnership: “50 was also incredibly immersed in the business. Like he came to every meeting on time, ready to go, and his first question every meeting was, ‘How many pairs we sell this week?’”
In 2014, during an interview with radio personality Ebro Darden, 50 Cent briefly spoke about how important it was for him to be seen in the shoes, which resulted in higher sales. Still, some of them didn’t take the deal as seriously as he did.
The rapper said, “[Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck] had Reebok deals but forgot to wear the shoes, so I stopped paying them,” he continued, “Jay Z used athletes to promote his S. Carter’s. I used my artists to help bring them additional money because they weren’t demanding enough interest to have the [shoe] deal on their own.”
He eventually cut ties with Reebok for a deal with Marc Echo before parting ways with the company in 2008. G Unit clothing is now sold exclusively online.
